We received a very warm welcome from Fiona when we arrived, the ‘check-in’ was smooth, clear and friendly and we immediately felt at home. The house is exceptional quality, located in a beautiful spot, drivable to local villages and also well located for easy motorway access. All rooms in the house are really well appointed with plenty of space for our family, including kids. We appreciated the little touches Fiona added, such as home baked goods, jams, eggs and chocolate. The house was perfect for our long weekend in the area, and we fully recommend this house to others - we would certainly like to return again.

Sivesh warmly welcomed us on our arrival and introduced us to the lovely house. The house was big, warm and full of characters. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was really good. Pathma was very responsive when we had a question about Wi-Fi. They also provided a highchair and a cot for my baby, which was very accommodating. The baby watched loads of planes taking off from the kitchen window, which was new and exciting for him and definitely a plus point for us!

Lovely place to stay with great views. Susan was very helpful throughout from booking to leaving. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

The Shippen was perfect for our stay in Manchester with our son. It is really well laid out with en-suites in both bedrooms, spotlessly clean and with beautiful views across the countryside. Beverley and David have thought of everything, giving us a really comfortable, and quiet retreat - perfect. We hope to return.

We really enjoyed our stay at Brow Farm. The views from the cottage are absolutely beautiful and the cottage itself was very cosy and comfortable. Though surrounded by amazing countryside, the cottage is a very short walk into New Mills center - so perfect location wise. The hosts were very friendly and we would highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely be staying again. It’s something different and so peaceful! We sat outside and lit a fire and looked out at the amazing views. Thankyou so much for our stay we can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely wonderful little place! My partner and I came for an over might stay and everything was faultless. Idyllic surroundings, a super cute and cosy shepherds hut and a very communicative host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again many times. Brilliant 🤩

We really enjoyed our 6 night stay at Little Barn, it was super! A beautiful surrounding of green hills and trees made it a very peaceful stay... the sunsets were very special. Everything inside the cottage was perfect and David and Beverley were very friendly, approachable and happy to help with any questions I had.

Absolutely magical stay! Sarah’s Airbnb exceeded all expectations. The private lake was serene and perfect for morning coffees and evening strolls, and the hot tub under the stars was the ultimate way to unwind. The scenery is absolutely stunning—pictures don’t do it justice. And we can’t forget Wilson the cat, who made us feel truly at home with his cheeky little visits (and his “presents”)! Every detail was thoughtful, and Sarah was a fantastic host. We’ll definitely be back!

Een prachtige plek midden in de natuur. Mooi en slim ingerichte woning met werkelijk alles wat je nodig zou kunnen hebben. En leuke verwenelementen, zoals een ruim welkomstpakket aan eten, grote, dikke handdoeken en een supergoed uitgeruste keuken. Julia was er om ons te verwelkomen en weer om ons uit te zwaaien. Tussendoor reageerde ze snel en vriendelijk op een bericht van ons met een vraagje. Zo veel mooie wandelmogelijkheden in de buurt en leuke dorpjes. ALles ziet er extra mooi uit in de lente en toevallig hadden we ook geweldig weer. Zeer aan te raden!

If you want to get away from the city while still being close to it… this place is it. Cute little “den” on a farm. You are out in the green, great views of the city from the hills. Just horse farms and meadows around though 😇 Chris is very friendly and helpful and a great host. The place itself is simple and efficient, like a tiny house.

Booth Farm was a beautiful farm house surrounded by wonderful scenery. It is part of a small cluster of houses and farm buildings a short drive from the small town of Hayfield. The farm house is beautifully presented with a bathroom for each of the double bedrooms. The kitchen diner was a great space for chatting, preparing food and eating. The beds were a little firm for my old bones, and we all had a little trouble setting the temperature in the showers but I would say we all enjoyed our stay greatly and I would recommend both the farm house and Duncan.

Liza was a fantastic host who was on hand for any questions we had throughout the booking. The home was as described and a great spot just outside Marsden. The track to the property requires careful driving as parts were off-road. This was however explained to us beforehand by Liza prior to staying.

Amazing view, peaceful and quiet. Open plan living room was spacious and well presented. The bed was very comfortable and experience was great overall.

A very comfortable little home gave us a fantastic view over surrounding farmland and hills. We were able to see lots of wildlife up close, right next to the hut! We didn't use the car for two days as we relaxed or walked through fields to the town and enjoyed boating, coffee, ice-cream and walking round. We took a short drive to Marsden and soaked up the history of the canal tunnel. We had an excellent break!

The place was stunning amazing scenery the host was so helpful throughout our stay and the cottages was beautiful inside and out the decor was stunning bathrooms kitchen very modern wish we could of stayed longer had a great family time xx

Wow!! What an amazing stay we had at the Granary. The location is like a picture postcard, surrounded by fields of sheep and horses. Cliff the host was amazing and couldn’t have been more helpful. Kitchen had everything we needed, bed was so comfy (I’m 6’3 and get back ache but non from that bed) large bathroom and great shower. His 2 dogs Woody and Arthur were welcome visitors and we have had an amazing, peaceful and relaxing 9 days. Sitting outside watching the wildlife with no other noise was so tranquil and will definitely be back. Thanks Cliff and it’s a 10/10 from us :)

Lovely home, with great facilities. It’s in a lovely location with some nice walks and pubs nearby. Would really recommend for a bigger group!

Great place to stay for the weekend of our relatives’ wedding. Check in was straightforward and hosts welcoming. Super house, load of space and well equipped with everything we needed. Lovely private and secure garden for the pooch. Drive for off road parking. Cool tv and audio facilities. Sparkly clean top to bottom. Thoughtful touches like local walking books and a local map with recommendations for places to go up on the wall in the study. Even tea / coffee / shower gel / dishwasher tabs in case we had forgotten. Comfortable and homely. Loved it. Looking forward to visiting again. Thanks!

We had a wonderful family stay over Easter weekend. The property suited us perfectly, providing plenty of space for the number of guests in a very comfortable, peaceful and practical setting. The views of the picturesque Cheshire countryside are delightful, we enjoyed spotting rabbits, pheasant and the local cats in the opposite fields. The garden was also a great size, again with plenty of space for all to enjoy. The astroturf meant that when it did rain it dried out very quickly so there was no need to worry about a muddy lawn. The location is brilliant!! A fantastic National Trust property, easy countryside walks and a traditional, cozy country pub right on its doorstep step. What more could you want!! Matthew was a brilliant host, with great communication and detailed instructions to ensure an easy check in. Would highly recommend the property and look forward to another stay in the future.

We had a lovely stay and Bob is a great host. The cottage is spotlessly clean and has everything you need. It is in a beautiful location with a wonderful view from the bedroom. The thoughtful touches were very much appreciated too. We would definitely recommend.

We live in Australia and wanted a place close to our family to spend Xmas with. We stayed at Cliffs place for a month. It was absolutely beautiful. I was worried we’d find the large open space too cold for us Aussies but with the under floor heating it was always so comfortable. We had been dreaming of a roaring fire surrounded by snow and stunning views and that’s what we got. Cliff was always available for any questions and help and very friendly giving advice of local country walks and places to eat. I couldn’t recommend high enough we will definitely be back.
