David's place was perfect for our gathering of 7 couples! Lots of extra space to spread-out if needed, even though we mainly hung out in the main room. The river was beautiful, beds were comfortable, the kitchen was thoroughly stocked and it was very clean. The binder of information was the best I've ever seen in a rental. David was great to rent with - he was extremely friendly and supplied a lot of detailed information (I never had to ask a question)! We would totally recommend this place!

A perfect lake house getaway to relax and unwind. The property is tastefully designed end to end sitting tucked in a cove on a beautiful lake with a small walk out island. The remote town of Mesick allowed the ability to get away and escape to enjoy some fun entertainment and much needed R&R. We hope to return and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle the property is set up to offer. The host was kind and responsive.

We stayed for 3 nights with 8 adults and 2 kids and had a great time! Between the yard, kayaks, bonfire pit, the lake and the Lake Michigan beach which is a 5 minute walk away, you never have to leave the house if you don't want to. The house was clean and comfortable - would stay again!

I would highly recommend this location! We had the most beautiful and relaxing stay here. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It was so nice getting to kayak too on the property. The hosts were responsive and so helpful! The best and most peaceful getaway here.

This place was perfect for our trip! With the weather being sunshine, rain and snowing, it provided the amenities to cover alternative activities everyday. Location is perfect if you plan to visit nearby towns off the lake and check out the slopes at Crystal Mountain. Overall was a fun and relaxing place, will definitely look to stay here again.

Tom was a gracious host who answered all of our questions. It is rare that a host is there to show you around and we really appreciated that. The house was perfect for our getaway!

We really enjoyed staying at the cabin for our ice fishing weekend on Portage Lake. The usable wood fireplace was a very nice bonus during a very snowy stay.

This place was awesome. Very peaceful location in a perfectly sized cabin that we continuously appreciated the more time we spent there. The nearby nature surroundings are great and you’re only minutes from the downtown riverfront and other activities. The private section connected to Lake Michigan for sunsets was an added feature. Will definitely stay again.
