My family (2 adults & 2 children) took out a few days in Tryon for Spring break (March 2025). Firstly, the location and home were exactly as shown online. The location is extremely private and there was no wear and tear which made all of us feel like we were home from home. The bedrooms (3 in total) were large and spacious, the kitchen well stocked with basic sundries which allowed us to cook every night. Spending time together with breathtaking views was icing on the cake. The winner was the games room in the basement which we spent numerous hours at - pool table, giant Jenga, card game etc. Off the games room was a lovely hot tub which overlooked the mountains which was thoroughly used by all of us. Peter was extremely responsive to questions and super helpful which made us feel extremely looked after. I would highly recommend this location and I am sure we will be back again!

Chris was a super host ! Super responsive and you can tell he cares that his guests feel comfortable and supportive. The lake house was just wanted I needed to relax and recharge. I will be returning! Thanks Chris !

I didn't personally stay at Ruth's place, but I booked a reservation at her place for my team of guys who were in this area for business, and they just LOVED her place and set up. They wished that they could have stayed there longer. They really enjoyed fishing off her docks.

Another fantastic stay! The home is so comfortable, clean, and inviting. We loved walking the grounds and sitting on the front porch with our morning coffee. The home is well stocked with everything we could have needed during our stay. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we hope to be back again next year!

We enjoyed our 1 & 1/2 month stay at this lakefront cottage. We kept our grandkids and they loved it. It was a great neighborhood for walking. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The screened porch was a plus! We were close to Greenville, and Hendersonville where our family lives. Pamela is an outstanding host. The home is even nicer than what the pictures show. The kitchen is fully outfitted with everything you need. We were easily able to host a wonderful Christmas dinner for our children and grandchildren. Pamela knew we were coming to have an early Christmas with our family in South Carolina and the home was completely decorate for the holidays including a fantastick Christmas tree. We will definitely be back at this location in the spring on our next trip.

Once again, more than met our expectations! From the location, to the welcome snacks, the cozy blankets, all way to the amazing shower.....this place is AMAZING!

Great stay at this Airbnb. The place was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. The host was responsive and helpful throughout. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to others and would be happy to stay again.

Melodie's place is a slice of heaven if you're looking for a peaceful hobby farm retreat. Around every corner were new discoveries whether the beauty of the landscape or the animals in their various living spaces around the property (horses, cows, chickens, couple friendly cats, and sweet welcoming dog Shelby). If you have time for a walk to the woods you'll be treated to a bubbling brook w a bench beside it for some contemplative time, not to mention flowers to gaze at all along way. We hadn't really been aware of the sauna (maybe it's in the listing and we missed it) but it's an incredible treat if you can find time one evening to check it out. There's even more than the exterior beauty and sauna treat, but I'll let you discover some surprises on your own. Ideally, you'll spend several days so you can take it all in. Melodie's family incl husband + kids were so nice + made us feel at home. Our stay was A+++ and we hope to return. Worth driving a little farther for this GEM.

Nice spot, great view of lake, very nice clean park right across street. Was exactly what I was needing.

Heron's Roost is a lovely lakeside getaway on beautiful grounds. San and Karl greeted us upon arrival and made sure we knew where everything was for our outdoor adventures. Inside, we found the basement apartment immaculate and having a wonderful vintage vibe. Three sliding doors provide a full view of the outdoor beauty. San and Karl put some breakfast items in the fridge for us as well as a bottle of milk and instant oatmeal. We always appreciate this kind of thoughtfulness. The large built-in bookshelves hold an extensive and eclectic library along with the coolest Dart Board I've ever seen. We enjoyed fishing off the private dock in early mornings and evenings. We easily caught Blue Gill, Brim, Smallmouth Bass, and Catfish (bring worms). And, of course, we played Darts well after bedtime. We never turned on the TV. San and Karl are lovely, interesting, and respectful hosts. We hope to stay here and spend time with them again.

The cabin is beautiful and peaceful which is what our family was looking for. We enjoyed all of the amenities, and the kindness Michelle showed our family. It was clean and offered everything you needed to cook and enjoy your surroundings, even a BBQ and smoker. The beds were comfortable, and linens were good quality. Lots of extra towels if necessary. Thank you, Michelle. We enjoyed your lovely cabin in the woods.

Wonderful cabin nestled in the woods. You feel secluded but aren’t far away from Hendersonville or local things to do. The cabin was great—clean, had everything we needed, and the extra touches that make it feel like home. My dog loved the huge property and I loved that it was fenced in and safe so he could run around off leash. Brian and Michele were lovely and made check in and check out easy (no crazy list of things to do when checking out like a lot of airbnbs!). Will definitely be staying here again when I’m back in the area!

If you want a peaceful, private place, this is it. The lake is beautiful, the setting wonderful. We loved it. Our son lives a few miles away so it was convenient. A large public park is right across the road with a variety of impressive playgrounds, walking paths, ball parks and more. We were there a lot with our great grandsons. There was a bit of confusion when we first tried to find it because there are 2 driveways with the same lot number. After the initial panic we found it and it was exactly as described. We hope to be back once or twice a year. This will be our number one choice from now on. Thank you for everything.

This is the second trip we have made to this location over the last couple years. The location right on Lake Bowen and the large screened porch make for a very peaceful and relaxing vacation! Very well maintained and owner is super helpful with instructions and helpful tips.

This was my second visit to Marthas and once again it did not disappoint. This time we decided to book specifically for a father son fishing trip. We had a blast caught plenty bass blue gill and some catfish. I normally never catch any bass but they were pumping on my hook all weekend. Martha is always helpful very responsive and so polite she always leaves a little snack in kitchen when you enter. The furniture is cozy and very comfortable the setting is relaxing and beautiful view. The neighbors are polite great restaurants nearby and easy to drive to with many grocery stores close by the locals are so friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic stay at Kirk’s place. The decor was rustic and comfortable! We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. Not far from Flat Rock! We booked this for attending a concert at Flatrock Theater and it was very convenient! Kirk was so quick to answer any questions! Thanks for sharing your home with us! I’m sure we will be back!

Wonderful stay at the happy red cabin! It’s a special place perfect for unwinding and unplugging. The town of Saluda has excellent food and lots of nature around to explore. The cabin is comfortable and clean, also private and quiet. We will definitely return!

The Lake Summit Nest, Dock and Boathouse exceeded our expectations! It was truly a place where we were able to retreat and rest amid beautiful, tranquil surroundings. The accommodations were immaculate and the kitchen replete with every tool we needed to prepare the meals we ate there. Wonderful coffee, a fridge and cabinets stocked with thoughtful purchases enhanced our experience and enjoyment. There were dozens of special touches that only an empathetic host would think to provide that made our stay more convenient and pleasant. To list them all would be impossible. Melinda is a superb host! There’s so much to do in the area, as well as being a true haven of quiet rest. The boat dock, with its kayaks, SUP boards and opportunities for water play were great. My husband had fun catching fish from the dock and the kayak. We have stayed in many Airbnbs in the U.S. and other countries and The Nest will stand out in our memories as the best!
