Kathy was an absolute pleasure to work with- responsive, helpful and quick to answer questions. The house was perfect for sharing with 4 adults and our 2 grandsons. The boys loved exploring, playing catch in the spacious yard, and ending the evenings with a campfire and s’mores. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare big family meals, and the beds were comfortable, with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. While the TV was easy to use, we preferred soaking in the beautiful views and playing games on the porch! Saw an otter floating around too. Adventure day: Visit Tumwater Falls in Olympia, it’s a easy beautiful trail walk, Saturday market for fresh baked goods and veggies, then on the way back to the house stop at the Home Meat Service for steaks and some of the best ice cream we’ve ever had! The grill at the house was perfect for our cookout! Highly recommend and look forward to visiting again soon!

Vrithi was very responsive when we had a minor issue with the water heater, and it was addressed quickly and efficiently. The house was just as described, with amazing views of the water, including a regular visit by a sea lion. The first time you arrive it is a bit tricky to find the entry drive, but the directions are clear and easy to follow. Would happily recommend this space.

If you're looking to get away somewhere where the world can't find you, you can't do much better than Lost Lake, which is a peaceful 20 minute drive west from Shelton. And if you're staying on Lost Lake, you can't do much better than Debbie's house, which sits on a point sticking right out into the middle of the lake. Water on three sides! The house is simple and comfortable, and if the weather's nice you won't want to leave the patio--BBQ, large dining table, patio chairs, and raised firepit. And of course, hopping in the kayaks and paddleboats to tour the lake is a must. We came here for an unusually sunny and warm April weekend but would definitely come back for high summer!

Serene oasis is an understatement! The linens were top tier, and the space was warm, cozy, and bright, with oversized windows overlooking the Puget Sound. The waterfront was truly spectacular, and the hosts even came and asked if we wanted a bonfire and built one for us. The space was large enough to host friends and family for meals, and the location was absolutely a perfect balance between a serene cottage and close to one of the best farmers markets, waterfront shops, the Evergreen State College trails, and the campus. This trip was soul-reviving, and the hosts' generous, clean, warm, and accommodating space was a large part of it. I will look at this space first every time I come back into town.

One of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed in! A little piece of heaven. Incredible views of the water and yard from every room in the house. Plentiful toys books and games for the kids- we didn’t even turn on the tv. The kitchen was a dream to cook in- very well stocked. Comfortable beds and linens very thoughtfully curated. Matt’s home is a treasure.

Our family loved the place. So much to do on location. Great place to spend time with family or friends. We loved the lodge, the kitchen was stocked well, the bedding was clean, the location was beautiful. Lots to do, games, hot tub ,hiking on the properties trails, a library of books, campfire, fishing, kayak, canoe, paddleboard, corn hole, record player with great sound and music. Wood fired pizza oven. The family said over and over, good find mom! So I think we will book this place again sometime. As an artistic family we loved supporting local artist by staying there. Thanks for a nice stay!

A light, airy, bright and spacious home, very comfortable and perfect for a private get-away for a couple, a family or several friends to gather. All of the amenities were there - a well-stocked kitchen, nice big grill, lots of towels, boots for going in the water at low tide to gather oysters (which we did every day!). Instructions are very clear and cover everything you might need to know, just be sure to read them! Sitting out on the large, comfortable deck with a cup of coffee in the quiet of morning, or enjoying "happy hour" in the evening, it was all perfect. Be sure to read some of the comments in the guest book, some of them are hilarious and heart-warming at the same time. Shannon was VERY responsive. We were supposed to leave on a Sunday but we saw in the instructions that if you wanted a late check-out, check with Shannon as it might be possible. We reached out and asked if we could stay one more day and luckily, that worked out. Definitely recommend.

Overall we had a wonderful stay at Damian’s beach house. You can tell they love it and stay here themselves. We loved all the decorations and thoughtful touches. Damian communicates well and is responsive. Just a heads up that Herron island does not have any stores on it and you take a ferry to get there. Overall the ferry was an easy process. If you have littles I would bring a portable baby gate for the bottom and top stairs like we did. Step stairs that have gaps between stairs. The beds are very firm which was fine for us but just an fyi. They have lots of life jackets, water shoes, towels, spices, appliances, silverware etc. which were very helpful. The pool and hot tub were delightful.

