This place is fantastic for getting rid of stress. The service is great, it's super clean and quiet, and the view is amazing. If you want to escape the city, this is a perfect spot – a definite 10 out of 10. I'll definitely be going back!

Great hospitality. We had a great stay. Very clean and loved the hot tub, lake, beach, kayaks and our room was very comfortable and clean. Great complimentary coffee & treat in room!

This place was absolutely beautiful. We were fortunate the rain stayed away until late in the evening so we enjoyed the beautiful sunny day. Hit the town for a relaxing walk before retreating to the chalet for a nice bbq and drinks on the patio as we watched all the boats passing by on the water. The inside was immaculate and the hot tub was an amazing way to end the night. Our host was quick to respond to questions and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Was a great way to spend a 1 year anniversary 😊

This is a great place to relax! Extremely quiet, spectacular view and plenty of space for a family of 4 to 6 to spread out and chill. The private beach is a nice added touch and Baddeck is only a 2 minute drive, but I wouldn’t walk there, cars drive a little fast down that road and there’s no sidewalk. Tyler was a great host, explained everything perfectly, right down to recommending water shoes for the private beach ( which we had). There’s also a nice listing of local places and lots of brochures so you can find stuff to do. It was ~25 degrees when we stayed and it gets nice and cool at night so not having A/C isn’t a problem. There are so many windows that open in so many directions, you’ll catch a breeze.

We had an amazing time at this gorgeous place! Very peaceful, stunning views, we wished we had more time there. Tricia had a great restaurant recommendation and even printouts of locations of various beaches, as well as lots of helpful information. She was also very responsive, accommodating and helpful. We loved the place and would definitely return again!

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the Big House. It is a great spot when you have a large group! The location is fantastic, within walking distance to everything and Willie is very accommodating and responsive.

This is a truly delightful location to stay. Bernadette was a welcoming host and made sure I had everything I needed for my visit. The farm fresh eggs and Cape Breton biscuits were an added bonus. The peacefulness of the farm surrounding and night sky make for a great place to truly relax . Mornings were welcomed by Eoin, their dog who is friendly and affectionate.

Very relaxing spot, excellent view sitting right in a little bay on the ocean so the water was always calm. If you have kayaks make sure you bring them it would be a perfect spot. We tried fishing from shore but I think you might need to get out in the cove a bit where it’s a little deeper. Very cute spot loved drinking coffee every morning on the deck looking at the view!

Get some real R&R at this hidden gem, Port Hood Island’s only AirBnB. Arrive by boat which was a great adventure to kick off the trip. Hop around the trails and beaches in the golf cart which also handles luggage and supplies. The house is well-stocked with a thousand pieces of decor to remind you of the island’s fishing history. The charm of a well-built, well-loved Cape Breton home with some original doors, cabinets along with some modern upgrades. Dishes, housewares, appliances and furniture were more than enough for a small crowd. Lots of sofas to gather round, one table for games, another for dining and a third patio table on the deck with the most peaceful view. The only screen you’ll need is sunscreen (but Starlink is onsite for rainy days). The beds and linens were comfy, the bedrooms were spacious. New windows and an open concept made the space bright with spectacular views from all sides. You’ll never find a better host. Agnes was caring, helpful and felt like family.

We enjoyed our rural stay at Scotty’s. The house was comfortable and well equipped and a peaceful landscape. Close to Mabou and walking trails.

5 stars all the way. Unbelievable view; we could have sat on the deck and looked at it all day, and sometimes we almost did. Randall was a fabulous and communicator who went way of his way to ensure a totally memorable stay for us. The house isn’t the most modern of homes but who cares? We were extremely happy, comfortable and cozy on the deck, couch and bed and we had everything we needed. I know it’s sounds silly but honestly the only downside was that we couldn’t stay longer. Next time we will.

Charming cottage overlooking the water with a beach close by.. cottage was very clean with all the amenities you need.. We certainly enjoyed our stay.

The house on the lake was just what we needed to enjoy a cousin get-away! The house has plenty of indoor space to socialize and relax. The outdoor space was stunning ~ loons, heron, and otters entertained us in the lake. There are extra bedrooms and bathroom in the converted garage. It is very peaceful and the scenery is beautiful.

Maison centenaire rénovée avec beaucoup de minutie et de soucis du détail. Propreté impeccable, cuisine toute équipée. Grand terrain pour courir, jouer au ballon, à la pétanque et observer des chevreuils :) Vue partielle de l'océan, on ne peut pas s'y rendre à pied facilement. 2-3 minutes en voiture (1.6km) de la fantastique plage de Pointe Michaud (3km de plage avec sauveteur et toilettes sèches) À 5min du Lobsers-r-us ou on a acheté des homards qui venaient d'être pêchés (ils peuvent aussi nous les cuire) Aucun réseau cellulaire (Videotron/Bell/Rogers/Telus) ni à la maison, ni a la plage. La maison est équipée d'un téléphone pour appels locaux.

Green Gables is a beautiful place to spend a few days, close enough to Baddeck for takeaway pizza but far enough away for total peace and quiet. The house was warm, very comfortable and clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. It felt like we were in Anne of Green Gables!!!

Courtney’s place is lovely. It is right in the center of Baddeck and has everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Donna's place was very clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was very well supplied for making meals. I also appreciated the ample parking (two full-sized pick-up trucks fit easily) and proximity to great places to eat (I was sometimes too tired to use the fine kitchen)! Donna made the stay easy and convenient - thanks!
