Located on Portage Lake in Chassell, MI, near Houghton with quick access to Michigan Tech University, this rustic family cabin is a great place for either an overnight stay or a longer getaway. It provides a great home base for travel in the Keweenaw peninsula! As a 1930s cabin with a sauna on the lake along with a great view, the focus is on the experience! We find guests who truly enjoy our place are flexible with rustic conditions (not looking for Holiday Inn Express) and young at heart!

Wrap around porch offers water view with amazing sunrise and sunset views. Great views from every window in the house. Gourmet kitchen, flat screen TVs in main living area and bedrooms, large dining area, pool table, 2 gar attached garage, large manicured yard. Snowmobile trail access is 100’ away!!

Small oven fits 12-in pizza. Keurig coffee maker, K-Cups provided. 2 burner hot plate. 3/4 bathroom. Pull down FULL size (NOT Queen) Murphy bed with attached table when up. Pots, pans, silverware, dishes and cups provided. Good drinking water from faucet. Bed linens and towels provided. Wi-Fi and smart TV. NO TV carrier.

Take a refreshing respite in the quiet or experience the bustle of historic downtown Calumet from our 500 sqft guest apartment. This studio apartment is lofted above the detached garage with a private entrance. Within walking distance of bars, restaurants, coffeehouses, bakeries, and local ski and snowmobile trails our guest home is a perfect place to explore all the Keweenaw peninsula has to offer. Guests have 24/7 access to the host, when necessary, as I live in the detached main house.

2 story apartment - country feel, city convenience

Newly remodeled, two-story attached apartment with private entrance and ~1,000 sq ft of space. Sauna. Two Queen beds with top quality mattresses and bedding. Plenty of parking. Cap at 4 adults, but beds for kids available on request. Internet TV only. Overall, it's very quiet, but we have two young children, and you will likely hear them between 7 am and 8 pm. There is a spiral staircase to get to the lower level, so this is not ideal for folks with mobility limitations.

Hancock Old Mining House (Duplex)

Upstairs half of duplex in Hancock. This mining era house was converted to a duplex somewhere along the way. The living space is completely private but there is a shared entrance with the lower unit on the front porch. Our co-host Shelby lives in the lower unit. This Airbnb listing not a luxury rental It's an old but clean, functional apartment that is ideal for one to two quiet guests. We purchased house in 2021 and lived in the lower unit until March of 2024.

This studio space is all fresh and new, located in west Hancock. Parking is easily accessible with a ground floor entryway. Downtown Hancock and Houghton are just minutes away. Located near the Hancock beach. If you aren't a camper but enjoy the day activities come and stay with all the luxuries of home. Studio size kitchen and a king size bed. We just added a heater/ air conditioner that is adjustable by the guest. The feedback has been great!

Perfect location to enjoy Downtown Houghton! Located on Lakeshore Drive is this newly remodeled apartment perfect for 2 guests! Walking distance to all businesses on Sheldon Ave! Across the parking lot is the Houghton waterfront walk/bike path. Take a moment and enjoy the views of the canal and the Portage Lift bridge. Parking available for 1 vehicle only. 1 bedroom with pull out bed/couch in living room.

The Retro Roost: Walk to MTU and Downtown Houghton

- Walking distance to MTU campus, Jim's grocery store, downtown Houghton, and 20 miles of ski/bike/hike trails - Retro, cozy and private one-bed/bath unit with a kitchenette and attached garage Park in the garage and walk directly into the unit! Hosts Adam and Jana live upstairs with their family and dogs. There is a cot, and a fold out couch in addition to a queen size bed, for extra sleepers, if needed.
