HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Wonderful and peaceful studio cottage 15 minutes outside of Shenandoah National Park! The cottage was well furnished (great selection of books and games in the bookcase; cozy bedding and comfortable bed) and well stocked (towels, toiletries, a thoughtful basket of snacks). The pond on the property (along with deck and kayaks) also added to the the serenity. Liam and Paige provided great recommendations (early hike at South River Trail; Exchange Cafe for dinner) and were quick to respond with any questions I had! If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay while visiting Shenandoah -- this is it, hands down!

She was a great host. Went to welcome us & made sure we had everything we needed. She was so sweet! The farm house was beautiful & the views were espectacular. We will be definitely coming back.

What a fantastic place! I stayed with my partner and a couple of friends at Gigi’s farm for my birthday/NYE, and we had a great time—excellent communication with Gigi and Mike, beautiful property, great amenities, and thoughtfulness in every detail. We were extremely thankful for the extra gifts to make our New Year’s celebration memorable. We’ll be back, and we have already shared this listing with others who need a nice escape from DC. Thank you for everything, Gigi!

3 Nights was not enough for our 7 member family. We cooked, grilled, soaked in the hot and best of all had a delightful tour of Barbara's and Mike's Sheep Farm, all fit in around wedding events in Rixeyville. If life wouldn't have been in the way, 2 more days enjoying the massive deck and game room downstairs would have been perfection.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was absolutely beautiful — very clean, well kept, and exactly as pictured. The views were amazing and made the whole trip feel extra special. The host was incredibly responsive and attentive to all of our needs, which made everything so easy and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

This has to be one of the most beautiful places we stayed at . It has such a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. We loved every single thing about the stay including the hammock which was undoubtedly my favourite spot. Our host Alton was the sweetest. He helped us before we got there with clear instructions and was super friendly during our stay. He was extremely helpful when I was feeling a little uneasy one of the days and even helped me with meditations. We would totally recommend his place for a romantic getaway!

This location is amazing! The views are unbelievable, especially the night sky from the hot tub. It is very peaceful, even with it being located next to their brewery. We enjoyed walking to the brewery for the live music, pizza and drinks. The music wasn't overpowering so you could still hold a conversation with your company, and it didn't annoy you if you were at the house. We also enjoyed all of the antique pieces of furniture/structures around the home. One of the days we hiked White Oak Canyon Trail, it was only about 25 minutes away and worth the waterfall views. We would visit this location again!

We had a large group at the compound by the swinging bridge for New Years and it was absolutely ideal! We played games by the fire place, cooked delicious meals, relaxed in the sauna and hot tub, danced and watched movies in the game room, laughed around the fire pits, played frisbee in the lawn, and watched an incredible double rainbow over the river after a thunderstorm. The beds were very comfortable and the vibe was cozy and lived in. Taki was great to communicate with and we’re very thankful to him and his family for creating such a sanctuary. We definitely hope to return!
