Great little place to stay for a couples getaway ! Everything you need to enjoy a stay in the area. We enjoyed using the firepit and listening to the birds in the trees. Plan to come back, next time we're in the area.

Whitetail Cottage is a lovely spacious home surrounded by manicured lawns and natural wooded acreage in the heart of farm country. Zana made sure we were comfortable in the Cottage with plenty of paper goods and coffee to get us started on our week's stay. The linens were bountiful and of high quality. Wi-Fi worked great, AC was cold, hot water was hot! Not a spec of dirt or stray hair was found. This sounds pretty basic, but it's the little things that make a place wonderful! Every detail was accounted for including turning on the ice maker for us, providing mints in the candy dishes, and detergent for the washing machine. Cows across the gravel road (behind a secure fence) and deer greeted us each morning and evening. The stars visible in the night sky are impressive at this location. That being said, Wal-Mart was just a 20-minute drive away so stocking-up on food was easy. I hope we will be able to return again to this beautiful location and kind hostess.

Deja was a wonderful host, and her place was awesome, as advertised.

Enjoyed ourselves very much, kids loved the gym. We loved being all together yet having our own rooms as an extended family.

We had a very comfortable stay. Convenient parking close to the cabin . Located on the river a short driving distance from Keosauqua, Lake Sugema and Lacey Keosauqua park. While we went out for our meals the cabin had plenty of amenities for preparing meals and an outdoor fire ring. We like visiting the area and enjoyed our stay.

I booked this cabin because I needed some quiet time and solitude. From the moment I entered the cabin, I felt at peace. The living room/kitchen are combined and is so cozy yet plenty of space. There’s lots of natural light. It was cold outside, but the fireplace kept the room toasty. The bathroom and bedroom are the other 2 rooms, and they’re perfectly sized for 1-2 people. Best of all, though, is the deck and the view of the river! Sommer is a gracious, friendly, helpful host, and I’m thankful for my little getaway!

Having grown up in Van Buren county I was beyond excited to find such a great looking and cute place to stay! I was in town for the annual Forest Craft Festival but also to see family and friends. This home is an easy walk to downtown Keosauqua. Granted it is not a big town but everything is within a short walk or drive. I had a small issue trying to figure the heat out, it was operator error, and within 5 minutes of reaching out there was a knock at the door. Sonya’s place may become the location for an annual HS friend get together. Thank you for the lovely home!
