We had enjoyed staying here! Our dogs love the house and backyard such a great space for fury friends! We definitely will be coming back here to stay!

We visited for the total solar eclipse as the property was in the path of totality. The property was exactly as described. The "master suite" part of the property was nice having its own entrance/exit from the other two bedrooms. We took my sister and two nephews with us. Our 4-year old nephew loved having his own big room and bathroom. A pack and play was provided for the youngest nephew - which was appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked and the washer/dryer was a nice addition. The swimming pool was also nice. There is an outdoor area to BBQ, however, its a community item so if someone else was using it you were unable. We changed our menu plans so it wouldn't be an issue for us. The river walk was also nice for our dogs. The property is kept up very nice, the landscaping is beautiful and the doggy stations along the perimeter are appreciated. We would definitely visit here again.

Wonderful place, great location, we loved the setting and would definitely come back again when in the area. Hosts were very nice and respectful as well as responsive to questions. We got this for a little weekend away. We had a great time swimming, kayaking, fishing, making s’mores over the fire pit, and just spending time together. It was a beautiful house on beautiful property. It was absolutely worth it.

We traveled to Waco for an academic trip with a group of college students. We had plenty of space to spread out, everyone had their own beds and plenty of bathrooms. We enjoyed grilling out and loved the beautiful outdoors. The night sky was gorgeous, and even though we were 20 minutes from Baylor, it was an easy drive and well worth the space and quiet serene country air. Thanks for a great stay!

My husband, daughter, son-in-law, and myself met there to go to a wedding at a nearby venue and stayed 2 nights. This was the perfect location since we were coming from east Texas and our daughter and son-in-law were coming from the Austin area. Beautiful views and very clean home. The pool was very enjoyable, too. Everything we needed was there. Would definitely recommend this place. We only had 4 people, but the home can accommodate plenty more. Thank you, Jessica. You have a beautiful property.

great little place to stay that is well worth the noney

We loved our stay! What a beautiful lake house. So peaceful and enjoyable. The bed was so COMFORTABLE! Great place, we would definitely stay here again!

Love it. Beautifully restored 19th century home (marvelous design layout). It was like going back in time to the 1890's, but with modern ammenities. Awesome Czech bakeries nearby and the small restaraurants in town, and next door, were very welcoming and had great service. Very convenient to Waco, just the right distance away. It was a wonderful weekend of family reunion and activies, plus we didn't miss any basketball games with the big TV in the sitting room! We are already planning our get together there again next year.

We enjoyed our weekend at the Cabin in the Woods. It was very cozy and private. The surrounding trees are gorgeous and the weather was perfect for dining on the patio. All the furniture is very comfortable from the couch to the bed. Brandi was an excellent host!

The house was exactly as advertised and even better. Erika was always very friendly and nice throughout our stay. The house is located in a beautiful area with great nature views. We only ran into an issue with the heater not working during our stay, but Erika and her husband tried to resolve the issue. Other than that our stay was perfect, we hope that we can return.

We had a great stay at the Main House at Country Woods Inn! The location was perfect for our family New Year's vacation, just 15 minutes from Dinosaur Valley State Park and Fossil Rim. We loved all the amenities on the property: fishing, petting zoo, small library, tether ball, see saw and campfire. We were able to walk to the river to fish and look for tadpoles at Big Rocks park. We loved having pizza a the large farmhouse table which easily sat our group of 11. The 5 kids enjoyed the loft and each of the three couples were comfortable in the downstairs bedrooms. The house was cozy and quaint. Helen was incredibly responsive as we prepared for the trip and while we were there. I texted her about s'more sticks and she knew exactly where I could find them. We loved having s'mores at the campfire! One of our favorite parts was petting rabbits and watching Lily the goat jump the fence. We definitely will tell our friends in Dallas to check out Country Woods Inn!

Overall, Dawn was very responsive when I had a question or wanted to communicate with her. I did read a review in which there were cobwebs throughout the house and unfortunately that still holds true especially in the bathrooms, however it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The home looks newly remodeled and had great amenities. There were 2 single kayaks which were great to explore the lake. I would definitely consider staying here again!

I had a wonderful stay at Ginger's beautiful home in Glen Rose! The house is perfectly situated right on the riverbed, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. We had the most wonderful stay at this charming Christmas cottage! From the moment we walked in, we (including my teenage and adult children) were blown away by the attention to detail in the décor—every corner was thoughtfully decorated with beautiful holiday touches that made the entire space feel cozy, festive, and welcoming. The cottage itself was impeccably clean, and had all the comforts of home with a few bonuses! The host was exceptional—communication was clear, timely, and thoughtful. They provided us with everything we needed and more…the popcorn machine, hot cocoa bar and the extra yummy surprise was above and beyond our expectations. We felt truly cared for throughout our stay. If you're looking for a magical, cozy retreat any time of year, this place is a must-visit. We can’t wait to come back!

It was a great stay- very comfortable. Some homes in the area were a bit beat down but that has nothing to do with this BnB. Safe. Comfortable. Clean. Enjoyable.

The house is wonderful! The house is super clean, had everything you could need. The out door area is fantastic too! Lots of sitting areas a stunning view of the lake. Fairly easy to get down to the lake. The kids loved playing down by the water! We will definitely be back!
