Good communication with the host and nearby airport fits my requirements. The apartment is too big for two people; it is better to rent for four people :) Thanks for hosting us and being responsive regarding our delayed flight:)

We had a brilliant few days staying at Gerald’s apartment, perfect location for exploring the whole of the island and right on the sea front, would recommend to anyone planning a trip to Madeira! Welcome hamper with breakfast bits and snacks was a lovely touch too. Thanks so much for having us!

My husband and I are in our 60's, we did not hire a car but relied on the buses. The Number two bus is right outside, the number 1 & 3 are down the hill and a bit of a walk, easier for us if we walk a bit of a zig zag- up one block stop for a wee sip and then continue :) the number 4 bus stops about one block down and over a block. We took the bus to Lido and enjoyed the swimming complex with a huge pool, lockers , showers. We enjoyed a few jazz venues, walking along the promenade and roof top views. The apartment was lovely and had a nice cross breeze and a washer/dryer. We would book again. :)

We booked Manny's place for the location, and because we liked the photographs, and we could not have made a better choice. The apartment was all we expected and needed, a real home from home, with a balcony to relax on, and a well-equipped kitchen. As a central location, it is perfect for exploring Funchal. Manny is an excellent host. He and his son greeted us at the flat when we arrived with a gift of traditional Madeira cake, local bananas and a fulltray of coffee pods! He talked us through the various appliances (though there's a handy how-to booklet too) and discussed our plans, giving us various recommendations and advice. He also messaged a couple of times during our stay to check everything was OK, and came to the apartment to say goodbye when it was time to leave. It was reassuring to know he would be there if we needed anything. We would definitely book this apartment again - it suited us beautifully, and you won't find a better host than Manny.

Vila da Eva is een echte aanrader. Het is gelegen in een rustig dorp, iets verder van de toeristische centra. Dit zorgt er wel voor dat je kan genieten in alle rust, wat wij een pluspunt vonden. Het uitzicht vanop het terras en vanuit de woonkamer is werkelijk subliem. Je kijkt uit op de zee en op de heuvels. De communicatie met Eva was heel goed en snel. We konden hierdoor ook iets eerder inchecken dan op de site vermeld. Het huis is piekfijn in orde. Zeer netjes en proper. De keuken is volledig uitgerust. Wij hebben regelmatig zelf gekookt en alles was voor handen. Ah ja... Bar do Russo (op 100m wandelen) is echt wel een aanrader als je een heerlijke sterke poncha tussen de locals wil proeven. Absoluut doen! Kortom: Vila da Eva is een echte aanrader!!!!!!!

Wir haben eine Woche in dieser wunderschönen Wohnung verbracht. Die Lageitten in Camara de Lobos und die Ausstattung waren großartig. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Ganz besonders haben wir die Aussicht aus allen drei Wohnräumen und den Balkon, der eigentlich eine Terrasse ist, genossen. Dieser Ausblick ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos! Der Garagenstellplatz ist super, wir haben es sehr genossen, nach dem Wandern nicht mehr auf die Suche nach einem Parkplatz suchen zu müssen. Camara de Lobos ist ein quirliger Ort mit vielen Restaurants, Bäcker und Supermarkt. Der Kontakt mit Catherine war bestens. Wir konnten früher in die Wohnung, der Self-Check-in hat reibungslos funktioniert. Auch wenn sie nicht Vorort anwesend war, hat sie uns das Gefühl gegeben, stets erreichbar zu sein.

Die Wohnung war perfekt für einen Urlaub in Funchal. Die Wohnung war optimal gelegen und außergewöhnlich sauber.

Wir hatten einen super schönen Aufenthalt in Madeira. Die Lage direkt am Meer ist traumhaft, der Ausblick atemberaubend. Es gibt genügend Parkplätze und sogar einen Aufzug für schweres Gepäck ;) Die Unterkunft war sauber und wie auf den Bildern - ein Traum. Die Kommunikation war auch zu jeder Zeit perfekt! Richtig nett :) Wir haben allerhand Ausflüge unternommen und diese Wohnung als startpunkt war klasse. Jederzeit wieder, und ich bin mir sicher in den nächsten Jahren kommen wir auch immer wieder gerne hier her :)

We stayed at Marco’s apartment with our 1-year-old baby and spent three wonderful weeks there. The accommodation is located in the sunniest part of the island. From the 4th floor, there’s a stunning view of the ocean from both terraces where you can watch the sunset too. The living room is bathed in sunlight all day and overlooks a peaceful park above the plaza. In my opinion, the apartment is even cozier than it appears in the photos and is fully equipped with everything you might need. We cooked and did laundry quite a lot during our stay. There are several restaurants, a hair salon, and a toy shop in the same building as the apartment. Across the street, there’s a greengrocer, and just a few steps away is a shopping mall. The playground is located in park just a block away from the apartment, and at the beginning of the street, there’s a traditional bakery filled with local delicacies. Communication with Marco was very smooth, he’s truly a wonderful host!

