Madeleine was there to welcome us as we arrived, to pass us the house keys and a brief explanation about the house. The house is located about 7 mins drive to the centre (Knysna Central Mall) but also about 15-20mins walk (downhill). The drive way is narrow and rather steep. reversing the car can be tricky if you’re driving/ renting a medium sized car (crv/ and the likes). The view from the accommodation is simply fantastic. We had a lovely stay and would love to return again if we’re back In Knysna. Thank you Madeleine!

Before I review this beautiful residence, I have to say a word about Emmie and Willie. They are the sweetest, kindest couple, you will ever wish to meet. Not only kind, but also very smart. Emmie being an artist, among other things, and Willie, a master builder, and a rugby fanatic! We have been fortunate enough, to have visited this beautiful area a few times, but this time it was special. Emmie and Willie’s home, is perched way above the town of Knysna, with a gorgeous view, that spreads for miles. There are 4 bedrooms down below Emmie and Willie’s living quarters, with a private entrance. Ample room for a group or a large family, to stay. You have everything you need to make your stay more enjoyable, including a refrigerator, microwave, cooker, washing machine and tumble dryer. This place really is the real deal, and your home, away from home! To top it off, they have a gorgeous dog, named Mia. The host is very nice and responsive. She was also patient with us as we had to change our check-in time due to unforeseen circumstances.

An excellent stay in a big home with plenty of space. Tatum was helpful and responsive to any issues. It suited us very well while we visited friends in the area. Knysna is a great location for a holiday or just relaxing. Lots of fabulous restaurants available. Leisure Island and Thesen island ( both very close by car) are lovely places to visit very easily.

We had a fantastic stay at Adrie and Neville’s place! The house is exactly as shown in the photos: spacious, private, and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Adrie and Neville were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. The pool and jacuzzi were absolutely fabulous, and we loved having access to Netflix and Disney+, plus the pool table, ping pong, and foosball, perfect for relaxing and having fun. We also really appreciated having our own space to unwind and enjoy some quiet time, we felt completely at ease and comfortable throughout the stay. There’s a great laundry area, and the neighborhood is peaceful and beautiful. Just 4 minutes away, there’s a lovely restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The area felt super safe, and it’s ideal for couples, families, and even guests traveling with dogs. Highly recommended, we’d definitely love to come back!

We had a fantastic stay! The space was spotless — clearly cleaned to a high standard — and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. The apartment is beautifully designed with stylish lighting, thoughtful decor, and a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. It’s very well-equipped, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and we really appreciated the little refreshments provided. The location on the coast is ideal — peaceful, yet close enough to everything. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Knysna sehr genossen! Ein tolles Haus in toller Lage mit einem atemberaubenden Blick über die Lagune. Vanessa und Sheldon sind wunderbare Gastgeber, die stets gut zu erreichen waren und uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite gestanden haben. Wir haben uns sofort zu Hause gefühlt. Nochmals ganz herzlichen Dank und wir hoffen auf ein nächsten Mal :)

Großes Haus mit vielen Zimmer. Toller Garten, mit riesigen Sonnendeck, Pool & Hot-Tub. Die Unterkunft und Einrichtung weißt natürlich einige Gebrauchsspuren auf, das ist aber vollkommen OK und alles im Rahmen des Erwartbaren. Die Unterkunft liegt auf einem sehr steilen Hügel und ist vom Ortskern (Supermarkt, Restaurants, etc.) eigentlich nur mit dem Auto zu erreichen - für uns war das aber kein Problem, dafür hat man nämlich einen grandiosen Ausblick. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden immer wieder kommen. Max

Livingstone Villa is tucked up the hill directly above the village of Wilderness. It offers fantastic ocean views from multiple terraces and is a quick walk to restaurants, shops and a grocery store. The villa is tastefully furnished with a luxurious primary suite. We did not use the other bedrooms, but the floorplan is a great setup for 2 couples or a group of friends. The kitchen is well equipped, and we enjoyed many meals there. We even used the indoor BBQ grill. Highly recommended, I would not hesitate to book again.

We had an amazing stay. Tess (the host) was phenomenal and continuously ensured our stay was good. The staff on site are very polite and always had a smile on their face. They were also very respectful when they come in to clean or when we needed anything. Well worth our stay.

This has to be the best house we have ever stayed in. The house all the amenities and amazing attention to detail. Incredible views, every appliance you need and responsive host, worth every cent. Definitely coming back.

Fantastic house. The pictures really don’t do it justice. Fantastic kitchen , lounge , tv room , lots of spacious decks and lounge furniture. Great garden and pool. right opposite the beach.

Thesen Island is a great place to stay…..safe , secure and within easy reach of local amenities. Lianne was an excellent host, always on hand to answer any questions and help make our stay most enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Wonderful stay - Frank was very helpful and his place was peaceful safe and clean - everything myself and my elderly parents needed.

Tashas place is a real gem! We have never stayed anywhere like this before and it was fab. The cabin is minimalist but clean and comfortable. The other amenities such as the hot tub, sofa looking over the view and Braai are all great. It was easy to uber to town and all instructions were very clear. Tasha is also fantastic so would love to stay again!

What a beautiful oasis 😍 peaceful, relaxing and a real cabin feel! We went there to do some wedding planning and were greeting by a beautiful personalized board and a bottle of wine. The hot tub was a huge hit as well, we braved it at night and it was a perfect addition to the forest feel of the cabin. Liesl could not have executed the interior design any better, evey time you look around you see a new small detail of thought and care. Cannot wait for our next trip to Knysna, we will definitely be back!

This place is ideal anyone who seeks peace and quiet. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in the accommodation are top-notch and you can tell a lot of effort went into building it. The views of the mountain and orchards are absolutely awesome, making it an incredible spot to relax and take it all in. Highly recommend!

Beatrice provided a beautiful stay, a home away from home. She was very proactive with messages and checked we had got in safe etc ☺️ the setting is beautiful with good security and activities for younger kids. Knysna is within walking distance but we chose to drive for personal reasons but everything was easy enough to find. The complex is very peaceful and we enjoyed the space so much!
