From the decking it's exhilarating watching the birds & boats as you are more or less right above the water's edge. My renovated cottage within 2 miles of town of Stornoway, situated in a crofting community. In my croft I have Hebridean sheep and hens. Clachanach Beag has panoramic views over the town, out into the Minch and the hills of the mainland. It is a cosy base to return to after a day exploring. The cottage is suitable for couples, solo adventurers, cyclists, business travelers, and their furry friends (well behaved pets welcome).

Tigh A'Mhuillin (The Mill House) is a lovely detached home close to picturesque coastal villages (5 miles from Shieldaig and 17 miles from Applecross), with shops and pubs. Fabulous hill walking and climbing in the Torridon mountains, mountain biking on tracks and quiet roads, fishing, and sea trips to explore this beautiful part of the Highlands. For the less energetic, just sit, relax and watch the ever-changing scenery.
