We had a fabulous stay at the lighthouse cottage on Davaar. Ned and Toni were brilliant hosts from start to finish, amazing and clear communication, and super helpful. Ned was brilliant at helping drive us and our things over to the island and getting us checked in, and the cottage itself is really lovely, with everything you could need, including a lovely living room and kitchen area, light and spacious bedrooms with great views, and the location is second to none. Having a whole island with almost nobody else on it to explore and relax at was truly the perfect holiday and we’d love to visit again. Thank you so much Ned and Toni!

When we booked Otter’s Cabin we were looking for somewhere to relax and have some time to unwind and Otter’s Cabin gave us just that. The cabin itself is rustic and unique but this is exactly what we were looking for. The floating bridge was an adventure with 2 dogs before our day began but they got used to it quickly and by the time we left they were crossing it like pros. The views were outstanding and the seal visitors were a delight to watch. I would highly recommend Otter’s Cabin for anyone looking for a little piece of Scotland to relax in peace and tranquility.

Great location, great hosts, and an overall wonderful stay. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short due to an emergency, but we’d absolutely love to come back in the future. The place had everything we needed, and we felt completely at home during our time there. One tip for anyone visiting during the colder months — be sure to pack warm clothing, especially for moving between the different cabins. The views and peaceful setting made it a really special experience, even with our shorter stay.

We had a lovely couple of days break at Ian’s. He greeted us and gave us all the information we would need for a quick check in. If you enjoy quirky, scenic, historic, picturesque accommodation and timeless scenery, this is the place for you. We have two dogs and they absolutely loved it! Great skies at night and the hot tub wasn’t too shabby either. The best quirk is the floating bridge which in certain weather conditions can be fun. It offers a unique and playful side to this wonderful look back to a time when things were “simpler”.

Beautiful spacious house . Thomas gray house. Great location. Grounds really nice. Even used hot tub as weather was sunny and warm. Jerry had made sure that was ready. Kitchen lovley. Bedrooms really nice. Tv in every room. Games consoles grandkids made use of. Lovley family house. Would go thete again no problem. Jerry thought of everything very very good host.

David's place was cosy and peaceful and felt like a little slice of heaven. Watching the Sparrowhawk live on the TV was a wonderful experience and my partner and I slept very well on the comfortable bed. We awoke to the birds dawn chorus and enjoyed an idyllic morning looking out into the garden with a cuppa, which started our day off right! We'd definitely stay again.

We stayed at Thomas Gray House, 2 adults with 3 teenagers. We absolutely loved the location, stunning setting and lots of nearby walks with great views. A couple of really nice pubs to walk to in local village and we combined it with a trip to morecambe on one day and Windermere on another day which were both within about half an hours drive. Jerry was uber responsive for any questions and gave nice video instructions on how to access property etc.

Such a beautiful place to stay! Highly recommend for big a big family get together or just a small friends get together! So nice and friendly, he was always so easily contacted! 1000000% stay again

We had a wonderful time on Gometra. Such a special, peaceful place! If you're lucky with the weather it feels like a paradise on earth. The hike there was also beautiful and very managable. We we're positively surprised by the hot bath, quite a luxury for such a simple place. It did get really cold, especially at night, so you should be prepared for that. But it's all worth it! And the great Honesty Shop being right next door allowed for a spontaneous hot chocolate to warm up a little:) Overall a wonderful experience we are really grateful for!

Absolutely Fantastic!! What a beautiful, peaceful place. Brilliant set up. We wanted quiet, remote and away from the crowds and that's what we got. The views are amazing, couldn't stop looking over Campbeltown Loch, watching the seals and sea otters catching fish. Ned & Toni (& Collies) are perfect hosts. Everything is thought of, everything you need to know is provided before your stay. Nice little extra touches in the Cabins. Above and beyond. There's more than everything you need in the cabins. We're definitely staying again and definitely not telling anyone about it........ it's our little secret!....... OK, maybe we will. Thanks to you both. What a memorable experience. If we could give you more than 5 stars, we would of.

Beautiful place and as described. Loved it. The sunrise over the mainland was incredible. What a place to wake up. Jinty was attentive. Great glamping hut. Rum is an incredible place.

Jerry was super responsive and responded within minutes whenever we needed something, which was really appreciated (even around midnight 😅). The house is beautiful, very well furnished. Hot tub was a favourite and the river is incredibly scenic.

The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The host left lovely little extras throughout. Like fresh roses in each room, all the base foodstuff and some extras such sweets. It was also spotlessly clean and fresh. The setting is simply stunning, right on the loch side and with views across to the Cullins. I recommend this property to anyone, you won’t be disappointed. It was so nice to be pleasantly surprised. Thank you once again Margaret, you are doing a great job with a special place.
