Rest S’More was absolutely the perfect destination for our family christmas vacation! We were looking for a place nearby our extended family who live in Golden Valley, and this was only a 10-min drive from their farm. The house was wonderfully stocked with anything we could need— extra linens, pillows, toothbrush, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and cooking essentials. Our two dogs enjoyed the back porch and private yard/driveway. And the views were stunning. 5 stars to these hosts!

We had a great time and this place was perfw t for our needs. Look forward to staying again. I would, however, place orange cones or some other safety device over the horseshoe stakes as they could be dangerous with children or pets running around or even being out in the evening.

Jonathan is a great host! He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — he even left some duck eggs in the fridge for us. The house is beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend!

I would book at the Little Cabin a thousand times. Not only was the place beautiful and felt like home, but Ms. Shannon was so sweet! Anything I could have wanted their for my honeymoon was already in place. We was late getting there due to storms and life happening, so she even put a pizza in there just in case we got hungry! You can tell she genuinely cares about people. Book with her and you definitely won't regret it!

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Roho's cabin is set in a beautiful area with the creek below. The cabin itself was so comfy and cozy. While being off the beaten path, the cabin had everything you needed and all the creature comfort details were thought of. The wood burning hot tub was a true delight. Truly such a lovely place. April was an amazing host. Great communication, very friendly and she also sent tons of recommendations for things to do in the area, although I didn't want to leave the cabin 😂 I can't wait to come back and visit again.

Simply put it was awesome. Small things add up. S’mores the record player good pans. The entire family enjoyed this place. The lake in the back private and nice walking trail is great. Too much to list of how great it is. Hot tub was great. Each level of the house has a bath room. The scents throughout the house was a good touch. The community is really nice was able to canoe and fish. The food she recommended was awesome good touch of home at countryside BBQ. If you are looking to relax and distress this is it. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. Memories for a lifetime.

Relaxed the moment I pulled up! Very welcoming, clean, and comfortable! Spacious and very well appointed! We had everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Sure hope to visit again.

Great cabin, very close to many of the big hikes on the Eastern rim of the Linville Gorge. House was very clean, comfortable, and decorated with lots of cool art. Good books and games too. Kitchen was well equipped. Wi-Fi was good. The cleaning fee was steep, nearly $200, especially considering the very detailed check-out instructions. All in all, a really pleasant place to stay.

Was in town for work and tired of hotels. Decided to find a place with surroundings that would offset the pressure of work and feed the soul a little. This gave me that!

We found this property so well appointed with all of the necessary items we might have lacked. Because of its location and the possibility of being stranded due to in-climate weather, Jason has stocked many items of which a person might need in the event they didn’t bring enough supplies for a few days. We looked at the food items that are stored as being a backup in the event we were stranded for a few days. Fortunately, for us, we over supply ourselves because other properties we have utilized were completely less supplied. We found that all the bases were covered for food, spices, dishes, snacks, as well as things like the barbecue grill and outdoor fire pit. We were very impressed with how the house was supplied and set up for a renter. It was almost like we walked into our own home with supplies existing. We were glad to have this wonderful experience, and would consider it in the future again.

This was our second trip to Christy’s place. That should tell you everything you need to know. It is super clean. Beautiful and remote but all the comforts of home. Great property!

We had a fabulous time on the lake. We will definitely have to stay longer next time.

Mo and I had THE BEST TIME at the Boho Hideaway. (We call is the Moho Hideaway.) The notes, amenities, communication…everything was perfect. You can’t find a better host or cabin in Newton, NC! Lots of outdoor spaces to utilize, books, fireplace, cozy blankets, bath tub and so much more. Can’t wait to visit again. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I stayed with my three kids aged 4, 8, and 11. There was plenty of space for a comfortable stay. We had dinner on the back porch listening to the sounds of the water. The space provided everything for a relaxing stay and we all really enjoyed exploring down by the river. Would love to come back someday!

We loved our stay here. The place was just as described but the pictures did not do it justice. The surroundings were beautiful and it was so peaceful. My husband had a blast fishing from the pond almost everyday after work. We are hoping we are working in this area again soon and hope this place is available when that time comes. Thank you for a great week!

My daughter’s HS Softball team travelled from Ohio to play in an Easter tournament in Hickory. We didn’t want to stay in a hotel like the team and were lucky to book the cabin for most of the week! We felt very prepared for the drive down the narrow road thanks to detailed messages and pictures that were sent days in advance. Once to the cabin, we didn’t want to leave merely because it was perfect. Had everything we needed and provided a wonderful resting place for fishing (although there were more snags than bites) and porch time reading. Loved how easy it was to get into Hickory and got to experience some amazing restaurants (Olde Hickory Station and Hickory Social) as well as time on The Riverwalk and enjoying Union Square when we weren’t at the fields of Stanford Park. If we ever head south again, this will definitely be a place we’d come back to.

Alicia & John were lovely hosts. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking meals. There were extra towels & washcloths for our family of five. Lots of great info in their guest binder. Covered pier was an amazing place to spend mornings & evenings. Thanks for a fabulous stay!

Mike’s place was amazing. We were in for a BBQ Festival and everything was perfect for our group. The driveway had plenty of room for all of our grills and vehicles. There was plenty of room for our group. Everything was clean and in order upon arrival. The bathrooms were well stocked. The kitchen was spacious and gave plenty of working counter space. There was also plenty of lighting throughout the house around both sets of stairs. Mike was clear on check in and checkout instructions and we had no issues with either. We will definitely stay again when we’re bringing the group.

District 12B cabin was beautiful. Smelled so nice and clean since the moment we stepped in. Was so cute and cozy. We watched The Hunger Games and enjoyed every second of our stay. Would love to come back another time. Overall it’s a great place to relax and enjoy with friends.

This was a great place to relax and have a peace of mind. It was clean, comfortable and well worth the stay. The area was quiet and peaceful. The host and co host were amazing.

So quiet and relaxing! And the house had everything you would need, the host even let me call her so she could explain the tv/projector! Loved the place!

Excellent! Great host. Responsive and easy. We loved the history of the home and wood burning stove. Comfortable beds. We ate in and enjoyed the table, looking at the beautiful views. The kids loved the hammock and tv downstairs, giving the adults quiet time by the fire upstairs. Great getaway!

Stayed here with members of our bridal party! Deck and fire pit were a great touch, inside and outside of the house were so beautiful and kept up with super well. Construction was on the dock but Glenn communicated ahead of time to let us know!!! Beautiful space, and we had a wonderful time!!! Would stay here again.
