The property and house were absolutely gorgeous. Even with the rain we had a fabulous time and still used the hot tub. Was the perfect size for the 3 of us. Kitchen had everything we needed and the coffee bar was well stocked! Perfect location for OU’s mom’s weekend with my girls.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. We would return :). Very clean and relaxing. Loved the view. Thank you!

The house was beautiful! Definitely need 4x4 to get back there though! Even with AWD we slid down the last hill before the house because of the snow/ice mixture. We did finally make it and had a wonderful weekend with friends! Beautiful view of the sunrise over the lake and to look out all day at the snow! Would love to make time to come back in the summer months!

We had a wonderful stay and have nothing but good things to say. The drive to Hocking Hills State Park was an easy 20 minutes. There is a Walmart not too far away for forgotten items. The house itself was great. The kids loved sharing a bunk room with cousins and the hot tub. It had everythinf we needed. Jacob was very responsive and helpful. Hocking Hills is a beautiful area and if we make it back, we would totally stay here again.

Spacious, peaceful setting for a family gathering. Clean and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen. Close to Old Man’s Cave and the wonderful beauty of the State Park. We would enjoy returning to this property again.

Stayed here two years in a row for OU mom’s weekend! Perfect space for kids to hang in basement, while moms can sleep in bedrooms. Outdoor space looks so inviting, but it’s been too cold for us to enjoy it. If you’re looking for a place to host your daughter & her friends- this is it!! It’s not on campus, but that’s also what our girls wanted- to get away! Just a short drive to campus (15 min) though if needed!

Brookside cottage was a magical experience in terms of its location. The creek the water running the woods. It’s just spectacular. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was clean. You had everything that you needed. Location was quite peaceful. It was everything that we wanted. I spent a mom’s weekend there with my daughter from Ohio University, and we also enjoyed the hot tub despite the rain.

We had a great time at the house. It was very modern and well equipped. We enjoyed the house, hot tub, and fire pit. We would definately be willing to come back again.

We came for a relaxing week and that’s exactly what we got! Very private and just so fun to be at especially with kids. We were beyond grateful to bring pets as well.

We picked this cabin because we were looking for a rental that offered a sauna. Everything on the property was clean and in operating order (including the sauna :-) ) The arrival instructions were very helpful. The cell phone service was sketchy, and the tip to screenshot the door code was very helpful. Brian also shared some common feedback about finding the drive to the cabins, and that was helpful. We did message about one thing - it had stormed in the area prior to our arrival, and we did ask if there were any issues as a result of the storms. I did not get a response until after we checked out. There were no issues. Airbnb strongly recommends you communicate with hosts only through the app, and that is how we messaged. Brian did include other contact information, and maybe that would have yielded a quicker response. We were following the Arrbnb guidelines. The pre-arrival communication and tips were very helpful, so I will give credit for that, and it is well deserved.

We had the pleasure of staying in this incredible Villa last weekend. The Villa was one of the cleanest and nicest we have ever stayed in. The hot tub was very clean and the private fire pit area was perfect for the cool nights. It is also very convenient to all of the hikes that Hocking Hills State Park has to offer. We would highly recommend staying here or any of the other villas the Hugga in the Hills has to offer!

Such a wonderful place to stay. Will definitely come back. Everything was smooth and the place was amazing.

A wonderful experience in what really felt like a premium property. All of our guests were extremely comfortable and enjoyed the property. Lots of gathering spaces.

Our stay at Shu’s place exceeded my expectations. We have a family of 7 with a Goldendoodle. Sometimes it is hard to please the entire group when booking. The house was spotless inside with great appliances. We were able to move flawlessly from inside modern features (pool table, movie room, air hockey, multiple TV’s, gaming systems, board games) directly outside to a feeling of solitude. Beautiful lake views sitting in the hot tub, kids making smores at the camp fire, and some family members fishing from the dock at the same time. We went to visit my daughter at Ohio University and to see Hocking Hills. It was the perfect location between the two. Easy 5 min trips to Walmart for anything forgotten. Bait shop 2 min away from the property. A cool coffee shop out of an airstream 2 min away. It was special to feel so alone in nature but be so close to anything that we needed. To top it all off, schedules changed and Shu was able to provide us with a late checkout. GREAT LAUNDRY as well!

When I searched for a place close to Hocking Hills State Park, this was right in the middle of it all! It was a beautiful place and super clean. The hot tub was a nice addition after the days of hiking! I would 100% stay here again!

Our cabin was nestled in the back, with plenty of privacy and the back porch looked out into the woods! My favorite part of the stay was the hot tub and the bathroom as it had a beautiful view into the woods.

Perfect cabin for a weekend get away with the girls! It was a short drive to Hocking Hills for some hiking and we enjoyed our time around the campfire making s’mores! We would love to visit again real soon!!

We really loved this place! We were looking for something outside of cities just as a getaway spot as we were going to the Mothman Festival, and we couldn't stop talking about how much we loved it there. Ruth and her husband were incredibly kind and responsive to things, despite having almost no issues (only thing was a dead door battery but that's not their fault.) Highly recommend, and we plan to be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin, it’s very clean and cozy. The location is not far from hiking trails, restaurants, and coffee shops!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the stayed at this cozy cabin last night before heading home from school for the summer. It was everything we hoped for and more! The place was spotless, had very organized institutions, and a beautiful ambiance. Lori even provided complementary waters, coffee, and chocolates. The place comes with everything one would need for a stay in hocking hills: A scenic fireplace, a hot tub, and a grill on the patio. We were disappointed that we were only able to stay one night, but will definitely be revisiting when we’re back in the area!

Me and the hubby stayed for two nights for our 10th anniversary weekend and it was amazing. Peaceful, quiet, clean, and a great place to unplug and unwind but still close to town for necessities and restaurants and close to Hocking Hills for all the nature hikes you could want. The bed was comfortable, even for someone like me who has sciatica and has to be picky about it. I spent most of my time on the porch swing drinking coffee/hot chocolate (I totally need one of those in my life) and the hot tub. Dave and Carol were so nice and super helpful, and answered every question I had even when I was annoying lol. We would definitely stay again.

it's a good little cabin. worth noting it is not as tucked away into the property as the pictures make it look and there is another larger cabin right down the road. The cabin itself is Hella cute, the hot tub is super nice, and the coffee maker is a Keurig.
