Very nice place and very clean. The host was very responsive to anything we needed. Just something you might want to prepare for is the checkout is at 9AM on the day you are supposed to leave and you can have the option to check out later but you have to pay an extra 30 dollars. If you’re not planning on leaving that early please be advised to check with the host to pay the extra and get it approved.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Plenty of room for the family and a big back yard:)

RheAnna was the BEST host. Reaponded within a few seconds. House is in a beautiful location and peaceful surroundings. We saw an otter, deer, white cranes, and cardinals. The house is spacious and accommodating. Our older boys caught some fish and had a blast. pellet grill was easy to use. Our dachshund loved the stay too :) Thank you RheAnna for your house and your gratitude.

The place worked very well for our needs. I was traveling with my mom who is in a wheelchair and the place was open enough to make it easy for her to move around

Chase addressed all my questions in a prompt and timely manner. Check-in and check-out were hassle-free. The house is situated in a quiet area, away from city life, yet just minutes away from Athens or Madison. The backyard was perfect for unwinding on the porch, and my dogs enjoyed abundant space to run and play. I would undoubtedly stay here again.

Exactly as advertised, we will be back for our next trip. Great host and location.

The home was beautiful and spacious! We ended up booking additional days while we were there. The water view is lovely, especially at sunset. The area is nice as well, great neighborhood. The home had all the amenities we could possibly need during our stay. Definitely going to stay there again!

enjoyed our week of paradise at the River House! listening to the birds and seeing deer on our early morning drives to our disc dog competition were just some of the highlights! spotlessly clean! very comfortable and well supplied with everything! very nice snack gift bag was a welcomed and enjoyed by the 2 and 4 legged creatures! the views from the River House where amazing!!!

If I could give this home 100* I would. We wanted for nothing. The kitchen had every pot, pan, mixing bowl, casserole dish, cutting board, etc. that you could possibly need to use including a toaster and Keurig-complete with coffee pods, cream, etc. The beds were extremely comfortable with excellent pillows. Washer and dryer were top of the line and had detergent pods, fabric softener and scent beads!!!! The bathrooms were fully stocked with all amenities. The house was superbly clean...even had several throw blankets which I love. So comfortable and felt like home. Brad was a gracious host, easy to communicate with from the get go and was quick to respond during our stay. Will not think twice about booking again if we are ever in the area. Oh and sidenote, nice area as well--my adult son went for a walk a couple morning and said there was a small walking area/park around the corner.

The home was exactly as shown and expected. Super clean and comfortable. Would have preferred another blanket for the bed, but we just bumped the heater up a little and all was fine. The location was very central to everything we were doing so that was nice. The neighborhood was quiet and tidy. Overall we were happy with our stay!

Sammy & Grace’s home was conveniently close to marina for fishing tournament. We had a nice family trip with plenty of space, beds, tvs, and games. We enjoyed the kitchen area that allowed us to all help prepare meals and visit. Questions were quickly answered about coffee pot and fridge. We had everything needed to make our stay a family vacation including our big furbaby! We would definitely stay again if ever back in the Decatur area.

This home was a dream come true in a location that was safe and peaceful. I 💯 recommend this place. I look forward to next time. Thanks Sammy and Grace for being such wonderful hosts.

This was a nice place to stay as it was close to the Wheeler National Bird Refuge. It is in a neighborhood, off a service road but we had no problems driving in or parking. It is a two person bungalow furnished with everything we needed. I would book again!

Was worth every penny. Very nice quiet place to relax.

We were very pleased with Sammy and Grace's vacation home. It was a great place to meet up with our daughter and her family. We so much appreciated having a secure fenced place for our service dog to go outside without worry. The game room was helpful in entertaining our guests. The kitchen and family room combo area is large and very accommodating for playing games and eating our meals together. If there was one minor drawback, our son who does not have an oversized wheelchair had some struggle with the width of the bedroom doors. The one in the gameroom is the larger door, but then we did have to lift him down the 4 or 5 steps to get him there. Thank goodness we did have some strong grandsons.

Stephanie was a fabulous host! We had an issue with the internet going out and she was super responsive and spent time on the phone with the provider to remedy it for us by the following day. The house was lovely and the yard was very secure for my tiny dogs. Neighborhood felt safe and I was comfortable walking around. It's about 10 minutes to any stores or restaurants, but easy drives to everything.
