Greg and Nicole were awesome hosts. They were very proactice and communicative. The house was well stocked with everything a guest might need, well beyond the essentials, which was very much appreciated. Our 3 kids loved the house and everything that was there just for kids (toys and books, nightlights, sound machine, etc.) They are already asking to go back, and we very well may book with Greg and Nicole again in the future.

Lisa was a very good host and responded to my messages in a reasonable amount of time. The house was nicely decorated and spacious for our group (5 people). The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. The location actually turned out to be better than originally thought for what we wanted to see and do. We were basically 10-15 minutes away from downtown Charlottesville, wineries, and Monticello. We had a great time and plan to come back.

My family and I had a wonderful time. Peaceful, beautiful setting, spacious home. The games in the basement were a hit with everyone in the family and the lake offered lots of activities. Lake Anna State Park with hiking, a beach, and playground is just minutes away.

Everything was great! Very relaxing, private in the country. Everything you needed was within 15-30 minutes away. Very close to the mountains for hikes, historic areas and the Virginia Scenic Railway train ride in Staunton, Va. The train was an hour drive, but you see a lot of the area either by back country roads or interstate. Host had lots of pamphlets, books and other information for your stay, good if you have never been to the area. Enjoyed the Shenandoah area again.

We had a fantastic family vacation at Matt’s house. The space is beautiful — there are amazing views from every window and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy the home. The kitchen was well stocked and we had fun cooking elaborate meals. There were so many fun activities at the house — from the hot tub to shuffleboard — but there are also lots of great outings within easy driving distance. Matt was an incredibly responsive host who quickly answered any question we had. This was one of our best Airbnb experiences ever and we can’t wait to return!

We had a great time here! The place is within walking distance to the lake for fishing and other activities. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and use of streaming services on the TV!

We spent a lovely weekend at Andrew's place at Lake Anna. The space was exactly as described and Andrew was really understanding of our delayed arrival due to traffic and weather. We picked his place because we were traveling off season and knew that we wanted to be near the lake but probably wouldn't be spending much time in the lake. We spent a lot of time walking around the peaceful neighborhood and made a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed the smores' kit that he left us. We cooked most of our meals in the well stocked kitchen and even spent some time on the porch when the weather cleared up.

This property is great. The house is comfortable, clean and even more appealing IRL than in photos. We spent most of our time on the dock fishing or out in the kayaks exploring the lake. There are sunfish, bass and catfish in abundance right off the dock. We also enjoyed watching osprey, Bald Eagles and Great Blue Herons catching fish right beside us. The fire pit is wonderful. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for a beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy Lake Anna.

Irene is very responsive and helpful. We spend a great weekend with family and friends! We did kayaking and fishing. Irene provided great advice to us about how to find the best fishing spot. The house is clean and beautiful. The nice patio also includes a gas grill for who wants to BBQ. THIS PLACE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for who want play around water! Definitely will come back.

This was the second stay at Vickie's for me. The location stands out for its peace. natural beauty and charming gardens. Vickie really is a terrific host. She is warm, positive, flexible, and eager to ensure your stay is a good one. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. I'd recommend morning coffee in one of the big, comfortable chairs near the bird feeder!

I felt so blessed to be a part of the White Lotus community for a few days- this place may just become my home away from home!! The White Lotus is close to Shenandoah National Forest and The Skyline Drive, so was I able to take some beautiful hikes within 30 minutes or so of the retreat. I also visited Charlottesville one evening for dinner and enjoyed the staff/vibe at The Whiskey Jar. The White Lotus is very secluded, but there is a Food Lion not far for groceries and some cute towns nearby to explore. I got an amazing massage from Tim during my stay, and highly suggest taking advantage of the services offered by staff and community members. The grounds are definitely worth exploring-- I spent over an hour just walking and taking pics!! Thanks to David, Tim, Keith and Heather for making me feel so at home; I feel healed in new ways after this amazing experience. Now that I've found this magical place, they won't be able to keep me away!

This place was the perfect getaway!

Second stay here and couldn’t love it more!! After we checked out of Ann’s place, we went to another AirBnb (as we had a bunch of family coming into town and needed a bigger place)….it doesn’t even compare!! Ann’s place is always so clean and lovely and this new place is a reminder of how fortunate we are to have found our lovely, CLEAN, escape in the beautiful VA country! Will be back around graduation time! I miss it already!!

What a unique property! We really enjoyed our stay at the White Lotus and would highly recommend it for a quiet getaway. Thanks for having us!

Our stay was very nice. David has a lovely property with a very rustic charm that matches well with the beautiful nature surrounding it. The only negative thing I could say about our stay was that the wifi was a bit spotty. Overall it was an extremly pleasant stay.

Great cabin. Nice warm heater. Great kitchen. Great nature vibes. Right next to a small pond that you can canoe in.

We enjoyed staying at Taby's place, it was very cozy with everything we needed! Taby was quick to respond to any questions that we had, we would love to stay again if we're ever in Virginia.

Cozy stay with my husband and dog for a week. We ventured into Shenandoah park most days and loved how it was about a quick drive to the entrance (we mostly went to the southern district for our hikes). The jacuzzi in the bear cave after a long day of hikes was perfect way to unwind! We had great weather but I could see if there was inclement weather going outside to the bear cave area for washer/dryer could be tough. But overall loved the house and would recommend!

Had a wonderful stay within walking distance to Lake Anna. The house was amazing and perfectly suited for our guests. The home was clean and inviting from the moment we arrived. We would love to come again and stay for a future trip. Highly recommend.

I've stayed at Shannon's a couple of times now and its always a good time for family & friends. 10/10 would recommend everyone!

Accommodations were exactly as described. The surroundings are incredible and the view from the deck is lovely. Marc’s cabin is welcoming, carefully decorated, and fully stocked for a pleasant stay. The upstairs bedroom is a little small but perfectly suitable and the bed it’s really comfortable. Mark was always responsive and very polite. Highly recommended!

A magical overnight stay, for sure! The cottages were cozy, well thought out, and very clean! The “back yard” was like a gorgeous fairy land. We already can’t wait to come back, one night was not enough!
