We loved the home. It was so peaceful and the host responded very quickly. Decided to book for another night with no issues. Very quick response. Absolutely loved it.

Gorgeous cabin for a relaxing peaceful time with your family. Great local Raw honey. Beautiful kitchen to cook in. If you have toddlers be cautious of the balconies, otherwise 10/10 recommend.

We had a great time at the lake house. We could easily spread out. The two dining areas were great for the kids. We enjoyed the hammocks and the kayaks. The host was very friendly and responsive.

Paula was easy to get in touch with. The house is really big with lots of areas for the kids to play. It was well equipped. Looking forward to going back!

Great place to unplug, unwind and relax. The home has lots of amenities and lovely touches, beds are comfortable, loved the hot tub, the gas fireplace is easy to use and great for cozy winter nights. Very peaceful and quiet for the two of us and our dog. The Mentone Market is 10 minutes away and is a gem full of artesian goods (great pizza too!) and Desoto Falls is 5 minutes away (a gorgeous hike to a beautiful 104ft waterfall). We’ll definitely be back!

We have family in the area and needed a place near Gurley AL to accommodate others. Our stay was great and provided everything we needed (although the weather could been better!).

The only issues were that the listing shows a kayak, but there wasn’t one, and there were a couple broken windows.

Really enjoyed our stay at Lazy River Cottage! Home was clean and orderly and exactly as described with plenty of room for our party of 5. We don't eat out much and prefer to cook our meals at the home so the full kitchen was much appreciated. Making use of the kayaks was a ton of fun. DeSoto Falls hiking trails and picnic area were easily accessible by a very short walk. This was a great home base to explore Mentone and Little River Canyon. 100% would book it again. Thanks so much for a great stay!

We had our annual college friend reunion here this year, and I think we’ll be coming back here every year. This place was perfect. It had enough space for everyone without being crammed. Everything worked great, easy to get to. This was the perfect place for us. Cannot recommend Laura and this place enough. We will 1000% be coming back!

Lots of space for our family get together. Prime location to get to area attractions (Mentone, hiking, swimming spots). Well equipped kitchens in both cabins. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels. We particularly enjoyed the screened porches. There were kids games and puzzles for inside fun as well as paddle boards and floats for water fun.

Kasey was amazing! We had an unexpected last minute change of plans and Kasey was immediately available and very helpful. The place was just as described, very clean, ample parking, and had lots of extras! The temperature was in the 50s so we didn’t anticipate the use of the on-site canoe, but to our surprise, our children were in it for hours! They even had a large selection of life vests that accommodated all of our children ranging in age from 8 to 18. No complaints at all from our stay.

We loved our stay here! The cabin was adorable and in a great location. Very peaceful but close to town. The host was communicative and kind enough to accommodate our request for a late checkout. I also appreciated that there were not outrageous cleaning requests before checkout like some airbnb's have. We hope to come back and stay again in the future.

We picked this place to relax and enjoy time together while exploring other things in the area with our kids, including a trip into Huntsville and Cathedral Caverns. We spent a lot of time on the back porch enjoying the view or by the fire pit for the pleasant Spring evenings. Debbie was very helpful when we had questions and made our stay enjoyable. We especially appreciated her assistance during the overnight tornado warning! Come chill at Debbie's place and don't miss the chance to see the Cathedral Caverns just down the road.
