Lovely property which was quiet and secluded. Facilities and aircon excellent also. If I have any criticism there could have been better communication re fixtures and appliances, bins, recycling, etc. The instruction to access the keys was excellent though not all of us are familiar with electronic gates! The water pressure is not great for showering despite taking it in turns and the toaster tripped the fuse to the whole kitchen on arrival which was interesting trying to find the fuse board to put it right though Rodrigo did respond to our call quickly. On balance a lovely place and would consider visiting again.

As a family with a lot of teens, I loved how many spaces this house had for hanging out. Also, having so many rooms with two single beds instead of shared beds is so nice when you have a lot of teens along. The outdoor spaces are so beautiful and peaceful and the yard is full of plants and flowers. We enjoyed the ease to reach Guimarães. We would happily return to this lovely home.

We had a lovely weeks stay at Casa da Horta. The pool and views from the pool area were amazing and the children enjoyed playing on the trampoline and exploring the grounds. The apartment itself was really well furnished and clean and we all loved the large shower. The position of the apartment at the top of the site meant it wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with mobility issues (as per Vania’s description) but for us it just meant that we walked off some the pastel de natas and we appreciated the particularly good views from our patio area. Guimaraes was only 12 mins drive away with its pretty historic town and Porto was an hour and ten minutes on the train (with one train every hour) and cost us around 22 euros return for the whole family. We also went on the cable cars at Guimaraes and the Funicular at Braga, both of which our children really enjoyed. We had a lovely holiday and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the apartments to anyone considering a holiday in the area.

My family and I - the five of us, enjoyed staying at José’s beautiful villa surrounded by historical & lavish gardens. José’s assistant Hugo welcomed us with Porto wine which was very nice. Every morning we found fresh, delicious baguettes and croissants on the front door. It was a very nice gesture. Our place was very clean and tastefully decorated. The mattresses are very comfortable. The nice swimming pool is surrounded with exotic trees and plants. Thank you José and Hugo for your hospitality !

Maison très propre avec tous les équipements nécessaires dans un endroit calme . Nous avons passés un excellent séjour.

La estancia ha sido perfecta. La casa preciosa y muy acogedora en un entorno muy bonito y muy tranquilo.Vania es una anfitriona maravillosa. Muy atenta; cada mañana dejaba pan fresco en la puerta de casa. Mis hijas y mi marido disfrutaron de la piscina. Un fin de semana fantástico. Seguro que repetiremos .

prachtige accommodatie, alles nieuw en super de luxe. mooie tuin met zwembad, ligbedden, barretje, bbq ruimte, volleybalveld waar je gebruik van mag maken. ook staan er skelters,fietsen, pingpongtafel etc waar je gebruikt van kan maken. Aldi is om de hoek. De eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam en staat open voor suggestie. Klein paradijs dicht bij Guimaraes en Braga. voor herhaling vatbaar.

Ongelooflijk mooi huis. Mooie locatie, perfecte voorzieningen, alles was aanwezig. Zou het aan iedereen aanraden.

Fantastic accommodation. Beautiful gardens, pool and house. Marcus is a very good host, and looked after us so well - bringing us little gifts like fresh orange juice just made the experience so much better. One of our children really wanted to keep a huge lemon he’d found in the garden but we told him he would have to ask. Instead of just saying no, or yes, Marcus said “sure, but why don’t we make some lemonade together!”. Just so thoughtful and kind. The house is very well equipped and beautifully furnished. Lots of attention to detail. Pool is very large and everything is perfectly clean. Marcus and Rick really did go out of their way to ensure our stay was successful without ever being intrusive, so please don’t hesitate to book!

Daniel and Katrina are already good friends. They are good people, easy to communicate and very helpful. They were impeccable in welcoming my family into their home. I highly recommend them!

Best Airbnb hostess and house I’ve had so far! We loved the house and space and Maria was amazing with helping us arranging my mom’s 70 birthday with cake and fado concert.

Absolutely beautiful venue!! There are no words. Communication beforehand was fab. Antonio was really helpful and booked us a sunrise yoga session for the day we left. He was responsive to questions & made sure everything was organised for us so that we could have the best time! Maria did the most amazing breakfast for us everyday. She even made sure I had a special gluten free basket of goodies! The venue was clean & had everything we needed. It wasn’t the greatest weather but Maria came in & put the log fire on for us, which was sooo cosy! Wish we could have stayed longer but had to get back for work. Thank you so much for making my friend’s celebratory weekend the BEST!!

A great place for a big family looking for peaceful surroundings and beautiful scenery. On rainy days the the ground floor with all the facilities were a great asset for the younger generation

We came to Church house in Moreira do Castelo, August 2024 with my wife & three teenage children. It is situated opposite a newish village square, carpark and 1960's Church, with spectacular views across the mountainous countryside looking towards Amarante, (a beautiful town), only 15mins away by car. In the village itself, there is Cinza's bar, a couple of small independently owned bars/shops nearby, but we found it easier to stock up on groceries at Pingo Doce in Amarante itself, (only 12 mins away). Great amenities at the house, swimming pool, bbq, pool room, tennis court etc., with a great deal of local charm the way the circa 1883 house has been rebuilt. It was v. hot whilst we were there (upper 30's), but with the shutters and mountain breezes we still found it very enjoyable. Within the village square, there is a football pitch, a kiosk which sells beers most evenings, where the locals gather. Conversations can be heard until gone midnight. Church bell strikes at 7am.

A casa é incrível e equipada com todas as comodidades para um grupo grande. O espaço exterior tem vistas lindas e apesar da piscina ser partilhada com a casa T1 ao lado, correu tudo bem, o espaço é suficientemente grande para estarem grupos separados.

Maria est une personne extrêmement agréable, qui communique très bien et vite, tres reactive aux demandes. La maison était impeccable. tout était nikel. je recommande à 100%.

The house itself is beautiful and full of many treasures. Fatima has created a very special space. Lots to do in the area. Fatima was very helpful and gave us great recommendations etc. A very positive experience for us.

Nous avons passé une semaine dans cette maison typique portugaise. 4 couples entre de 25 à 30 ans. Cette location à, de loin, dépassée nos attentes. imaginez-vous vous retrouver dans une maison avec de beaux espaces, entourée d'orangers, de vignes, d’eucalyptus et d'une nature magnifique. Le tout entretenue à la perfection. la piscine est de taille parfaite, un filet pour volet ou badminton est disponible, un billard, un barbecue format familiale. Cerise sur le gâteau, nous avions un bar à notre disposition dans la salle télé (frigo + machine à glaçons). les voisins sont trop loin pour être dérangés. Cette villa sera parfaite pour une semaine / 15 jours avec vos amis avec ou sans enfant. nous reviendrons certainement dans ce lieu magnifique ! Aymeric

Todo perfecto, el alojamiento es tal y como se muestra en las fotos. Es una casa muy comoda en una zona muy tranquila y agradable, ideal para un viaje en familia. Angelo estuvo muy pendiente de que todo estuviera funcionando bien y fue muy amable en todo momento.

Os anfitriões sempre muito atenciosos e simpáticos. A casa ultrapassou as expectativas. É muito mais bonita e acolhedora do que aquilo que mostra. Enfim, sentimo-nos em casa.
