Welcome to the Southwest Waterfront community of Washington, DC, located near Capitol Hill and the nation's major historic memorials and landmarks. We're excited to have you as our guest and hope you enjoy your stay. Recent and ongoing development has created a vibrant and hip community that offers a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities without having to venture very far, including: Dining -- A plethora of cafes, bars, and restaurants, including a waterfront winery (District Winery) featuring wine tastings, a restaurant and private event spaces. Shopping -- Clothing, gifts and books are among the wares you will find at shops at The Wharf. Sports -- The Nationals Baseball Stadium, and Audi Field, home to DC United soccer team with games throughout the season. Music -- The Anthem hosts top talent concerts throughout the year. Theater -- Arena Stage presents original and touring live stage performances in three intimate auditoriums. Ice Skating -- Canal Park Ice Rink at The Yards Park and the Wharf Ice Rink are open in season (November-February/March). The proximity of this neighborhood to major tourist attractions such as the Capitol, Smithsonian museums, the Monument, Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials and all of the major historic landmarks makes it easy to see and do a lot during your visit.
