Rebecca was a wonderful host! She was incredibly friendly and helpful with anything we needed. I fully recommend her and her property for anyone traveling through the area! The home is beautiful, private, and just perfect for us!

We had an amazing time at Raum's Hollow for our 2 families. The kitchen was well-stocked and the lake was such a hit for our tweens and teens - they loved kayaking, there's a hill to fly kites, and it's quiet and peaceful. A great getaway close to great hikes.

Beautiful up-to-date modern farmhouse in a quiet idyllic setting. Perfect spot for a relaxing, stress-free stay. Our hostess was always responsive to Amy questions or needs. Highly recommend!

The perfect place to stay for a Garden of the Gods trip! Alice was so welcoming and really thought ahead with both the tea/coffee station and a blanket for my dog to sleep on the bed. Also a great place for post-hike naps 😅. Thank you Alice for sharing your home with my dog and I!

A cozy little home

this was a beautiful place to stay off the beaten path, definitely a diamond in the rough. The view on the back deck was amazing and we caught a huge thunderstorm that was awesome to watch. The only one negative thing I would say, is the beds were a little uncomfortable. Thank you so much, Matt! we are definitely thinking about bringing a large group out here to stay.

This was a short stay with the family while my son turkey hunted. The home was clean,comfortable and homey. Very peaceful area. Fenced area for our dog. Shawnee Nationalforest with hiking trails, Garden of the Gods, fishing, Cave in Rock. Hope to stay here again.

We had a great time! My kids and our dog enjoyed the large, open yard. The fire pit was great for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows for s’mores. We would like to go back at some point and would definitely stay here again if we get the opportunity.

We had an amazing time. The tiny home was perfect. Had everything we needed. We went on walks outside and felt very safe and comfortable. It was relaxing watching the barges go down the river just outside the front door. The Mercantile was a cute shop and it’s directly next door. Great coffee and Lotus drinks and ice cream. We even bought some locally raised meat that we grilled at the home. Host was very accommodating, prompt, and friendly! We will definitely stay here again!

Eric and Tyra's place was very warm and homie. We love that everyone could hang out in the living room and talk. We also played cards at the dinning room table. Tyra checked with us several times while we were staying there to make sure everything was good. We really enjoyed our stay.

This space was great! it's listed as a "tiny home" but it does not feel like a tiny home at all. There is plenty of space, an extremely comfortable couch and chair in the main living space, a fully functional kitchen, a decent sized bedroom, and a large bathroom. It is beautiful on the inside and you can tell they spent a lot of money and time putting it together. THE OUTSIDE is the real draw here. A charming fire pit area that has a walkway leading to it directly behind the house. Off to the side is a fenced in private hot tub deck. It is perfect. It is right off the main road, but tucked far enough back that it is very secluded with tons of privacy. The hosts were so helpful, easy to work with, kind, and even had a welcome snack waiting when I walked in. I highly recommend this space!

Shawnee Forest Cabins were a great place to stay after hiking the area all day. The cabin was cozy, easy to find, and very clean upon our arrival. The hosts were very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. If you utilize the hot tub, make sure you look up and appreciate all the stars!!!

We needed a place to get away and do some soul searching. Steve's place was perfect. It's so peaceful and quiet. We had the best time. Caught some fish and had a great time in the hot tub. Steve and his wife were great company while we were chatting at the winery and gave great recommendations on places to visit. We also had plenty on privacy when we needed it. We will definitely be going back when headed back to that area to explore.
