We were planning a family wedding in White Stone.Maria provided recommendations for a fabulous local chef, was extremely responsive to communications, and was very proactive with guidance. If you are a morning person the sunrises from this property are amazing. We rented the whole house which provided 4 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, and a bonus heated game room in the garage.

Our stay at this charming cottage was absolute perfection. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning views— picturesque and ever-changing, perfect for bird watching and just soaking in nature's beauty. The setting is incredibly peaceful and private, making it the ideal escape from the hustle of everyday life. The cottage itself is full of character and warmth, thoughtfully maintained and beautifully cozy. Marjorie has some of her gorgeous paintings decorating the space, as well. Parke and Marjorie truly have a piece of paradise to share with you, if you’re looking for the ultimate in relaxation. Delightful people to meet, and we so hope to stay again one day. We have stayed at Darrell’s place a number of times and we love it! We love it so much we will be going back! Not only is Darrell a great host, but his home and the setting are both so special. Our kids love it and we love it. This is a unique experience not to be missed.

Really enjoyed the Farmhouse in Whitestone. A short drive into the town for food and things with friendly business owners. The property was very spacious and private with great views and lots of wild life. We saw Blue Herrons, woodpeckers, and Osprey diving for food among the rabbits passing by peacefully in the yard. We had many walks on the beach and the kids loved it. The house was also very clean and inviting.

My wife and I have stayed at The Fish House several times. It is a wonderful respite from our urban home life. A great place to relax and appreciate the Northern Neck lifestyle. We love it here!

Lovely place! The kayaks and SUP were in great shape and we enjoyed time on the water. The kids set crab pots and fished.There was lots of space to eat meals together and to have quiet time alone. Pretty decor and beautiful views of the river. It was a short stay for us or we would have tried some of the restaurant recommendations.

This home is a great place to stay! It is completely furnished with everything you need. The kitchen is completely stocked with any seasonings or coffee accessories you need. The home is wonderfully functional for larger families and kids, --lots of nooks and spaces to hang out and enjoy your vacation. My boys and I chose this rental for the kayaking, and we were not disappointed. The equipment was ready to go, and the home has it's own private slip into a beautiful calm river. This is a great home for families and friends to relax, get some time on the water, and spend time with each other. Great value.

Our multi-generational family loved our two weeks at Big Bay. The house is well-appointed and comfortable, and the beach, which you can see from the living room, dining room, and kitchen, is stunning. Water toys (paddle boards, floats, PFDs, chairs, etc.) are available in the garage under the house. There have been updates to the deck since the photos were taken - the side deck on the left of the house when you’re looking from the water is covered and screened with a table and the aforementioned outdoor kitchen. It’s a great place to enjoy the nice weather and catch the breeze without having to worry about the sun. Just in front of the screened-in area is a large, comfortable couch. Susan let us know before we arrived that a couple of the burners on the grill in the outdoor kitchen weren’t working & provided us a different grill from one of her other properties to use instead. We really appreciated that she was proactive and it was a great solution for our needs. We hope to return!

The cottage was as described and then some! The pictures showed a good sample of the property. The host was very welcoming and pleasant to chat with. There was a binder inside with recommendations for sights and places to see. We were able to enjoy the sunset off the pier while swimming in the water. The natural beauty and tranquility of the land made the stay so worthwhile.
