Was in town on short notice for work and found an absolute gem! Beautiful cabin and scenery! Barbara was an amazing host and I look forward to visiting again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin! It was a wonderful experience for our entire family. It was private, quiet, and had everything we would want for a family spring break trip. Kitchen was well stocked, plenty of linens, plenty of everything. Favorite part was the private boat dock, but the kids also loved the loft area and the bunkbeds setup. We would absolutely recommend this cabin and would stay here again!

This was a beautiful home with beautiful scenery - all necessities were provided - even the pellets for the grill which was awesome!! (The only thing I wasn’t expecting was that the other bedroom was only accessible from outside.) It was so quiet and peaceful but also pretty close to everything! We would definitely come back to this house!

Great place and great host. Loved the area and really enjoyed all of the supplied firewood. Property just as described and overall was a wonderful stay.

Great communication and friendly owner. Worked with me and was great to work with. I needed to check in early to send some work related info (last minute from customer) and the owner worked with me. Quiet location and enjoyed my stay.

This lake house is better than the photos. There are extra beds in every bedroom, so it really sleeps 14. The house is very spacious, well-built, quiet. It’s not close to amenities (except for Dollar General), so bring food with you. Outside spaces are manicured and lovely, and that dock is magical. Just watching the lake with a cup of coffee on the dock’s porch swing will melt all your stress! If you have kids, bring some toys for them. You will leave this place refreshed by God’s creation!

Our third trip did not disappoint! We look forward every year to spending time in the peace and quiet of nature at the Colonel’s Cabin. The most welcoming host, and the most serene cabin and landscape!

Wonderful stay and host! Photos don’t do this property justice, even better in person! The care and attention to even the smallest indoor and outdoor comfort things was wonderful! Tiki torches full of mosquito oil, propane in the grill and deck fire place, coffee and snacks, once already made, etc. The outside space was just perfect and so very peaceful! Exactly what I was looking for as the first location for my Ozark Mountain hiking trip!! This place exceeded my expectations! I’ll stay here again next time I’m down for sure!

This property has ample indoor and outdoor space, lot's of privacy, and excellent views! We enjoyed the various seating options throughout the days and evenings. The interior decorations were enjoyable! Host communication from checkin to checkout was excellent and very timely. The place is aptly named as the river views are unmatched in this area and can be enjoyed from multiple vantage points. The fire pit worked great for the evening! We will keep this place on our list for return trips.
