This was a very nice place. Everything was clean and very comfortable. It was quite and easy to walk or get around.

We had a quick one night stay on our cross country trip. Jame’s unique Airbnb was perfectly located off I-10. We are rock hounds so enjoyed the eclectic decor and rocks of this previous rock shop. The space was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed.

Great place to stay! Will is an excellent host… very helpful with recommendations and made sure the trip was going smooth. This is an excellent location for a peaceful getaway, a trip to the McDonald Observatory, and to the surrounding small west Texas towns.

Perfect place to stay. Davis mountains state park is less than 10 minutes away. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Perfect size kitchen. Picturesque surroundings.

This house is incredible! I’ve stayed in places all over the world, and I would absolutely come back. If you want to relax and be in a private, secluded place, this is your house.

Gary was a great host and always available if needed. It was easy to find and his place is up in the mountains almost on top. Lots of wildlife around especially friendly deer and birds everywhere. The State Park is a few miles away and a great place to hike. The skies are clear and great for observing the night skies. Huge difference between large town light pollution and Gary’s rental at Fort Davis. I was there for astrophotography which did not disappoint. Local grocery store is very close with everything you may need including takeouts. Very nice and peaceful there with the fresh air. Nice King size comfortable bed. TV in both the bedroom and living room if you want to watch, but who needs a TV with everything else to do. WiFi connection was good and reliable. I would highly recommend it.

Very nice place to stay in Fort Davis. Most comfortable beds I have slept in in an Air BB. Great mattress! Very quiet and peaceful with the sleeping lion mountain in front. We enjoyed the birds and their morning chatter. Walkable to the downtown area. Matthew was a lovely host. Quickly responded to my question and had clear instructions for the lockboxes. Also he was very concerned with making our stay wonderful. Be aware that there aren’t too many eating establishments in Fort Davis but we tried Lupita’s and were not disappointed! Also there’s a very nice, new Lowe’s grocery store in Fort Davis where you can get any groceries as well as supplies. We definitely enjoyed the area and Matthews place. Do not miss the McDonald Observatory! The stars at night are truly big and bright in Texas!
