Absolutely loved the shearer’s cooks cottage. It was full of old world charm just as Coleen described. We had all cozy comforts including beautiful soft bed linen… some much appreciated food supplies eg bread,eggs, butter and spreads .. little extras travellers need and don’t always carry. Also there was plenty of fire wood and kindling so it was easy to keep cottage warm. Would highly recommend and would stay again in a heart beat. Many thanx Colleen for a great stay.

Great cosy apartment with a beautiful view of the lake. Walking distance to supermarket and restaurants. Coffee machine was a delight to have for early mornings before heading off into the mountains. The resort has a pool and tennis court. You need to have your own tennis gear (as they don't lend them out from reception - which we found odd). The pool was not overly heated either (maybe due to construction?) Sofa bed was super convenient for the kids but way too firm for my old bones. A great apartment to use as a base for exploring the mountains. Looking forward to coming back.

If I could, I’d leave 10 stars instead of 5! This place is absolutely exceptional. The house is beautifully decorated, with every detail carefully thought out to ensure maximum comfort for guests. The highlight of my stay was the home-cooked meals offered by the host – delicious, fresh, and made with love, adding a truly unique touch to the experience. The host was incredibly warm and attentive, making sure I felt right at home. The house is located in a peaceful area on the stunning Australian countryside, offering a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. This is without a doubt one of the best places I’ve ever stayed!

Roohaven is the perfect place if you’re looking for a relaxed stay with a beautiful view and lovely host. And we did indeed see kangaroos in the garden 🥰 Helen is absolutely lovely and we felt able to contact her if we needed anything during our stay. Her extra efforts to make sure we were comfortable did not go unnoticed, and we really appreciated the vegan biscuits she bought us in place of the timtams she usually provides 😊 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting to relax in nature and watch the starry sky at night ❤️

I’m hesitant to share how amazing this place is so I can gatekeep it as our hidden gem. We stayed in Gary’s beautiful country cottage and are now questioning city living. The house itself is incredibly cosy and was the perfect size for our family. Being slightly out of Jindabyne meant our crazy toddler could live his best life climbing the rocks, running through the paddock and watching the planes/helicopters take off while still being exceptionally quite and private. It is perfectly situated the get into the national park without the fuss and into Jindy for meals and drinks with ease. 10/10 recommend Gary’s place.

An amazing spot, just lovely, quiet, private and comfortable. House is so well designed, and very cute, all the extras well appreciated, like fresh ground coffee and carrots to feed the horses. Great shower, cozy firepit, comfortable beds and views over the valley. Will be back.
