Lovely spot , great location with access to the lake, river walk, and easy drive 5 minute drive into Taupo. Well fenced for children and outside bath was a treat. Will be back again next time we visit Taupo

one of my all time favourite holiday stays in the north island, loved sharing it with friends this time. Simple in the best possible old school kiwi bach sense, but with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Wonderfully remote to get away from it all, beautiful scenery and fantastic outdoor space to relax in any weather.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Angela's place. Beautifully presented and ideal layout for 4 adults. The fireplace was fantastic after a very wet day at the racetrack. We walked up to Ploughmans for a casual pub dinner which we all enjoyed and was an easy stroll back down the hill. Would love to stay again.

A great holiday home in a beautiful location. Loads of room inside and out with wonderful views. We had everything we needed for a relaxing few days.

Carolyn’s house is a true gem! the house is spacious, great bathroom and very well stocked kitchen. and the location!!!! the grounds literally touch Lake Taupo, it does not get better!! The communication with Carolyn was very easy, she also responded always very quickly. We had so wonderful days at the house, and can’t recommend it enough

Phil and Leanne were generous and thoughtful hosts. The annex room was private and comfortable and very well equipped. A well considered and unexpected welcome pack was waiting for me and I was offered a drink and to sit with them out on the front deck as soon as I arrived. Despite being close to a busy road the room was quiet, with a lovely garden area outside with table and chairs, and a hot tub which I was free to use. There is a handy separate private entrance to the annex at the side of the house altho trying to roll a heavy bag along the path was not easy. The beach and sea are easily accessible across the quiet road at the front of the house. Leanne even joined me for an early swim on my first morning. Napier is a lovely town with lots to see and do there and in the surrounding area. Phil and Leanne were always ready to offer recommendations and advice. As a solo traveller I enjoyed a relaxing time and was sorry to leave. Would definitely recommend their place

We had a great stay in Taupo. The apartment was just like it appeared in the photos and was well equipped with everything we needed. It was nice and warm with the underfloor heating. We would happily stay here again if back in Taupo - thanks!

Fantastic place, from the apartment, the complex to the staff it's everything and more. The kids enjoyed the space, the pool and games room and we had everything in the apartment we could ask for. We will certainly be back.

We enjoyed our stay with Hieke and Peter. They are very friendly and flexible and made us feel at home immediately. The room was spacious and had a walk in closet with plenty of room for our belongings. Their house is less than a block away to walking paths along the coast. We didn't have a chance to meet Hieke but we enjoyed chatting with Peter about his background, New Zealand life and recommendations for the area. We greatly appreciated the nice breakfast with eggs, use of the hot tub and the washing machine. We would defintely stay here again, given the opportunity!

Clean and tidy apartment, right on the waterfront, ample parking and a 10 minute walk into the hustle and bustle of Taupō. Recommended.

This place really felt like a home away from home. There was everything we needed. The hot tub and pool were much enjoyed. We were able to have a wonderful gathering with overseas family members and visits from our NZ children, plenty of space. We loved the beach. Simon was very friendly and helpful.

We loved this airbnb. The view was breathtaking. Kitchen was well set up and enjoyed the fireplace at night.

Homey place with everything you need. Loved hearing the sounds of the sea and wind breeze in the afternoon. Close to the beach and we love the walk on the dunes going to the beach. Overall happy with Ann’s place.

We absolutely loved the late-century family home right at the beach front. It was extremely peaceful and although the beach wasn’t safe for swimming it wasn’t too far to get to Waipatiki or the Napier town beaches. The views are absolutely stunning - day and night! The home is very specious and flooded with sunlight. Highly recommend to experience it yourself 🤗

We had a wonderful break at Deidre’s place. It was calm, quiet, and incredibly relaxing—exactly what we needed. The beds were very comfortable, and the space was clean, well-presented, and exactly as described. Deidre was a fantastic host: kind, polite, and genuinely attentive. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

This is our favorite spot to stay as location is spot on and the house is amazing. This trip was different though as we had more family members stay with us but they absolutely loved it! We will definitely be back. Thank you having us.

We had an amazing time staying at John's beautiful Airbnb bach in Akitio. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The bach was not only cozy and well-equipped, but it also had the most stunning views of the beach. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect getaway for our family. The space was comfortable and thoughtfully furnished, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. John was an excellent host, providing helpful local tips and making sure we had everything we needed. We can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a peaceful escape in Akitio. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great stay at 5 Mile Bay - what a lovely situation and we loved being right by the lake. The house is very comfortable with a really well equipped kitchen and great beds Altogether a top place to stay