Wir waren in diesem wunderschönen Appartement gut aufgehoben. Da Privatunterkunft in einer Siedlung kann tagsüber was los sein, als Tourist ist man aber eh meist unterwegs. Die bis jetzt best ausgestattete Küche die wir mal gesehen haben. Man denkt an alles, dass man wg einer Woche nicht alles selbst einkaufen muss. Geschäft und Restaurant auch zu Fuß erreichbar. Gutes Internet. Hoffentlich sehen wir uns mal wieder!

Isabel’s apartment is centrally located on a quiet street. It’s within short walk to Funchal old town attractions and water front. Restaurants and grocery stores are all nearby. The apartment is gated with a private parking. It is equipped with all household essentials. Isabel greeted us near the building and showed us around inside the apartment. Madeira island is very beautiful. We took two full days on the island for scenic drive and one day walking around central Funchal. We are very happy with our stay and strongly recommend Isabel’s apartment.

Location très agréable, bien équipée et très bien placée dans Santana. Helder et Susana sont des hôtes accueillants et sympathiques. Merci à eux pour leurs conseils. On recommande +++.

Great stay! Betty was very responsive and helpful. We were there with family for a couple weeks and she offered cleaning services and fresh towels several times. The amenities were perfect and we were able to have family dinners without issue. Location was great for walking right downtown, to the market, etc within 10 minutes. House was super clean with great views. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Excellent séjour dans cet appartement très propre et très agréable. Il est rare de trouver une location aussi propre. Le quartier est très calme, et à proximité des commerces. L'emplacement était idéal pour visiter l'île. Vanda est une hôte très réactive, et très gentille. Grand merci à Fatima pour son accueil au milieu de la nuit! On recommande cette location à 100% ! Incredible condo in the heart of Funchal. Very well appointed, top of the line bathrooms, comfortable beds, and the private rooftop terrace was truly breathtaking. The host was very friendly and responsive, in-person check in was a nice touch. Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer, but we will definitely be back!

Le logement de Susana est très bien situé poor visiter Funchal et rayonner ensuite dans toute l’île. Il est très agréable, propre, lumineux, vaste et bien équipé. Le balcon est très agréable et la place de parking est appréciable. Susana est réactive et très disponible pour répondre aux questions. C’est une excellente hôte pour un excellent séjour à Madère. Merci!

We had a great stay at Paula's place. She responded very quickly to messages and welcomed us herself and showed us around. She also gave us a list of various recommendations- both for places to visit and very good restaurants. She also helped us get a good deal for a car rental. The apartment itself was super well equipped. Paula had even left for us beach towels and a fresh bag of coffee which we found a nice gesture. The location is very good, close to cafes, a big supermarket and down the stairs to the beach. Yes it's steep to get there but this is Madeira! There's not much to dislike. Maybe the bed was a bit hard and narrow but we still slept quite well tired after long days. The water in the pool was also rather on a cold side but it didn't stop the kids from swimming every day.

We stayed in Funchal for week while visiting Madeira for the first time. Betty's place is a great hub to base your stay from - walking down town to everything you need: shopping, restaurants, cable car, everything! And there is a great bakery and a delicious Thai restaurant withing two minutes of the apartment. Having a parking spot is great. Betty is super sweet and was very responsive if we had any questions. I wouldn't hesitate to book this lovely apartment again - great stay!

à notre arrivée nous avons été très bien accueilli par Ana. Elle nous a tout expliqué et nous avons même pu arriver un peu en avance dans l'appartement. Elle nous a donné des conseils de visite, de restaurant, et aussi elle nous a indiqué le supermarché le plus proche. Ana a été au top !!! L'appartement est parfait, il y a tout ce qu'il faut même encore plus que ce qu'on avait imaginé. Merci pour tout! Nous avons pu profiter à fond de cette île magnifique . Et Gabriel a passer quasiment toute ses soirées dans la piscine 😄 merci encore de notre part à tous les 3

100% recommend ! Honestly one of the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in… Everything is perfect, you should discover it all by yourself. The host, Sidonia, was very kind and professional. I won’t hesitate to book it again if I come back to the island !
