Nice place to stay with plenty to see around! I worked remotely here and enjoyed the kitties daily visits on the back porch! In unit laundry was wonderful and having all the appliances I needed- kettle, microwave! Thanks for the great stay!

Gorgeous location, very cozy and comfortable. Would stay here again. Saw the most gorgeous display of northern lights which made our stay more special.

Great location that’s outside the hustle of downtown Reykjavik. Sweet neighborhood and extremely well-kept home with beautiful backyard. Highly recommend.

Great place with lovely views

Burma’s beautiful home is ideal for anyone who wants two bathrooms (hard to find in Iceland) and plenty of space. It’s in a quaint small town very close to the Golden Circle and not far from Selfoss, which has more substantial amenities. Easy drive to Gullfoss and Geysir, and a small grocery is within walking distance of the house. The views from the sunroom are beautiful. The kitchen is modern, functional, and spacious. The outdoor area, including the hot tub, is wonderful in the evening. The nearby restaurants, including those in Reykholt, are wonderful! We highly recommend this place for people who want extra space and don’t want to stay in the busy capital city. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Wirklich eine super Unterkunft! Sehr schön und privat gelegen. Das Highlight ist natürlich der Hot Pot in dem man wunderbar entspannen kann. Absolut empfehlenswert 👍🏼

We loved our stay at Arna’s place, in fact it was our favourite in all of Iceland (in our two weeks of traveling). The pictures don’t do it justice. It is a really special and lovely home with stunning surroundings. It’s so quiet, peaceful and a wonderful space to be surrounded by nature. Arna is friendly and responds quickly to any questions.

It was a great stay. The location was centrally located to the town center. We could walk to everywhere we wanted to go in the city. Parking was easy. The Airbnb was perfect. The shower was great after a long day of driving around Iceland. The bed was comfy and much needed after the long drives. We would stay here again when we return!

Benjamin's place was a lovely place to rest at north, not to far from road #1 to continue the journey.

A beautiful, peaceful setting, with stunning views. Kathrin and her husband let us know when the northern lights appeared one evening and helped us with the settings on our i-phone so we could take the best pictures. Very appreciative or their help. We highly recommend their quiet cottage.

We stayed at Anita's place for a night, and it was a lovely stay. She was responsive when we needed her help finding the place. The cabin is clean and beautiful, towels and toiletries were available as described, and there were some sporadic kitchen ingredients (I recommend bringing your own salt, oil, etc) It's situated a bit further off the town, so there was no light pollution at all. The surroundings are also beautiful and quaint, with some horses on the farm next door. Anita also has several cute, fluffy dogs that are very friendly. Furthermore, Anita actually let us know that there were northern lights just outside the cabin when we were busy preparing dinner (would have definitely missed that otherwise). When we had left, she told us promptly that we probably had missed a bag, which we did, so we managed to come back and pick it up before we drove too far. I totally recommend Anita and her cabins. If we come to Iceland again, we are thinking of coming back to stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The place is so cute and the horses are a bonus! They were so sweet! We even got to see the lights! We would definitely come back!

Our stay at Larus’ accommodation was magical. Such a beautiful and restful setting, we felt relaxed instantaneously. The space was spotless with everything considered. The hot tubs and sauna were wonderful luxuries with the verandas thoughtfully sheltered from the breeze and the kayak’s in the lake which our boys enjoyed. The communication from start to when we left was proactive and clear with Kamil kindly meeting us at the cottages to guide us to the house and show us around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

This cabin is amazing! We had such an incredible time. I highly recommend staying here. It is a very short drive to waterfalls which you can see out the back window. We truly could not have expected more. Such a beautiful experience.

Our group had an incredible stay! The location was the perfect balance of being wonderfully remote, offering peace and quiet, yet still conveniently close to several attractions. We loved coming back from a day of exploring, knowing we could unwind in such a serene setting. The property had everything we needed, including a fully equipped laundry, which made our stay so much easier. One of the highlights was being able to see the Northern Lights right from the property—an absolutely magical experience! We couldn’t have asked for a better spot and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation.

The house was great - extremely well located to see all that is available in Myvatn and well equipped. We were easily able to cook in the kitchen and although the house was small, there was plenty of room for our group of 5 (2 adults and 3 teens). Our only complaint was that the lights outside of the house couldn't be shut off. They were on a timer and stayed on from 6 pm to 6 am. They shone in all the windows all night, requiring us to use the blackout shades, and made it difficult to see and photograph the northern lights, which were fantastic while we were there. We had to go down the road to take photos. Consider this if you are looking for isolation and darkness - the home is located super close to attractions, yet far from everything, except it's own light pollution.

Ein sehr gemütliches Häuschen. Wir haben uns gleich heimisch gefühlt. An Ausstattung ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Hólmfríðurs Unterkunft liegt optimal, um die Umgebung Nordwest-Islands zu erkunden und wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Vielen Dank und vielleicht bis zum nächsten Mal :-)

Really enjoyed staying here. The place was centrally located and easy to walk to the main attractions Reykjavík has to offer. Good wifi, kitchen etc. The sofa bed was also comfortable. One recommendation would be to leave instructions on how to get the shower to a hot temp, we didn’t figure that out, but the kitchen tap was hot, so must have been user error! Thanks for having us, would recommend to a friend :)
