Wow, we booked this Airbnb quite spontaneously because we needed a weekend retreat away and this delivered! Admittedly, you do need to be prepared that it’s not the easiest place to get to - but we packed light and had plenty of hands to get the groceries brought over. In the end;however, with a bit of planning, it was no issue at all getting there with our toddler and baby. And the location absolutely delivered! It was just what we needed to be in an undisturbed, peaceful setting to unwind from the busyness of everyday life. And the views are amazing!! As disclosed, a few elements of this house aren’t renovated (bathrooms), so if this is ever done then it will help elevate the house as well. I wasn’t aware that it was a two story house - which for us was perfect as we stayed below and my parents stayed above and gave us each some separate living space. I’d absolutely recommend Carmen’s place if you are looking for a true Swiss retreat that’s off the beaten path!

Prachtig uitzicht op Engelberg centrum en de mooie bergen. Knusse ruimte, warm en gezellig. Korte afstand naar centrum en skibus. Comfortabele bedden. Prima keuken. Flexibele aankomsttijd, snel reagerende host. Gehorig als er bovenburen zijn maar die hadden wij maar 1 nacht. Daarna doodse stilte en heel rustig. Wij hebben het heel fijn gehad. Er waren iets te weinig handdoeken aanwezig maar de eigenaar heeft beloofd dat hij er meer zal verstrekken in het vervolg).

Un posto magnifico, la cartolina della Svizzera! Abbiamo passato i giorni di Pasqua in famiglia, ideale per i bambini e per le grandi compagnie! Tutto molto organizzato, un’esperienza fantastica!

This place was perfect for our family. There are two separate entrances so one room is private from the other two. The views are AMAZING. It does require some coordination if you want to go into town as the train only runs about every hour, but we found the surroundings well worth the effort. The hot tub was so nice in the evenings, just plan to start the fire early as it takes a bit to heat up. Also HIGHLY recommend getting farm fresh eggs/milk/butter. It was super reasonable and so convenient to have it dropped at the house. Host were also very communicative which I appreciated. Overall, I would highly recommend this place if you want peace and gorgeous surroundings.

We had a magical week at Thomas’s place. The place was perfect in every way with the most beautiful views of the valley, wonderfully cozy and well appointed space. The sauna was definitely a perk! Thomas was an amazing host, went above and beyond, giving us the friendliest welcome and great recommendations. One of the best hosts we’ve encountered during our years with Airbnb! And Engelberg is a wonderful place, especially for families. The whole town is very child friendly in terms of the restaurants, playgrounds, and accessibility. We spent the whole time at Brunni which was perfect for our toddler in terms of bunny slopes and playgrounds (and a few blue and red runs for us). We took the bus a block from the apartment to the train station, then a quick transfer to a second bus, on the slopes in less than 15 minutes! Brunni has lockers so we stored all our equipment overnight. Hope we can make it back to Engelberg next season and stay at Thomas’s place!

Ich war bereits das 2. Mal in einer Unterkunft von Heinz und war wie beim 1. Mal einfach nur begeistert und glücklich, dort Zeit verbringen zu dürfen. Die Lage ist traumhaft, der Ort total schön und Heinz ein toller Gastgeber (man hat Privatsphäre aber auch Hilfe bei Fragen). Ich werde sicher wiederkommen und freue mich bereits jetzt darauf. Great location near to Engelberg station and Titlis. It was a comfortable stay as the house is pretty big and Hans was helpful during the stay with our requests. Also, amazing views from the apartment which made the stay worth. Overall a good experience with the house and host.

It was a marvellous expierience to witness the serene landacapes and the natural beauty of Switzerland. We were warmly welcomed by the house owner, Theres and had no inconveniences throughout the entire visit. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the beauty of Swiss.

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche auf der Rigi. Das Chalet ist super gelegen, ruhig und mit toller Aussicht, trotzdem ist man schnell im Dorfladen oder am Bahnhof. Sandra ist freundlich und gut erreichbar, sowie überaus hilfsbereit auch bei Sonderwünschen! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Fantastiska atrašanās vieta, kur pavadīt laiku pie paša ezera ar skaistu skatu uz kalniem un ezeru. Labiekārtota piemājas āra teritorija, kur pavadīt laiku, grilla vieta, āra mēbeles pie paša ezera. Praktiski pie pašas mājas sākās pastaigu takas gan kalnos, gan apkārt ezeram. Kā arī tuvu ir kalnu slēpošanas kurorti, ko aktīvi izmantojām. Priekš mums bija ļoti laba lokācija, lai plānotu savus ikdienas mazos ceļojumus uz kalniem vai Šveices pilsētām. Dzīvoklī ir viss nepieciešamais un pat vairāk nekā vajadzīgs. Viss ir tīrs un kārtīgs.

Wir haben eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit in der Nähe von Reiden gesucht. Die Anbindung an Bus- und Bahn ist ideal. Wer die Wohnung tagsüber nicht benötigt, kann hier gut übernachten. Für Verpflegung sorgen viele Restaurants und Geschäfte in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Nous avons passé quelques jours très agréables chez Gina et dans la région de Lucerne. Le logement est parfait pour une famille, l'équipement est complet, rien ne manque pour un bon séjour. Un terrain de sport et de jeux est à proximité et il y a un petit magasin dans le village pour les courses. L'accueil est chaleureux.

Magnifique maison , une vue splendide, endroit calme et apaisant nous avons passé 5 magnifiques jours, merci infiniment à Andria , très aimable accueillante et professionnelle, toujours disponible pour proposer son aide !!nous reviendrons avec plaisir une nouvelle fois en printemps.

We loved Casa Husenfels and thought Carmen was a very helpful and responsive host! The views are unbeatable and it was special to see fireworks across the lake for New Years Eve. I’d also recommend the walk up the hill, which we didn’t discover until our last day - serene and beautiful views.

Unkomplizierte Wohnung, gute Lage. Sehr wertschätzende Kommunikation mit Gastgeber.

Wir hatten einen wunderbare Zeit in der Ferienwohnung. Fabienne und ihr Mann sind sehr nette, unkomplizierte Gastgeber. Sie waren leicht erreichbar und ansprechbar, hilfsbereit und grosszügig. Die Wohnung bietet alles, was man für einen kürzeren oder auch längeren Aufenthalt braucht. Mit Seesicht und umgeben von Gärten ist die Lage sehr schön und ruhig. Wir haben hervorragend geschlafen in dem grossen und wertigen Doppelbett. Ein Highlight für uns war das Dachfenster über dem Bett, durch das man nachts den Sternhimmel sehen konnte. Besonders einladend und originell ist auch der Aussensitzplatz vor dem Eingang zur Wohung, der Nachmittags und Abends Sonne hat. Die Lage im ruhigen Villen- und EFH-Quartier ermöglicht mehrere schöne Spaziergänge oder auch längere Wanderungen direkt vom Haus aus. Mit der S-Bahn und der Schifffahrt auf dem Hallwilersee kommt man leicht in die weitere Umgebung. Zu Fuss erreichbar ist z.B. auch ein Volg, der jeden Tag - auch sonntags - offen ist.

Great little cabin with everything we needed, loved the view, and how quiet it was. Great place to relax mid trip that had a very hectic schedule.
