Great location & included parking. Newer apartment complex not far from the city. Area is still under a lot of construction but when finished it will be really beautiful. Apartment was wonderful, clean and spacious. Our family loved it! We even saw the northern lights right out our window! And you can walk around the building and see the beautiful ocean and a small black sand beach. Area felt very safe as well. Having washer and dryer was just what we needed. We also absolutely loved the food and ice cream place at the end of the street and the fact that it was open late! Thank you !

Magnea’s apartment was fantastic. Clean, comfortable, warm and very well appointed. The apartment decor is not only comfortable but so cute and thoughtful. I loved all the local touches. And the location can’t be beat!! Right across from the sea with fantastic views. Great for relaxing and watching the world go by, which was my entire agenda. I also found it easy to walk to the small grocery store for food as well as the bus stop to ride into Reykjavik - take the #55 to the #1, and then voila! Magnea was very responsive and helpful - a perfect host. I would definitely stay here again!!

We could not have asked for a better place to stay in Reykjavík! The apartment was so spacious which gave our family of four plenty of room to spread out and relax. The apartment was beautifully decorated with local art. The location was perfect as it was a very short drive or walk to downtown and easy to get to. The street it is located on is quiet. We had read other reviews that mentioned the sulfur smell with the hot water (which comes with almost all hot water in Iceland), but compared to other places we stayed in Iceland, it was hardly noticeable. We would gladly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Reykjavík!

Siggi was very friendly and helpful for our trip. The car he provided was very useful and reliable. The place was quite, clean, and warm just like home.

Dom Mattiego to świetna baza wypadowa do zwiedzania Reykjanesu (od geotermalnych okolic Gunnuhver, przez park krajobrazowy z jeziorem Kleifarvatn, Reykjavik, aż po gejzery czy wodospad Gullfoss). Blisko z lotniska (20 minut autem). Sam dom w spokojnej okolicy, bardzo duża przestrzeń, w tym 4 sypialnie, duża kuchnia i łazienka czyniły to, że jako 4-osobowa rodzina czuliśmy się bardzo komfortowo. Łatwy dostęp do kluczy mimo późnego przyjazdu, możliwość zostania nieco dłużej w dniu wyjazdu oraz szybkie odpowiedzi gospodarza - to także czynniki decydujące o naszej bardzo wysokiej ocenie. Jeśli miałbym polecić bazę noclegową w tej części Islandii, to Vogar i dom Mattiego polecam z czystym sumieniem. A przy okazji - powroty o ciemku (zima 2025) do domu Mattiego z naszych codziennych wypraw i zorze polarne widziane nie tylko w ciemnych miejscach w okolicach miasta Vogar, ale także spod domu - niezapomniane chwile dla nas wszystkich!

Sigurdur's place is an ideal location. A quick drive into the city (15 minutes), a lovely walking path, and quiet. The unit was clean, had everything we needed and private. He was very responsive to questions and met us outside as soon as we arrived.

The Converted Water Tower was beautiful and extremely fun. We had a great time seeing the northern lights and unique landscape and it was a convenient for all of our activities in the Reykjanes Peninsula and Reykjavik. The hosts were super responsive when we had a question a few weeks before our trip and again when they provided helpful check-in instructions.

A perfect place for our family of three. Removed enough from Reykavik but a great home base for all of our adventures in the area. The house and grounds are beautiful and relaxing. The host family is so nice and great for recommendations. Finding the house, parking, checking in/out was all very easy. Wish we could have stayed longer!

La sistemazione e’ stata quanto di meglio potessimo aspettarci. La casa consente di ospitare 7/8 persone in un ambiente accogliente, caldo e ben arredato, con una cucina fornitissima di tutto quello che può servire. Due bei bagni con doccia molto puliti e forniti di molti asciugamani. La titolare è stata molto premurosa nel contattarci per fornirci in anticipo tutte le indicazioni utili e molti suggerimenti su quanto poteva offrire il circondario. Selfoss e’ un’ottima base per visitare la parte sud dell’Islanda e la casa e’ in una zona tranquilla, qualche kilometro fuori città, attigua ad un allevamento di cavalli, ma allo stesso tempo molto comoda a tutti i servizi utili per gli approvvigionamenti quotidiani. L’esperienza vissuta è stata eccellente.

We traveled with an infant and since no one was using the place the day before, Hildur allowed us to come straight from our flight! It was so incredibly nice of them and my daughter appreciated the opportunity to catch up on some sleep. Overall, the place is beautiful, spacious, and had an incredible review. I’d recommend this AirBnb to anyone!

