If you like quiet peaceful place with great views this is the place. A short easy drive to town for groceries or dinner. Great hikes nearby come home have beverage on the porch and watch the sun set with the sheep and horses (Mickey and Ringo)

We had an amazing time at Helen's place for my 40th birthday. We just wish we could have stayed longer! Our toddler loved spending time with the alpacas, rabbits and horses and there was plenty of space for him to roam around in. We had a lovely BBQ in beautiful sunshine and surrounds. We definitely want to return! Thank you so much!

Very well maintained place and lots of room

Cannot recommend Helen's place enough! Such a beautiful stay. Waking up to the horses in the distance was a dream. Helen provided treats to offer the animals if desired. We were welcomed with warm bread. Had a lovely ride with the horses, and couldn't get enough of Kai (the dog) and the beautiful rooster that roamed around. Quick drive into town. Wonderful to have your own peaceful retreat!

Cool place! it's 2 separate , locking rooms . Each with it's own bath that share a large common area . This was perfect for 2 couples traveling together. The hosts were so friendly and responsive . Comfy place nearby town .

This house was even better than the photos. Was meticulous/spotless. Has everything you could need and great value for money. I can normally find fault with anything, but couldn’t at this place…I even checked under couch squabs for crumbs, but perfectly clean. Very well thought out and friendly responses to all communication.

We had a wonderful stay at the Silver Birch Cottage in Te Anau. Shona is a great communicator so we knew well ahead of time how to check-in etc, so everything ran very smoothly A very clean and comfortable house, which is walking distance to the main street of Te Anau and Lake. We enjoyed our time in a very beautiful part of the country - Fiordland is a gem

We had a ball. Kerri was great with instructions and was on hand immediately to help. We didn’t meet her legend husband he was over at the pub… lad! We heard them singing in the pub and wanted to join but it was so dark we were wondering if we would be okay getting there. We woke up early for sunrise and it was so refreshing to go out and see the beauty surrounding the cabin shack lodge. We would return and we recommend and next time we’ll check out the holy pub.

The homestead is beautiful. It’s like a time travel to the 70’s until 90’s. It reminded me of my grandparents house. The space is huge every thing is very well mantained and it has a beautiful sun coming in the afternoon. The whole precinct has a big garden and a lot of curious things to appreciate. Host was very kind and helpful. Very good breakfast provision for one to cook.

The Duck Pond Cottage is a wonderful mixture of rural and rustic and modern. It has everything we needed and we loved how it felt to live there. Dot was delightful and always ready to help but never intrusive. A great experience and great value! The fact that we stayed here two years ago and came back this year should tell you all you need to know.

Hidden place but very good for a family stay and very cozy living room, only negative is that the wifi signal was a bit bad any place further than the kitchen and living room no wifi. But the location is great to go to milford sounds and te anau was very nice.

The most beautiful and magical cottage! It was beyond our expectations, our young children loved it. We saw so many native birds just in the garden, lovely walks and just such a beautiful place to reconnect as a family. A lovely three-bedroom home in a quiet peaceful neighborhood. Very comfortable, clean, nicely furnished and so tastefully decorated and delightful that we felt right at home upon entering. Nice covered deck and lovely private garden. Hosts were very responsive. Would stay again if in the Te Anau area.

Julie's place us spacious with two large bedrooms and full kitchen at a convenientlocation in town. it's very clean and comfortable. She was most helpful and responsive. I fully enjoyed it and highly recommend it!

Fabulous property with a retro, warm feel. We had the best 2 nights, enjoying crisp autumn mornings with views to the mountains from the living room and deck. The underfloor heating in the bathroom ensured total comfort. Sunny and glorious, would love to stay again, thanks Margie.

Very clean, quiet, and comfortable place to stay. The outlook was beautiful—mountains right outside the window made it feel extra special. Everything was well organised for a hassle-free visit. Check-in and check-out were simple, and the space had everything needed for a smooth, relaxing stay. Would definitely book again!

Great stay for the two of us and primo location! Underfloor heating was a nice bonus in the cold weather, as was the lovely bath. Kitchen was reasonably well equipped meaning we could cook, which was great!
