Local style home with all of the amenities you would expect. The best thing about the place was 1- the hikes around the place and 2- the excellent hosts! The hosts showed us around the area, helped immediately with any requests we had and were really nice people.

The host was very accommodating and personally picked us up and explained the way to the accommodation. As another option, we were offered that the family will prepare dinner for us. We were very happy to accept this offer. The food was super tasty, rich and traditional Jordanian cuisine. His wife's pickled olives were fantastic. The accommodation was very clean, in great condition and the sleep was very restful. All our needs were taken care of immediately. Recommended as accommodation in Petra for those who want to immerse themselves in local life and meet the people who actually live in the Petra area. Since our host himself works in Petra, he could also give us many tips. One should have a rental car to be mobile at the accommodation. We can recommend the stay here for a good night's sleep.

Wir waren eine Nacht dort während Ramadan. Wir wurden sehr freundlich aufgenommen und hatten einen schönen unterhaltsamen Abend mit der Familie. Sie sprechen teils Englisch und so kann man sich gut unterhalten. Nach dem abendlichen Fastenbrechen gab es landestypisches, sehr leckeres, selbstgekochtes Essen. Auch Ramadanspezialitäten wie Tamarindensaft (sehr lecker) und lecker gefüllte Nachspeise bekamen wir. Morgens wurde uns ein gutes, abwechslungsreiches Frühstück mit frischem Rührei, Kaffee und Tee serviert. Das Zimmer entsprach der Beschreibung (Schlafcouch) mit eigenem Badezimmer. Alles in allem wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Der Preis ist für Jordanien etwas zu hoch, aber noch akzeptabel.

Nayef was a very gracious host that welcomed us with open arms. On top of a hill overlooking Wadi Musa was a beautiful view. Nice and heated in the winter and only a 5 min drive to Petra Visitor Center. Prepared meals are offered for a reasonable price.

Sama’N’s was a great host. He was very responsive and really helpful. and he asked about us a lot during our stay.I booked the apartment a few days before my arrival and asked him for an additional air conditioner, which he installed before my arrival, knowing that it was a holiday period. He brought another bed mattress when I asked him to change the oldest one.The apartment is huge and stunning. It's old but very nice and clean. good internet, kettle, microwave, iron, the balcony was very cozy. It's suitable for a family. The location was great; everything was nearby the apartment (restaurant, coffee shop, grocery, bakery, mall). Also, the guard was helpful. When I come again, I will definitely stay at the Sama'N's apartment, he has other apartments.One annoying point about the house is that, because it is old, the window shutters were not very good. Overall, this was the most welcoming, beautiful stay we could have hoped for. I highly recommend it!

I had a very pleasant stay at the apartment. The hosts are very welcoming and nice, I felt directly at home. The apartment has a nice location in a quiet neighborhood and was overall clean. If I come back to Amman, I would stay here again.

My wife and I wanted to see Umm Qais and as we took public transportation from Amman decided to stay for the night. This place is right next door to the Roman Ruins, so we could walk there. Yaser and his son Omar were very responsive and helped us find the place on our arrival. The apartment is quite spacious and clean (as shown in photos). We had a nice dinner at the Umm Qais guest house on the site of the ruins which overlook the Sea of Galilee and Golan Heights with breathtaking view. Omar and a woman helped provide us with a tasty Mediterranean breakfast the next morning. We highly recommend this place.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at Jehad's Airbnb, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I booked, Jehad was incredibly accommodating and responsive. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for his guests' comfort made my trip truly memorable. If you’re looking for a host who exemplifies what Airbnb is all about, Jehad is your go-to. Firstly, I would start with gratitude. Hamzah, you became our friend very quickly. Thank you from all of us for your hospitality, your kindness and the amazing organization! Everyone who is considering should book this property! I could honestly say that this apartment is perfect, especially for its price but the thing which is the very best of the best is Hamzah himself. Before booking the property, I wrote him a short letter and within 2-3 minutes I have already got the confirmation to book the home. After we book it (like seconds after) Hamzah wrote me to ask if we need anything else and he offered us to help us with other arrangements for our trip. He helped us to book bedouin camp as well in Wadi Rum for amazing prices (even local people were impressed) and also he helped us with organizing our transport which was a bit complicated and again on amazing fares. (from Aqaba to Wadi Musa in the evening, then from Wadi Musa to Wadi Rum and then from Wadi Rum again to Aqaba again in the evening) We spent in Hamzah’s apartment 1 night. Everything was clean and welcoming. Even though we came almost at midnight, we were welcomed so warmly we felt like home. In the appartment there is everything you may need during your stay, including some tourist broshures etc. The home is very near to the Petra’s entrance (like 10-15 mina depending on which way you take) and actually it is in the city center- there are many shops and food spots. We bought super delicious fresh fruits, some stuff from the supermarkets and etc. The location is amazing not only because its close to everything but because it provides you with peace so you can rest after a busy trip. Hamzah was even checking up on us during our trip if we are okay or we nees anything. What could we say more- Hamzah is a host that everyone would dream of! Thank you my friend once again! Layla was an amazing host. We stayed at her house during winter time so we were the only guests. The house is big, and very clean, tou can seat outside if the weather is nice and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains. The house is located in a little village about 10 minutes from Petra. The people there are nice and very welcoming. We had the chance to eat in many places while we were in Jordan but Layla’s cooking was by far the best. She woke up early do make us delicious breakfast and we appreciate it very much. We also learned a lot about the culture in Jordan and about Layla’s experiences. Overall Layla was the best host we have ever had, and we have stayed in many Airbnbs all over the world. We definitely recommend her place.

Great location for visiting historical Umm Qais. Wonderful community involvement in investments made by Baraka in developing visitor features. Great additional features available, e.g. hiking, bee keeping, foraging, and dinner. Relatedly, the breakfast was incredible. Beautiful black and white photos on the walls for sale.

The room was amazing, very warm and cozy. The included breakfast and paid dinner was extremely good as well. Ali and his staff are extremely helpful and nice, with very good English. Wish we stayed longer!

The welcome is warm from the whole family. the place fits the photos and Ibrahim is a very caring person. I recommend without hesitation.

If you are looking for a genuine experience and to regain faith in humanity we highly recommend to stay at Abid & Manal place. We had the chance to meet Joel & Randy during our stay which was the cherry on the cake. Finally, we were given very useful advises and felt like family. Een zeer hartelijk welkom wachtte ons bij aankomst. De mensen waren prachtig, buitengewoon vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het eten bereikte sterrenniveau, en de sfeer voelde als een warme familie, perfect voor een gezellig praatje. Ik beveel dit ten zeerste aan; de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding was fenomenaal. De gastvrijheid was ongeëvenaard, en alles overtrof zelfs onze verwachtingen.

We only had one night to stay in Petra. Gail was wonderful host, very friendly. The house is indeed on a hill, and the view of the city is beautiful during the day and stunning at night. Room was very comfortable. Next morning, Gail prepared us an incredible, delicious breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
