Scott and Lucy’s house is amazing. The details are well thought out and you can tell they have put a lot of love into the place. All the beds are comfy and each mattress is a bit different. Scott was so friendly and had great communication through our stay. He was flexible with check in and check out times. I was celebrating my birthday there with friends and he made sure I had a great stay. He even had a bottle of wine and champagne waiting for me which we enjoyed on the deck. Having an upper and lower deck was great as it gets hot but one deck was always shaded by the trees. The hot tub was wonderful after a day of hiking and on the private side of the property. There is one neighboring house that is pretty close on one side of the house but on the side with the hot tub and upper deck you feel like you are completely alone in the wilderness. There are trails you can hike from the property just walk straight a few minutes through the gate and you hit a fire road. Hope to stay again.

We had a wonderful family trip! The clear night skies were perfect for stargazing, and the peaceful atmosphere was so relaxing. David was fantastic – friendly, responsive, and his recommendations were spot on. We look forward to coming back.

This place is absolutely DREAMY. The setting can not be beat and its so peaceful. The house is well stocked and had everything we needed and more. Everything was clean and comfortable. Jason was very responsive, kind and helpful. We enjoyed the the deck with family for Easter brunch, relaxing in the hammock swings, evening fires, walks to the pond, games and movies. Hoping to stay again soon!

Wow… words cannot explain our stay at the Violin house. The house its self is incredible.. SO peaceful and quiet. Sunsets in the hot tub were a highlight. The little town of Idyllwild is so special. Great food choices… lots to see and do! We actually went twice it was so great! Definitely, meet Mayor Max… an experience you’ll never forget. The house has everything you need… super comfortable and relaxing. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. The walk down to the house is exactly what the listing says. Pack smart! It’s pretty steep but worth it when you reach their little slice of heaven. We suggest you take a right out of the drive way and stop and watch the sunsets from Inspiration point. Absolutely breathtaking! If I could give this house 10 stars I would. So special, peaceful and a great place to reconnect with your loved ones. We will be back! Idyllwild you have our ❤️.

We rented the cabin after we had to cancel a camping trip and it was a wonderful and relaxing experience. It is nicely updated with plenty of space for 2. Lots of windows with pleasant views. So many places to hang out and explore. We climbed the mountain you can see from the deck (Stonewall Peak) and it was a great 4 mile hike from the Paso Picacho campground. The hot tub was very relaxing after hiking. It is an easy drive to Julian or Wynola to eat, just watch out for the deer and turkeys along the way. We also saw turkeys on the property. There are literally hiking trails everywhere in the area so we hope to return in the future.

The cabin is exactly as described if not better. It’s quiet and very close to town maybe a 5-10 min walk. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and we were able to fully enjoy home cooked meals. The linens were well stocked, jacuzzi and bathroom clean. The host was extremely responsive and the cabin itself was so nice. I enjoyed cups of coffee on the patio in the morning and saw the beautiful sunrise. A perfect little getaway celebrating my anniversary with my loved one. The cabin is one that should be respected and enjoyed. Thank you for having us, we’d love to come back!

Amazing stay in Julian, the cabin was super clean, comfortable and at a great location 2 miles from Main St. Julian. The cabin had beautiful views and felt really secluded, private and quiet. Me and the family had a great time!

This absolutely beautiful, stunning, and open-spaced A-Frame cabin was the absolute best stay we could’ve asked for. Paul & Melanie were extremely kind, informative, available, and flexible. If they were our host for any and all future air bnb’s, we’d be delighted! If you’re thinking of a get-away cabin in scenic nature, you’ve found the perfect, zen, accommodating cabin here at their Carpe-diem cabin! Highly, HIGHLY, recommend! Great food nearby, beautiful scenery, wonderful townspeople, quiet and quaint, lovely and private.

Ts place was great for our weekend in Julien. The house is located close to downtown. Plenty of activities in the area! The cabin is cozy And spacious very clean and great amenities. Our pup loved the place and the area around. The cabin is very private for those looking to stay in a quiet area. Overall great experience and plan to come back next time in Julien. T is a great host as well very responsive.

