The perfect relaxing cabin. A short drive from gorgeous wineries and a quick walk to a beautiful hiking trail where we found over 12 mushroom species. Highly recommend this host!

Truly luxury cabin in a beautiful forest 10 min away from Carbondale, IL. You can feel everything in this cabin was done with love. Everything is just right, the kitchen, the bedroom the porch even a back porch with a table and a hot tub. There is a very nice 25-min trail going around the property. As you walk the trail you don’t see any neighbors so you have a feel of a deep forest. We stayed with a dog and appreciated the front porch and a hose to wash her paws. This place truly felt like home. Our big thanks to the owners who found this place and built these cabins. And of course big thanks to the host Alison who manages the property and makes it easy for visitors like us. Great job guys!

We love hiking so we visited the Garden of the Gods, the Little Grand Canyon and the Giant City Nature Trail. This cabin is in a great location for visiting the Shawnee National Forest and perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking. The grill for making dinner was so clean, as well as the hot tub for relaxing. Also a fire pit out back. The kitchen had everything you could need. Shampoo and conditioner were also provided. This is by far the best Airbnb I have visited, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We had a great time :)

This little cabin in the woods was very spacious and luxurious. The salt water hot tub was relaxing and extremely clean. It is just a short drive from the Giant City Lodge where we enjoyed a delicious meal for our 25th wedding anniversary and then went back to the cabin and relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed listening to the turkey's and owls.

Amazing stay for a group of friends to have a relaxing weekend away. Perfect hot tub, comfortable beds, amazing view, well equipped kitchen, friendly hosts, very private, and clean! We thought it was even better in person than the listing shows!

Larry was very responsive and accommodating. Checked to make sure we were able to get in and that our stay was going smoothly. Everything was as described with special touches added to make sure we felt right at home during our stay. We were pleasantly surprised when Larry’s wife dropped off a delicious fresh baked good. We will definitely be staying with them again.

I REALLY ENJOYED THIS PROPERTY. IT IS IN A GREAT AREA AND I LOVED THE UNIQUENESS OF THE BUILDING. LARRY WAS AWESOME.

I've stayed here a number of times when spending the weekend at Kinkaid. They make things easy and take great care of their property and cabins.

Such a wonderful place in a peaceful setting. Beautiful home and surroundings.

It is an older cabin in the woods. Very nice and quiet. We were able to swim and fish in the pond. The kids had a blast catching the bluegill and bass. The pond has a sand beach. We will come stay in some of the other cabins in the future. Tom was always easy to speak to. We did not have any issues that we needed Tom to address.

Larry's place was in great shape, easy to get in, clean and information provided about local sights and restaurants provided. Pictures and description were accurate. We would definitely book this rental again. The cottage was 7-8 miles from downtown Murpheysboro via small country roads. Not a complaint, just a fact. Kids, don't leave your GPS enabled device at home. Jerry

We spent 5 days at this well-kept, quaint and comfortable farmhouse which had everything we could have ever needed for a delightful stay. The kitchen is well-stocked with cookware, dinnerware, etc., for eating in, but plenty of restaurants are also just a short drive away. The vineyards and the expansive area surrounding the farmhouse are beautiful and peaceful, and the rural quietness made for great nights' sleep. Excellent Wi-Fi and a large screen Roku tv is provided, as are coffee filters and some ground coffee to get you get you going the next day (one of several thoughtful touches in the house). We especially appreciated one of the farm’s family members giving us a fantastic account of the area’s history. Thank you! This was the perfect place to settle into for an extended stay.

We were surprised by the amenities and care that Mary took to get the place ready for our stay. She had all the essentials in case you missed packing something and more. She was very responsive when we asked for dinner recommendations. The cabin is right at the entrance to Godwin trail and 1.5 miles from the cross. It is walking distance to the cross as well.

If your idea of Heaven includes a beautiful lake view in a tranquil setting where you can relax, I have good news. This location is it. Joanna Beth responded to questions quickly and I felt confident that our stay would be a perfect getaway, which was correct. The space was clean, comfortable, roomy, and had everything we needed. The recommendations for restaurants in town were really helpful, and we enjoyed some of the nearby hiking opportunities as well. We will definitely stay here again in the near future!

We had an incredible weekend at this cabin! It was cozy, relaxing, and comfortable. Jess was very welcoming and responsive with my questions. The hot tub and robes were the highlight of our stay! The cabin was located in a great spot with close proximity to beautiful hikes and enjoyable wineries. We are excited to recommend this cabin to friends and hopefully return in the future.

Another great stay on the property. We love the location and proximity to everything. Also, the property is accomodating for our fishing boat. Tom-tom (the cat) was a fantastic little amenity at the cabin. He greeted us upon our return and joined us for our morning coffee. Give him all the love!
