What an amazing gem! Tucked away, but with plenty of amenities that you would fine at a modern, big-city hotel. Great family space, with privacy, but also big family spaces. A perfect fit for our family team in town for a race. We will be back!

I stayed at Kari’s place with my husband and three kids. We all had enough place to sleep, and to spend time together. The cabin had everything we needed and more. The coffee and the basket with snacks were appreciated. The entire place was well cleaned and modern. We all enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. The kids really liked the game room.

We loved our stay here! Our family of 16 was very comfortable and we loved being on the lake, having the hot tub, and a full kitchen to cook in. We would definitely recommend this place. Ryan and Teresa were very easy to communicate with and quickly responded to all my requests.

Great place to stay for a relaxing weekend! Owner was very responsive and set the cabin up with everything we needed! It was quiet and peaceful, we saw lots of deer while enjoying the hot tub. There is wood for sale to use in the fireplace. The cabin is near many snowmobile trails.

Booked this beautiful, secluded cabin for a couple friends and I for my birthday weekend. Thank you for helping make it one of the best birthdays I have had.

I almost didn’t want to give a review. Then I thought about lying and giving a bad review because I want to make sure this cabin does not get too popular!! But in the end, I couldn’t do it and just have to tell everybody how amazing this cabin is! It was absolutely perfect, quiet and secluded, but only 30 minutes away from Marquette. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, and the sauna was an absolute delight.

I definitely really enjoyed my time at the river retreat, Renée had given me a warning telling me that the road was going to be a little rough getting to it. She definitely was not wrong at all was very muddy. Almost got stuck, but once we finally got to the cabin, it was absolutely fantastic. With a beautiful wide river, tons of wildlife and absolute peace. Once we got inside of the cabin, it was super nice and laid out. It was very nice of her to even leave us a card and some chocolates. I would definitely return again.

I hate to leave a positive review because we want this place all to ourselves. The location is amazing to see anything and everything we wanted and more. Quite area right on the Keweenaw Bay, amazing sunrises every morning along with deer greeting you! The fenced in yard gave us time to relax as we didn't have to worry about our dogs every move.

Great stay at a cabin close to MTU. Cabin was clean, easy to find and just a short dive to numerous restaurants. This was our second visit and cabin did not disappoint.

We were very grateful for the well stocked utensils in the kitchen, we were able to make a full Easter dinner for 7, it was wonderful! Comfortable and ample seating for our family gathering. Very comfortable beds and pillows, everyone enjoyed them! Beautiful propertyin a secluded area south a pond and sauna. We had a wonderful time! Space heaters in every room were very helpful the first night we had trouble figuring out the heat. And overall, it was a great place, the host is incredibly responsive and helpful!

Great location in the upper peninsula. the house is situated on a beautiful lake in the woods. It is equipped with all the comforts of home and well suited for large groups. Jessamine is extremely quick, friendly, and help when responding to messages. We loved our long weekend stay and would highly recommend this house to anyone.

Such an amazing place.. my husband, son and I stayed here last summer while I was pregnant with my daughter. We just finished up our second trip, this time our daughter was 7 months old and her & my son had an absolute blast. It is so relaxing for parents, and so fun for kiddos. Our 6 year old son played outside from sun up to sun down, and then came inside to play with the legos and stuffies he found around the cabin. Never a minute of boredom, especially for the water babies. It’s also really nice having everything so close together. We could get both kiddos to bed and go to the sauna or sit around the fire while still being able to hear them. Probably the most peaceful vacation destination I’ve ever been to. We cry every time we leave. Cannot wait to come back again!! Also, the hosts..absolutely amazing! I was kind of worried about having hosts on site, because I really like my privacy but they’re so kind and helpful that it was actually nicer when they were there vs not

Elliot and Gina were amazing on so many levels. Their little cabin was just what we needed. It was very clean, tidy, cozy and offered all the amenities anyone could ever need or want. They went above and beyond to help my family and I make our vacation a reality. They were extremely kind and thoughtful on so many levels. It was definitely worth the twelve hour drive just for the sauna, privacy and view.

We absolutely loved staying at Franklin’s place. It provided the peace and quiet that we desperately needed away from the city life. The cabin is absolutely adorable! We were very thankful for all of the fans. lol. My family had a blast on the small lake and made many memories catching frogs and snakes. Super cute and clean place to stay!

We fell in love with Ruth Lake. The cottage was just right for our family and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy. We will definitely come back (unless we buy our own U.P. cabin first!)

We loved staying at this 1920’s cabin. It was so relaxing and wonderful to have the lake right there and everything felt clean that you could sit and relax. Loved having the fireplace for cool evenings too. Brent was very responsive and friendly as well.

Quiet, private, amazing location on rice lake. Watched the northern lights and sunrise from the cabin, beach and dock. Great experience!!!

Great place to stay. Peaceful location while still not being too far away from driving into Marquette. Lots of hikes around the area. The cozy living room fireplace made the stay perfect and warm during the chilly days.

We went skiing at Marquette mountain and brule. The cabin was perfectly located between both hills. The cabin was well equipped and warm in the winter. It was nice meeting you and thank you for making us feel welcome.
