This is a lovely farm with several cottages and homes available for stays. The grounds are spectacular with pastures filled with horses, gorgeous ponds, and amazing landscapes. The servants cottage met our needs perfectly. We stayed for only one night while traveling home to NY after snowbirds a couple months further south. I have family nearby and hope to stop here again in the future for a longer time. The cottage was well kept with a BBQ grill that my husband happily made our dinner on! There was also a portable fire pit that we enjoyed while having our after dinner cocktails. Super responsive and helpful! We highly recommend staying at this farm and can't wait to go back.

Our hostess, Tina, was easily available over a call or chat. The place is located at a serene location with a lot of horses around. We fed a few apples to the horses and the kids really enjoyed the whole experience. We also used the firepit under the open wide sky, it was very cozy. Gordonsville town was just 10 mins drive away with amenities like gas stations, 7-Eleven, Foodlion, etc. The house is beautifully decorated and has all the listed amenities. While we were cutting my nephew's birthday cake, our dog slipped into the master bedroom and damaged the comforter on the bed (a 3-4 inches long rip). We informed the same to Tina the next morning and offered to pay for the damages but she was very polite with us and mentioned that such incidentals are usually included in the cost and she'll let the owner know - if needed, he'll contact me. We really appreciate this gesture and would highly recommend their place for a beautiful holiday experience.

We’ve stayed in the pond house now twice and love it!! Grilling while looking down on pond is very relaxing! The house is great and the surroundings are amazing!!! Looking forward to another trip with my family!

This was our second time to the farm and I can not think of a better way to welcome the New Year with our children and grand children. The kids LOVE the farm and everyone we encountered couldn't have been nicer. We walked along the farm road everyday feeding carrots to the horses. There were babies this year as an extra bonus. ALSO on one of our walks we came upon a heard of PUPPIES! Small children and puppies couldn't have been cuter. The house was decorated for Christmas so we could put our presents under the tree for our belated family Christmas. Everything was amazing. Our Host Tina responded quickly to everything we needed. I hope we get to return soon.

We loved our stay here! Being able to watch the horses in their pastures from our space was incredible! Would definitely stay here again if in the area!

A beautiful, healing nature retreat with a supportive host. Camping on Darlene's land was an awesome experience. I loved exploring the creek and all the cool rocks, shells, nests, and animal tracks. You can follow it all the way down to the river and find lots of great little camping spots and other hidden gems along the way. This nature medicine combined with being able to relax in the sauna made it a wonderful few days of self care and healing. Darlene also offered an intro session in pathwork that really resonated with me as well as took me to tour a nearby regenerative farm. It was great and I will definitely be back!

very nice new features recently completed throughout the house. the kitchen and bathrooms (including the showers) were beautiful! Jenny supplied the kitchen with a bunch of utensils and the house with multiple games which we used the whole week. the location of the lake was convenient to all the restaurants. and the scenery at the dock was also beautiful. the only problem we had was there wasn’t much lighting outback. there was a lot of spiders on the deck and some gnats inside. but my husband used a homemade trap made out of a water bottle and trapped the gnats. we would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at the place, the kids loved the lake, which is so close! We cooked our meals in a very nice kitchen, and used the grill outside, and the fire pit. Took the kids on the 2 kayaks outside, and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the are. Kate is a great host, very lovely and responsive.

This place is a true gem. Beautifully designed with giant windows that show to views of lovely fields and mountains. The fireplace and the record player made for a really cozy getaway. The bedroom layout made it so that there was ample space and privacy for everyone.

Absolutely adorable hideaway. Perfect for getting a little bit of peace & quiet. With the pond just behind the White Oak cottage, we could hear the soft burbling of the fountain all night. Very soothing.

The pictures do not do this place justice! The Cabin was much roomier and more comfortable than we were expecting. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back.

The whole site was super cool and I wish I could have stayed longer! Booked last minute but will definitely keep this place in mind if I have future lodging needs in this area!

Not sure where to start actually, so many good things. We had a long travel day due to traffic primarily (12 hrs for an 8hr trip). So when we pulled in to the location just after dark and saw the setting, the large open green space and the ambiance lighting of the property, we immediately relaxed. Our dog was very happy for the space to move around also. Upon entering the cabin it felt very comforting and calming. The option of having a charcuterie board and a bottle wine available was great, we couldn't deal with another fast food meal! We were even able to get the vintage console stereo working and played some old records while we ate. The bed was very comfortable so we slept well and in the morning we discovered the walking trails and were able to take the pooch for a walk with our morning coffee and mentally prepare for another travel day. All three of us would highly recommend the "Corn Crib" if it fits into your travel plans. We hope to be back on our next trip down the coast.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property on Lake Anna. We had 4 young children and 3 adults for our trip. We had plenty of space in the home, and the beach area was perfect for our children to swim. In addition to swimming off the beach, we enjoyed boating, tubing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. It was so nice to have kayaks and paddle boards included on the property. When we weren’t outside we spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch. Evenings were spent down on the dock with a drink watching the sun go down on comfortable chairs. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area as well. We ate at four different restaurants. Had no problem stocking up groceries at Food Lion and grabbing a few things when needed from Dollar General. The surrounding wildlife was big plus. We saw some cool birds and saw deer going across the property at dusk. It was our first trip to Lake Anna but won’t be our last.

Peaceful location and just the right size. We enjoyed our time sitting on the porch reading, eating and just rocking in the large rocking wooden rocking chairs while chatting. We watched the ducks and geese on the lake. In the evenings, we could see the turtles stick their heads out of the water. Although there was lots to do, we only took advantage of the pools. If you are someone who wants to be doing something and planning activities to keep little ones busy, you have lots of options at the resort where this cabin is located.

We had a great time! My husband and I and our dog enjoyed staying at Kim’s place; it was incredibly private and peaceful (and quiet). We loved the pool and fire pit. I always appreciate and am grateful for dog-friendly places- my dog had a great time exploring and staying with us. The grounds are beautiful and we were very close to town amenities (anything we needed was a few minutes away), yet when we wanted to be alone our cottage was private overlooking gorgeous fields and woods. Fantastic stay!

better than we could have imagined! absolutely beautiful surroundings. The other cabins and main house are pretty close together physically but we never saw anyone-still felt private and the views/surroundings are so beautiful that you feel in your own world, an immersive place. We really liked the decor, much more soul than the average cabin you might find on airbnb, and clearly the hosts have an eye for art and history. There were two times we encountered dogs unexpectedly and without any owner in sight, but they were very friendly dogs and no trouble-just unexpected. This would be a fantastic intimate wedding location!! Had a wonderful time and will be returning in hotter months to use the absolutely beautiful pool area.. thanks for a lovely stay.

We had a relaxing stay with our doggies. it's a cute and cozy cottage. Kim was gracious and responsive. It's a lovely property. I slept in the downstairs bedroom with the doggies, which worked out because they couldn't climb the stairs and I'm scared of heights. I'm addition to the smart TV, the cottage is stocked with a great selection of movies.