My friends and I had the best time here ! Lots of comfortable hang out spaces , lots to do, and we are already trying to find what our next trip back is going to be. Wish we stayed for another day

What a great stay at Jeffrey’s place! The check-in was smooth, and the space was huge (so much more than I was even expecting). The amenities looked inviting, and the condo has everything for cooking and keeping things tidy. I would recommend the Fred Meyer in nearby Shelton for groceries and anything fresh you might want, it seems more accessible than supermarkets in Belfair. The spot was extremely private and peaceful, and having our own walking space and beach for the resort was a really convenient touch. Thanks again for a lovely visit!

Absolutely look forward to staying here again. Wonderful kitchen to cook family meals. Large table and roomy family room with incredible view of MT Rainier while you eat and socialize. The communication was outstanding with the local host.

Really enjoyed the stay and the host was great. Enjoyed the kayak and hot tub, and wildlife kept us entertained. Close amenities and beautiful view made it the peaceful getaway we were hoping for!

Beautiful place to stay with large windows facing the water and incredible views. Enjoyed seeing seals, and the Great Blue Heron exploring the water. Beds were comfy and kitchen well-stocked. Community is very peaceful and quiet and enjoyed many walks/runs on the paths. Would absolutely stay here again!

The house and location were wonderful! Very clean, and a beautiful view! The space was comfy and cozy, and everything was there to cook a nice meal (except the food, of course). Loved the walking trails, and the easy access to the beaches. We had a great time and even scheduled another short visit for August! We highly recommend this home.

My family and I had a great time staying at Debra’s beautiful and spacious home! It was the perfect jumping off point for many day trips to hikes in the area. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Suzanne's in Lilliwap. The house was immaculately cleaned, well stocked, and a superb location. The early morning sun reflecting off Hood Canal and into the picture windows was a highlight. We would definitely stay there again.

This was our second stay and we had a great time once again. The ability to grab a kayak and walk right out to the water is unbeatable. There were a couple of issues this time (through no fault of the owners/managers) and their immediate communication throughout, assistance with those problems, and attempts to fix them or reimburse just go to show how much they care that we have a great stay. Highly recommended!

I came to Kenny and Kelly's beautiful home to enjoy some time in nature. I expected to have good views and a restful time - What I did not expect was the gorgeous surround view from the master suite and the tranquility of the entire stay. We watched the tide every morning. My partner and I saw birds of all kinds. Waking up to a light dusting of snow on our last two mornings was magical. During our last breakfast, we watched an otter come out of the water and crawl along the beach! We were surrounded by nature, and the many windows in the home allowed us to watch from the warmth and comfort of inside. Watching the snow fall onto the water from the hot tube is an experience is will always cherish! At every corner of this home, you will find luxury, comfort, and relaxtion. I cannot recommend this stay enough! Thank you Kenny and Kelly!

Great stay for our group of 10 considering the price of other local BnBs, though it is not as new as some other houses on the canal. A bit cold when we arrived but warmed up by the next day, and had enough space for 5 cars. Host had great communication and addressed all questions before and during the stay. Had enough kitchen tools to cook a variety of meals using the oysters we collected at low tide, a clean hot tub, interior, and a simple checkout. Thanks for an easy stay!

This place is magical! I truly felt like I was on a vacation where I could just stay put and not leave the property whatsoever. The views are to die for and the marine life was sublime! Hope to come back again. I took my 20 something daughters and they both felt the same way. They kayaked and were kids again examining all the seashells, crabs, etc.

It was so enjoyable to be right on the shore of Hood Canal. We saw otters hunting and eating just 20 feet from the shore and even a harbor seal. The neighbors are friendly, too.

This beach house is exactly what we needed! We booked it to escape the city and enjoy some peace and quiet with friends. The house was spacious and very cozy. Waking up each morning to the amazing water views was a delight! The host has thought of everything you might need for a fun and comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend this beach house!

Gorgeous, quiet, private location with a wonderful view of the water and sometimes Mt. Rainier. The house, kitchen and beds were comfortable. There is a wood stove but only enough kindling for one night when we were staying for three. Disappointing on those cool two evenings. And, admittedly annoying, was the expectation we clean out the wood stove at the end of our stay. Messy and irritating job that I’ve never been asked to do as an Airbnb guest. But the house was otherwise very suitable for our needs for a getaway.
