We stayed at Ian's for 6 nights & we found the house clean & comfortable. The beds were really comfortable & the area was quiet. It was lovely having the garden especially as the weather was dry & sunny. We now live in Scotland & travelled down south to visit friends & family & as we know the area reasonably well this location was ideal. Ian was available if we had any queries & he was a great host

This was my first booking with Airbnb so I didnt really know what to expect but Mel has certainly set the standard. She is a friendly, helpful, honest, and incredibly responsive host. The house was exactly as described and the quiet location was perfect for us. We'll definitely stay again when we return to Mersea Island, which was beautiful too!

A lovely caravan in a beautifully quiet location with a great view, but on a park which offers lots of activities and facilities. Really comfortable beds. Ideal for couples as 3 doubles. Sharon always replied quickly when I messaged and was helpful. I’m sure we will be back in the future.

David & Karen are great hosts. Their house & garden were beautiful & kitted out with practically everything you would need. We will most definitely be using their services again when we next go back to the UK. Thank you both! X

We had a lovely few days in Mersea Island. We were very impressed as soon as we arrived as Emma had left chocolate treats, jams, cereal , bread,milk,orange juice and even treats for our puppy! The caravan was pristine and decorated in a lovely way. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we could have needed (oil,salt,pepper etc...). We brought a lot of supplies with us,but didn’t need to as Emma had provided so many things! The area was extremely peaceful. We could hear birds tweeting in the morning, that's about it. Our puppy loved her first holiday there. The beach is a 3 minutes walk, and the children were fascinated by the tides which completely changed the outlook of the beach depending on the time. We had fish and chips, and pizza, from two great places in town (we ordered online and picked up, a 4 minutes drive). There's a little shop on site but there really isn't much at all. Emma and her partner were extremely responsive and came over to sort out a slight issue .

Tranquil setting and beautifully decorated. I absolutely loved my stay. I can't wait to book again and will do everytime I come back to the area. The roll top bath was a dream, lots of bubbles,French music playing while reading my book=my kind of heaven.

Love Old Leigh. Needed somewhere while visiting family locally and where better. Somehow managed to never see the tide in. Parking was good considering how busy the area is.

Lovely place to stay whilst working in the area

What an incredible place!! There was lots of really interesting information available about the location - the only national reserve where you can stay the night! The hut was very cosy, and the fireplace kept us very warm. It was quite easy to use the kitchen, just keep your meals simple. We were treated kindly and inclusively. I would recommend this to anyone!

Sara's house was immaculate and beautifully furnished. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, and the bathroom very clean. It was a convenient location for us to stay while visiting my daughter at the university, just 5 minutes drive from the centre of Southend. There are shops and cafes etc just around the corner too. The only thing I hadn't realised was the fact the bathroom is downstairs just off the kitchen which wasn't ideal for my mum doing midnight trips to the loo! But we managed. We also hadn't realised about the security payment but that's my own fault for not reading the House Rules on the advert. Sara was very communicative and helpful around this. All in all, a highly recommended house.

Place was fit for our purpose, no complaints.

Stay was Good, But Need to improve some things Mainly Guest supply’s.The Tv needs to change I think have some issues. Also Bathroom shower head was leaking wasting water .One of the chair leg was broken.WC cover lid was loose not comfortable while using.
