This was such a beautiful location and perfect little cabin for a weekend away. The photos do not even do the location justice for how beautiful it is right on the water! Host was responsive when I had a question regarding how to use the heat and the area was quiet and peaceful. Truly a wonderful experience!

Upon arrival, it was easy to find and easy to get into. It is right on Lake Huron and the beach itself is immaculate. The space was beautifully decorated and had all kinds of useful amenities. It was really cozy. :) Amazing experience! Will be back!

It’s a very nice little getaway cabin special in the summer. It’s really beautiful. I could imagine we stay there during a snowstorm. The only thing if you go up here during the winter month, make sure you don’t have a low sitting car. And that you have a suv

Glad that we chose this place at the very last minute. The place was nice and quiet, the deck is very peaceful to just sit and relax. The kitchen is stocked with basic essentials.

We had an excellent stay, the lake view from the house is absolutely stunning!! Plenty of out door seating and the water was great! 10/10

This was a lovely little cottage! It’s in a perfect spot in town and right on the water. I loved being able to walk right out the door and seeing the lake. Wonderful place to stay, I’d definitely stay again!

Girls weekend at Van Etten Lake. House is adorable with plenty of amenities. The back deck is as where we spent most of our time. Large and comfy. We had a bonfire one night (thanks for leaving us some wood - it’s hard to gather on motorcycles ;)). Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of linens and towels. We had a beach day in Oscoda and we want to come back! Found some nice spots for dinners. The weekend was over way too soon! Thanks for a great spot!

Matt and Mary created a space that was nothing short of wonderful. They thought of everything for their guests to completely enjoy their getaway. We received their permission to use it for a small baby shower, & we were BLOWN away with the cleanliness, the attention to detail, and their willingness to accommodate us. Sarah's place was a dream. My husband and I stayed for my birthday weekend in April 2025 with our toddler and infant. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. We loved the huge kitchen with space to cook our own Easter meal, decorate eggs, and spread out all of our children's Easter goodies on the large dining table. The kitchen and living area are the best parts of the home -- spacious, clean, and free of clutter. We loved waking up each morning to the lake view along with the accessibility of the grill and hot tub just steps from the kitchen/dining/living area. Sarah was a proactive and welcoming host, and did everything she could to try to make it right when we found the coffeemaker missing (a previous guest had broken it, and it was being replaced). This is a remote location perfect for getting away from the city, but Tawas is a quick 30-40 minute drive away with a cute downtown, pier, and state park. We definitely felt rejuvenated after our stay -- thank you!!!
