Our stay at Vivian's beautiful lake house was a long series of pleasant surprises. Where most airbnb's have the bare minimum of cooking supplies, her kitchen was fully stocked, with every appliance and spice you'd need for home cooking right at hand. The beds were comfortable, the sheets spotless, the bathrooms were pristine, and the whole house had a clean and welcoming feel that only comes from dedicated work. The lake equipment was extensive, and allowed us to make many treasured memories out on the water. And to top it all off, she left a platter of homemade chocolate chip cookies on the counter as a welcoming gift. We would happily stay here again, I can't emphasize enough how well kept this house is.

We couldn’t have asked for a better week at this house! The house was perfect, right on the lake and easy to find. It was clean and had everything we needed. The pedal boat was a huge hit with the kids, and the view of the lake from inside the home was so peaceful. We definitely recommend this house when visiting Michigan. It was a short drive to Ann Arbor and Brooklyn was a nice town to explore as well. We would definitely stay again!

My family and I really enjoyed staying at Colleen’s place. It was clean, everything was as described, and the view of the lake is wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

Daniel’s communication was excellent. The check in and check out proses was clearly explained and an easy process. The lake is beautiful. It was cold during our visit so we didn’t get to utilize the outside area, but I can see how amazing and fun it could be. The location is great with restaurants and grocery stores all within a few miles. And easy and close access to the express way. The place was clean and cozy. It was perfect for what we needed it for. Lori and her husband Rick were fabulous, My friends and I absolutely loved them! We highly recommend this cute cottage by the lake. The house smelled amazing! No chemicals just a wonderful beautiful scent that made me smile. The warm fire roaring at night while drinking a cup of hot tea and the beautiful view of the lake was a wonderful way to start my healing journey. Everything is neat and labeled for you and she goes above and beyond to really make sure that you are happy. We had quite the snow storm while hunkered in and Rick cleared the walkway, drive way and stopped in to get our trash. They live right next door which was great incase we needed anything but still had complete privacy :) Location is great and you’re not far from stores, restaraunt, etc. I highly recommend, you will feel like you are visiting family.

We wanted a peaceful, relaxing and fun Fall getaway and that’s exactly what we got! The Cottage was everything we asked for- simple and cozy! The sunrise over the lake was gorgeous, coffee on deck started the days nicely and warm fires ended the nights!

The home and location were absolutely perfect! Everything was exactly as listed and was so beautiful and homey. I just wish the weather had been a bit warmer to fully enjoy the outdoor seating and activities. I highly recommend and hope to visit again. Thanks so much!

My sister and I had a peaceful long weekend at Fish Tales. It was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake. It was fun to take the kayaks out and just RELAX. The cottage was a short drive to the swim race location at Half Moon lake that we were visiting for. If you are looking for a peaceful spot with beautiful views this is for you,

My brothers and I with our significant others always get together for a weekend at the Renaissance Festival in Holly and this was literally the perfect cabin for us - close enough that we could go to and from if we needed a break during our long days at the Faire and peaceful enough at night to come back to and relax or play games like we love to do together. Plenty of space that we could all have beds and felt cozy. The lake is beautiful this time of year and even was warm enough that we could have swam after if we wanted or weren’t warn out from our long days. Parking was easy to figure out even with four vehicles. Host was responsive and super helpful and even allowed us to check in early when we realized that we would rather all drive in together last second. (Whoops! Poor planning on my part.) There was even provided water which was lovely as well, and a really nice touch when it comes to well water! Thank you so much and we will be back!

Our stay was wonderful! I stayed at the cabin for the weekend with friends. We were competing in a horse show in the area and were gone most of the day but I wish we had more time to spend at the campground. The area was beautiful and peaceful by a lake. I would have loved to just spend the entire weekend there and hope to go back with family in the future. There was a lot to do with great amenities. You could go out on the lake with paddle boats or go hiking. The cabin that we stayed in was a good size for four people. We had a great time and would recommend.

Pulling up my husband was a little like ummm… because the house is in an area where I would assume revitalization is happening. You can tell that they are starting to fix up the neighborhood house by house. We had absolutely no problems and felt safe n comfortable during our stay. We LOVED the boathouse and how it was decorated. You are literally the only boathouse in the canal and it was so cool to just sit out on the deck. We will for sure be going back during warmer weather to be able to experience taking the kayaks out, sitting by the fire and some more relaxing.

The home is nestled in a beautiful forested area, surrounded by tall trees and the sound of birds in every direction — it felt like our own peaceful retreat in nature. The lake view was stunning, and we loved spending mornings sipping coffee on the porch while soaking it all in. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and very family-friendly, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. Whether we were gathered around the firepit, cooking meals together, or just relaxing with a good book, it was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect. Our host was fantastic — incredibly responsive, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Overall, a truly special spot for nature lovers and families looking for fun, relaxation, and beautiful scenery. We can’t wait to come back!