What a gem! CLEAN: The housekeepers do a great job. Everything is super organized. Cabin living with very smart touches like coat hooks and farm doors make the cozy space feel expansive and filled with natural light. View of trees from every nearly every window. CREATIVE: The hosts thought of everything. We especially enjoyed the complimentary dog treats and dog waste bags. RESPONSIVE: When I texted the hosts with a question, we received a rapid response. The hosts aim to please. LARGE FULLY FENCED YARD & DECK: This was a huge happiness factor for our large, fetch-loving dog. It was a joy to see him run the full length of the yard with his toys. This yard would be magical for kids when it snows as it has a slight slope and the hosts offer sleds. GREAT LOCATION: Super private and quiet but close to town. FULLY STOCKED KITCHEN: Easy to move around. Cooking at home was a cinch. CUTE DETAILS: One of the hosts is an artist and you can tell. Fun boho decor everywhere.

My friends and I spent the weekend in Julian here, and it was perfect! We loved the game room and the home had a lot of character.

We had a wonderful stay at Peaceful Pines! The cozy cabin was perfect for us and our two dogs. The backyard is a huge blessing and allowed us to have some time together without our pups. Jay is a kind person and welcomed us when we arrived. We are hoping to make this an annual trip! Thank you Jay 🐾

My wife and I loved!!! our stay, my wife says it’s the first Airbnb where she got the BEST sleep, her eye bags even went away lol! It was so peaceful and quiet. We are definitely coming back.

My family and myself went to celebrate my birthday at Amy's place, we were received by beautiful scenary from snowy mountains, trees, roads, it was beautiful. Place have everything you need to have nice rest, spacious, clean, blankets, towels, full stocked kitchen, tv...etc, the lovely backyard and ambience lights at night was the cherry on top. We went for a walk and into town, this is our 4th year visiting Idywild and it never dissapoints, locals are friendly and welcoming. We had a great stay...I would love to come back next year

Cozy cabin just a short drive from town. Long driveway helps it feel a little more secluded. Loaded with AC/heat. Nice kitchen and shower. Projector is an added bonus.

We loved staying here with my dog - the cabin was a perfect size for the two (three with the dog) of us! The kitchen is well-equipped with appliances and cookware - despite the small size, we were able to cook lovely meals and snacks. The view is amazing and quiet - loved sitting outside to eat. It was nice to walk around and meet the animals on site. Easy drives to lots of beautiful hiking. Dawn was extremely responsive, both quick and helpful with our questions. We definitely plan to return!

We spent a lot of time on the front porch once the sun set, looking through the Borrego valley and enjoying every moment of quiet, peaceful time together with our dog. We happened to come during an aerobatics competition at the nearby airport, so enjoyed watching masterful pilots show off their incredible skills during the day! Sunrises were so, so beautiful over an unobstructed desert vista. Kitchen was well stocked, AC cold, the place felt welcoming. Scrabble was a lot of fun. Loved the selection of books on local history and wildlife as well. We enjoy walking, but it was a little confusing what was ok to walk through and what wasn’t- but I could have easily asked Neiland, as he responded right away when I had a question about the trash disposal. We found ourselves walking the road in to avoid encroaching on anyone’s space, which was fantastic anyhow. Last thing. An adorable Say’s Phoebe hangs around, literally perched in a rocking chair next to us (between fly catching). So cool!

The Cowboy Cabin is the perfect place to really unwind and enjoy a relaxing stay while in Julian. If the weather is good like it was for us this weekend, it is just so relaxing to sit on the deck and listen to the birds. We have stayed at the cabin on multiple occasions, and it's our favorite place to stay in Julian. Christina definitely meets all the requirements of a super host. Super responsive and friendly in all her communications.

This is a special place. A perfect escape where to slow down immersed in nature. We’ll for sure come back!

The property provided a western ambiance with amazing views. The location was private but close to downtown Julian. We had a comfortable stay. The host was responsive and friendly.

Victoria's place is a real gem. It feels like a magical enchanted cottage. The location 2/3 of the way up Palomar mountain is majestic, and the views are to die for. One thing to know is that it can get cold up there in the mountain, even in late April, but it feels very cozy in the cottage because of the wood-burning stove, the blankets, and the board games. My friends and I liked it so much we're already planning when to come back.

Heather is a fantastic host that communicates well and promptly. Loved the place. It is beautiful and as described and minutes from dining and shopping. Watched a family of deer just yards away while relaxing on the deck. Will do it again

This cabin was everything we wanted for the week of our elopement. It was beautiful, peaceful and surrounded by stunning views. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

The place was perfect...quiet, private, and well-located. The backyard has a nice path along a stream that flows in the winter. We could walk to the park and into town, though there’s a steep hill to reach the children’s park. The layout is unique, with 1 private master bedroom and 3 loft-style bedrooms. While the lofts are open, the house still offers enough separation for quiet when needed. Overall, a great stay, and we’d definitely come back.