Wir, eine Gruppe von 7 Personen, durften eine ganze Woche das Club House und das umliegende Anwesen des Hvammsvik Spa genießen. Das Club House ist eines von 5 Häusern und bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten und vieles mehr! Die Lage ist unbeschreiblich, es ist einfach ein Traum! Alles war richtig sauber, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bei jedem Wetter urgemütlich. Die Schlafzimmer waren allesamt mit sehr guten Betten, Kissen und Bademänteln ausgestattet. Die Bäder sehr sauber und mit allem Zubehör bestückt (Handtücher, Toilettenpapier, Body wash, Shampoo etc.) Am Morgen ist der Blick aus dem Fenster einfach wunderbar und am Abend tanzen die Nordlichter am Himmel! Noch nie haben wir so tolle Nordlichter gesehen. Das Hvammsvik Spa ist unweit vom Haus entfernt und es ist ein Juwel. Mein Mann und ich waren zum 19. mal in Island, lieben dieses wunderschöne Land und haben stets tolle Unterkünfte bewohnt… aber dieser Ort, dieses Club House ist etwas ganz besonderes. 💙❤️

Our family of 6 stayed for a week of sightseeing. This was the perfect home base! The view is breathtaking inside and out of this amazing Art House! It was an easy walk to restaurants and the local shops. We utilized Michelle’s extensive list of suggestions for touring the area and we were not disappointed. It was hard to say goodbye and we hope to return one day. Thank you Michelle for everything!

We stayed wishing to catch the Northern Lights and we were lucky enough to do so each night and be there for a huge solar storm. We ventured out the first night and after that realized we were able to stay comfy at our airbnb and see them both in the front yard and backyard. The house was spacious and our children 7 & 1 loved the books and toys available. We were offered a portable crib and high chair which were convenient. There were plenty of novels for adults and a variety of books on Iceland. There is a washer and large drying rack, dishwasher, and full kitchen which was wonderful since it is a serene spot you can relax and not run down the road 15 minutes for food or coffee. I enjoyed walking the road to the church and admiring the horses next door. The location is remote and going to parks or the city required an hour drive. Our host was gracious and extended our check out which was helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The place is so cute and the horses are a bonus! They were so sweet! We even got to see the lights! We would definitely come back!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit Blick direkt auf die Bucht. Die Wohnung hat alles, was man für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt benötigt, man kann es auch für länger aushalten. Da wir ein Auto hatten, kamen wir auch schnell überall hin, die öffentliche Erreichbarkeit können wir nicht beurteilen. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen.

Beautiful condo, conveniently located on the edge of the city. Nice hot tub and easy to park, get to grocery store, etc. 15 minute drive into the heart of Reykjavik. Very clean and spacious.

The Harbor Apartment was perfect to visit Reykjavik. It’s clean, comfortably furnished, nicely decorated, and wonderfully warm and inviting on a cold January visit to Iceland. The location was unbeatable, just across the street from the scenic old harbor and near plenty of excellent restaurants and steps from a small market for your daily needs. The host provided voluminous tips on getting around and responded quickly with a work-around when we discovered that the Internet network listed in the check-in instructions was down. We would definitely stay here again. Just one small caveat for light sleepers—the bedroom window is located next to the ground floor elevator and you can occasionally hear the voices of people coming and going, or stomping the snow off their shoes before they get in the elevator.

Wir könnten nicht glücklicher sein. Es war für uns der letzte Stopp unserer Winterreise und die Gemütlichkeit der Unterkunft hätte uns fast nicht mehr nach Hause fliegen lassen. Die Wohnung ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos und das einfache Leben durch die unmengen an Gewürzen, Tees, Kaffee hat das entspannte Erlebnis abgerundet. Man sollte keine Schwierigkeiten mit (wenn auch kurzen) steilen Treppen haben. Für uns eine ganz klare 10/10! Wir kommen gerne wieder, sollten wir nochmal nach Island reisen. Vielen Lieben Dank für Alles und die tolle Kommunikation!

What an absolutely wonderful Airbnb experience. The apartment was beautiful and super-clean, and the view was stunning! We loved looking out the window at the ocean in the evenings, and we took a lovely walk along the seafront one morning. We took day trips to the Golden Circle and the Snaefellsnes peninsula, and we were an easy drive from Reykjavik. Best of all, Salvor Lilja and her husband were amazing hosts. We enjoyed a sunset soak in the hot tub, and they very kindly provided a selection of beverages and Icelandic treats. They also very thoughtfully left the apartment stocked with amenities like coffee, tea, milk, beer, wine and chocolates. We would highly recommend to anyone!

Unnur’s place was absolutely spectacular, and she was an exceptional communicator. She went out of her way to ensure I had everything I needed, including a charging adapter upon arrival and extra towels for my comfort. Her communication was truly outstanding.
