This was such a sweet stay and we wish we could have stayed longer! Beautiful location - my husband enjoyed fly fishing during the day on the water and I was only 20 minutes from kayaking at the NOC. The house was very clean - tidy bathroom and kitchen with all your basics stocked to get you started. Hot tub was lovely and very clean! There is a steeper drop off next to the outside firepit so I would be mindful with little children. Easy check in and they were very flexible and responsive when we had some crazy weather pop up nearby. We will be back again and hopefully stay a little longer!

The house and location were absolutely beautiful! The pictures really don't do it justice! Everything is prestinely clean and the peacefulness you feel just from walking in can't be matched! The views cannot be captured just as you see them but I did my best to try. We even purchased a couple of fishing poles to do a little fishing right innthe back yard. And when I had a couple of questions for the host, they responded in mere minutes with friendly and clear responses. We will definitely make a repeat visit to this beautiful home. If you've been scrolling for awhile trying to find the right spot, just stop! This is THE place!!!

This home did not disappoint! Absolutely gorgeous! The host were available when needed.Well supplied with everything you need such as dishes, household supplies, shampoos, body wash, conditioners, skin lotion, laundry detergent and softeners. Anything that you need is already there except food and drink. The home is beautiful and serene, the waterfall is absolutely stunning and peaceful. You will not be disappointed at all!!

The place is exactly as described. Very close to WCU and worked out great during move in day. Relaxing place to stay.

I am happy to leave an "A+/5-star" rating...this, from a former professor who knows all about grade inflation. From start to finish, the hosts were welcoming. The accommodation is exactly as described and lovely. What did NOT receive a 5-star rating was the fact that I got caught in the horrific hurricane that blasted through the area. That said, the house was secure with nary a leak and safely above any low-lying area. Even with no electricity or phone for 3 days (luckily the water stayed on and my hosts had left a supply of filtered water), the ability to sit on the front porch, read from various books, and even work a jigsaw puzzle by daylight meant the days went by rather uneventfully. In fact, it was not until I was able to evacuate that I learned of how destructive this storm has been. Thanks to Anna and her sisters for reaching out when they could, and bringing extra water just in case. I hope to return in better times and would be happy to stay here again.

This is a very cute and quiet place right on the river and very welcoming after a long day of hurricane clean up and volunteer work. Check in was very easy with a coded door lock. The entire place is very artsy and inviting. The fireplace was very cozy during the unusual cold spell. This property was well cleaned up but the road leading up still has a long way to go towards being cleared and multiple houses have damage and contents outside of the home. This beautiful area of Marshall was sadly quite damaged by the river surge. This should NOT dissuade anyone from staying here- once you pass that point, Billy’s place is wonderful, clean and you’ll enjoy the sounds of the river and the waterfowl passing by. We were honored to help the residents of WNC and plan to return in the future. We hope to see Marshall return to its former charm one day.

We loved staying here! The house has everything one would need for a relaxing stay. My kids loved fishing from the dock, the legos, and puzzles- so much to do that screens were not even missed!

Great location and very peaceful. Extremely clean and well stocked. We stayed in the winter, so the lake was low, but we knew that going in. Parking and stairs down to the door can be a little trickey, especially at night. As others have said, dont bring a boat to the property but take it to a marina. There is limited ability to turn around. Would certainly stay again.

Awesome private cabin with a great location!

This makes our second time staying at Amanda’s place. It has been such an ideal spot for my family while visiting our kids at WCU. I truly can’t say enough. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful neighborhood look no further! We love it!

Place and the host were amazing! :) Trillium is a special area and this house was special. Jennifer was fantastic and super helpful!

The house was perfect for us. We were very comfortable there. We loved the fireplace and had a fire most nights. The enclosed porch was nice for our small dog that loved sitting out there looking for squirrels!

Such a beautiful cabin! Location is close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The only (somewhat) downfall is the driveway. There are lots of potholes and it is steep. But as far as the cabin, it was wonderful. David was a very good host as well. He responded to everything in a timely manner. 10/10 would recommend!

