What a wonderful place to relax! Everything was perfect, from the fully stocked kitchen to the comfy patio lounge chairs & bed, the fire pit with lots of wood all chopped & ready to go and best of all the hot tub! Bonus was the visiting deer which were fun to feed using the supplied apples! Highly recommend this secluded cottage on the river if you’re looking for a quiet getaway! The cottage was exactly as described in the listing! We booked this cottage because it was so close to our daughter’s wedding but it ended up being a mini vacation as well! Thank you!

Everything that you could have possibly needed was available. Close to a small little town that had restaurants, grocery store etc. The views in and around the cottage were spectacular

We absolutely loved our stay over Easter weekend! Scott was very friendly and easy to connect with! It was a weekend of relaxation and connecting with nature! The hot tub was a great addition. Also the gorgeous wood work!! Also the sunrises from the loft were incredible!! We will definitely be coming back!

Lina’s place is extraordinary. So quiet and peaceful a great getaway from the city. Lina’s place had everything we could need for weekend away- they even had robes for after the hot tub! The king bed was super comfy! We will be back.

Great spot to visit for a weekend getaway! Even though the cabin is attached to their house, the hosts made us feel secluded and welcome.

My boyfriend and I booked Katie’s place for our anniversary trip. We wanted a cozy getaway spot that was private, secluded, and quaint and that’s exactly what we got! The entire cabin and hot tub were very clean, the property was beautiful, it was private, and we felt right at home! Katie was very sweet and responsive and made sure we had everything we needed! If you’re looking for a spot with lots of activities and places to go, it may not be the spot for you (we did eat at the Slippery Oyster and explored the bridge) but if you’re looking for a place to get away from the reality, this is perfect! We both really enjoyed and would definitely return!

We had such a wonderful stay! The space was clean, comfortable, and peaceful..exactly what we needed to break up our East Coast camping adventure. It was the perfect place to enjoy a hot shower, relax in the hot tub, and get a great night’s sleep in a cozy bed. Although it was technically a shared space, it never felt that way..the hosts truly made us feel at home, giving us full access to the kitchen and other spaces. They were warm, welcoming, and offered great suggestions for places to explore along our travels. They even left treats for us and our dogs, which was such a thoughtful gesture. If you stay here, make sure to catch the sunrise from the front porch! It’s absolutely beautiful.! We would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful and friendly place to rest!

It was a special stay at Porters Peak! The surrounding nature was beautiful and so peaceful and quiet. A perfect place for outdoor lovers! We were lucky to have two sunny fall days and were even able to use the paddleboards at the lake. The site is still under development (for example there is no running water yet) which was totally okay for us because we love the minimalist off-grid style, but we found out through the comments of other visitors, not through the host. And it would be helpful to mention that a steep gravel road is leading to the cabins, so not possible with every car and every weather condition. It was nice that when we had a problem with the propane fireplace, someone came directly in the morning to fix it. Still a lovely place and a cool project! Would recommend and visit again!

Wow, what can I say. Edwina's place was spectacular. Even better than photos. View from front porch was breathtaking. Cabin was so cute and cozy. Had everything we needed. Wished we had planned to stay an extra day. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

Took an impromptu trip to NS for the weekend and lucked out with a vacancy at the Lakeside Lookout cabin. Very quiet, peaceful and serene surroundings made our stay more than enjoyable, topped off with a clean and welcoming cabin. Interested to see all the other things that they will build and do with this property. Will return in the future for sure.

Our family had a great few days on this beautiful property. It had everything we needed to make our eggs and bacon breakfasts and spaghetti and barbecue dinners . Lots of room for our5 kids to lounge by the fire and watch movies downstairs while the adults were relaxing upstairsThe linens were great made everyone feel so cozy beds were comfy and we really appreciated lots of fresh towels . The frozen lake on the property was beautiful to look at and sit by ,enjoying our coffee or wine .we called it glamping but it was much more with the updated amenities . Kids loved being outside and we all enjoyed the peacefulness

Beautiful little cabin in a beautiful location! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Jordan was quick to respond to anything we needed and explained everything we needed to know ahead of time. We had an issue with the fridge but Jordan addressed it quickly for us which we really appreciated. The cabin was very cozy and clean, a great value for the price. I look forward to returning when I’m back in Nova Scotia again!

The property is beautifully located, only a short drive away from Lawrencetown Beach. Deedee and Jeremy were kind and helpful. I strongly recommend!
