A lovely place to stay in Manitoulin. A spacious cottage with lots of room in the kitchen for cooking, a comfortable living room and a nice large TV. The patio was so inviting with comfy furniture and a beautiful view of the lake. We especially loved swimming in the lake! A sandy bottom and shallow, like a lot of the beaches on Lake Huron. There are amazing hikes close by with lots of options for places to eat and buy food. We would stay here again in our next visit to Manitoulin for sure.

I felt at home from the time we entered the property. The cottage was very spacious and had a lot of natural light coming in. The sunroom/ living room was my favorite. You felt even when you were inside, you were still connected to the outside with all the windows. Outside it had a large deck, with a covered portion, and step down you could sunbath. The lake side was amazing, having crystal clear water and paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe. If that wasn’t enough, there was an amazing sauna that also had windows that allowed you to see the kids swimming in the lake. Bridal veil falls and the cup and saucer trails are really close by, which makes this property amazing. I will definitely book this property again.

Nous étions en couple et avons apprécié notre séjour dans la grande maison d'Hilary. C'est très bien situé : proche d'une commune dynamique tout en étant suffisamment éloignée pour apprécier le silence du mois d'avril en regardant le lac gelé. Si nous habitions dans les environs , ce serait à coup sûr notre hébergement de repos. La maison est fonctionnelle et simple. Le chauffage était au top. Même par mauvais temps, vous pouvez contempler le paysage depuis la chambre principale ou le salon. De multiples fenêtres permettent d'apprécier la vue sur les alentours. Un billard agrémente la fin de journée. Un vrai enchantement.

I had an incredible experience staying at this Airbnb! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The host was extremely responsive and accommodating, making check-in and communication seamless. The location was perfect—close to great restaurants, and attractions.. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like fresh linens, a well-stocked kitchen, and local recommendations. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay!

Hôte très flexible et compréhensif. Nous y étions pour le travail donc, n'avons pas pu profitez des alentours mais, c'est une belle maison bien situé sur le bord de l'eau. Environnement intérieur et extérieur super et très confortable. Bien équipé intérieur comme extérieur. Je recommande pour tous voyageurs que ce soit pour des vacances ou pour le travail.

Caitlin’s place was beautiful. The area is very serene and relaxing. The home had all amenities described and more. I especially appreciated all the amenities that were made with kids in mind. We had more than enough space and entertainment options for everyone without even leaving the house. Nearby there is lots to do within 5-30 min drive. Would be a great walking/running area as well. Just note if you go after Oct. 20 some things in the area start closing for the season and most are closed by the 31st. Caitlin was very responsive, helpful, and considerate. She was quick to message back with recommendations and answer questions. We loved our stay at the Toasted Marshmallow!

We hebben echt genoten van ons verblijf in de bnb van Stephanie en Alan. De omgeving was prachtig en Alan en Stephanie stonden altijd klaar om tips te geven over activiteiten in de omgeving of plekken die we konden bezoeken. Alan en Stephanie waren ook proactief. Toen we bijvoorbeeld vroegen waar ons afval heen moest kwam Alan het afval ophalen. We mochten ook de kano’s gebruiken. Het was echt prachtig op het meer!

I can't say enough how much we loved this home. The owners are super friendly people, and the place is absolutely stunning. The photos of the home itself don't even do it justice, we felt right at home as soon as we entered. Everything was so thoughtfully furnished, and had all the supplies you need for a comfortable stay. I could've spent days just wandering around that property and taking in the views. The lake, the trees, the rock formations -- all of it is so so beautiful. The hot tub and fireplace made for a cozy stay for some chilly October days. As two females traveling, it can be a little daunting staying in somewhat secluded areas. But we felt totally comfortable being there. The owners are located down the hill on the property, but plenty of privacy between the places! And since they're such great people it was nice knowing someone was nearby if we needed anything! We'll for sure be back to this lovely home

A true gem of a place. the location is breath taking with spectacular sunrises and sunsets. it has an authentic cozy cottage atmosphere. There were in the end only four of us so one bath room worked. The Bunkie was a great bonus space. we were here for a week of cycling and the location was central or a variety of loops and also very close to the amazing Cup and Saucer trail.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sharon’s. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It has everything you would need. The view of the lake is beautiful. The sauna is also an extra bonus. The cabins are in close quarters of each other. We had great neighbours during our stay so we didn’t see that as a problem.

Very Cool place to stay! Has everything you need and some… Host is Top Notch and very responsive if needed. I love how it’s got the rustic cabin feel but with a women’s touch and make you feel right at home. This was a work trip so we didn’t get to enjoy everything this place has to offer. Definitely be back when in the area. 5 Stars all day long!!

We had an enjoyable stay at this cottage. Thomas was very helpful and it was an easy check in experience. We spent our evenings on the walkout porch overlooking the lake and listening to the wildlife. The location was secluded, safe and private. It’s a very nice location not too far from Sudbury. Overall, it was an amazing experience and would visit again.

What a beautiful place. This cottage sits on a beautiful waterfront looking over a stunning lake. We really enjoyed our stay with our kids and their grandparents. The water trampoline, kayaks, paddleboard and beach made for lots of fun. The sandy beach and flat lot with convenient fire pit make it easy to watch younger kids. The beds are very comfortable and the hosts were great.

Our family was here for a few days on our road trip. It’s definitely a more rustic cabin. But has amazing views and we definitely enjoyed kayaking and the beach. One thing that I didn’t realize before booking is this house is on land where other family is. We didn’t run into anyone (other than the step dad showing us around when we got there) but I feel it’s worth noting. The beach is on their property too. The house also had a lot of family photos and personal belongings. Which made it almost feel like you were staying in someone’s house. All and all, it was a good stay, just feel like these would be things that people may want to know.

We just got home from a wonderful week stay at Courtney’s place on MacGregor Bay. We can’t say enough great things about this place. Having a whole island to ourselves with a trail to hike, paddle boards to use, and all the amenities of home was exactly what we needed! The off grid living with a warm outdoor shower was a highlight…and the constant breeze off the bay will be missed! Our family of four all slept very comfortably. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and we were pleasantly surprised to find a blender and a salad spinner! 😉 We feel very lucky to have found this gem and hope to return again soon. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Our stay was wonderful! The cabin had everything we needed and more! Rachel was responsive and helpful during communication and a GREAT host! Rachel was very accommodating which allowed for a relaxing stay. The view and cozy cabin allowed for a peaceful getaway! We would definitely stay again!

Beth was a delight. Gave us a great tour when we arrived and offered us coffee in the am. Beautiful property. We only stayed one night but would come back in warmer weather ❤️

Granary Lake Retreat is an amazing vacation spot for families with lots to do, and a easy going atmosphere. The hosts went above and beyond and the landscape is truly breathtaking. We'll be back.

We had never been to this area of Ontario before and always wanted to. Finding this location on the Bay met our requirements for cozy, rugged beautiful surroundings and some fishing. This location is a must visit if you are wanting a peaceful time away. Word of caution, if you are trying to get here on your own an electronic navigation device with charts is a must. I used my phone and the navionics app and we also had a good device on the boat so it was a breeze for us getting in and finding the island even with some misty rain on the way in. Sitting on the west side of the island looking down into west bay at the sunset with a drink was a highlight. Also catching a 20 pound pike was another highlight. Really appreciate this place meeting expectations. Plan on returning next fall for a similar adventure.