Great location for a stay in the woods and very close to lake access. Cashiers and Highlands just a short drive away for shopping, dinner dates, and other activities. Jenn’s place is very clean and nice for a family or couples stay.. separate private areas to enjoy. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for dining in. We checked out great waterfalls and got tickets to Highlander Mountain House “Salon Series” so savored some great music after a delicious dinner. Can’t wait to return to Wanderlust soon

We loved our stay at the cabin! It’s a bit closer to other houses than I thought it would be, but we didn’t mind that one bit. The view is beautiful and being able to walk to the lake was amazing. The house itself was spacious and clean, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking at home.

We had an amazing stay at Robert’s home. Everything was perfect in terms of cleanliness and the location itself was very peaceful. Robert was an excellent host and made sure we were taken care of at all times as well. I’d definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking to visit the Cherokee area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Belle Viste! We have stayed in many Airbnb’s, and this is probably the best experience we’ve ever had! This cabin was comfy and homey. The kitchen was stocked with literally everything one could want and need for preparing meals. Beautiful dining area, and the cabin is decorated with such interesting items and beautiful original artwork. The working fireplaces really added to the cozy vibe as well. There were gorgeous views and nature out of every window. Comfy beds and three full baths! Just can’t say enough! Pat was SO communicative and helpful - he checked in to make sure we arrived safely and that everything was as expected (and it was!) He also put two items in the mail which we left behind. A truly accommodating and kind host! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay at Belle Viste during this winter holiday. Now we’re hooked and hope to return this summer. You can’t beat the view! Breathtaking view of the lake to have your morning coffee or evening cocktail while enjoying the sunset. We found Linneas place to be perfect for what we needed, with kayaks for our boys to explore, fishing off the dock and only a short drive to town. The home is beautiful and well equipped for what we needed to enjoy the wonderful week on lake Glenville! Linnea was a pleasure to work with and attentive as well. We can’t wait to go back!

My family really enjoyed our stay here. It was quiet and peaceful, but also conveniently close to town. The lakeside location gave us something pretty to look at each day. We enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony and down by the lake to soak up the view. Thanks!

Pictures does not give the place justice! The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The community is very quiet and peaceful. The only word for this place and the neighborhood is beautiful!

This gorgeous home served as a convenient and comfortable base for our son’s wedding nearby at Nantahala Weddings. The location was ideal, with easy access to the venue, and the views were absolutely beautiful. We loved the views of the lake and mountains from almost every room. The cabin was well-stocked, and Amy communicated well. I would recommend it for those seeking a quiet, convenient option with magnificent views in the area.

Rhonda was very easy to work with. Her charming home was comfortable and well appointed. We had lovely weather which allowed us to walk around the area easily. It was easy to explore both Highlands and Cashiers. The only little issue we had was parking which was easily remedied by parking down the hill in the church lot which my dog loved to run around in. Rhonda had some nice little extras like flash lights and a bear bell. It was a very relaxing vacation.! Highly recommend.

The house was perfect for a large party. We arrived with 5 adults and 6 children. Everyone had a space, and everyone was comfortable. We spent 85% of our time on the screened in porch. It was perfect other than some of the furniture was not exactly comfortable. Everything is there for a large party. The kids especially LOVED all of the stuffed animals in the bunk room. There were toys, games and books for the kids, and I truly appreciated that. The views are stunning! We are already planning our visit next year! Thank you for being a great host. Lauri McKell

We thoroughly enjoyed our last minute stay at The Squirrel’s Nest in Brevard! The house is absolutely spotless and smells amazing! It’s even more beautiful in person than in the photos. Our family will definitely plan to return to this cozy spot. Two minor suggestions of mine are to add table lamps in the living room for better ambiance and consider rearranging the furniture to maximize the outdoor views. These aren’t complaints, just my own two cents. Remind the cleaning crew to dust off the live indoor plant leaves every so often so they will stay alive and healthy.
