Frank was excellent about the whole trip - arranged parking for us, offered an early check in when he understood we’d be arriving in Whittlesey earlier than the listed check in, very fast response to a question about where to find an extra duvet, and very friendly throughout. Really nice house. Loads of space for 4 adults. Comfy beds, all the kitchen bits and bobs you need and a sun trap decking area that we really enjoyed for breakfast. Oxford centre is a 15-20 minute easy walk. Lots of local pubs etc on way. Pub at end of road has a lovely beer garden. Lido/outdoor pool is a 5 minute walk and would highly recommend on a warm day. Tony was very helpful regarding check in time and couldn’t fault any aspect of the stay.

The cottage, situated in the centre of the lovely village of Great Bowden, was absolutely perfect for all our needs. Extremely well equipped, warm and very welcoming. A wonderful kitchen/dining area…..just right for our family. The sun shining on the glitter ball, in the garden, gave an amazing light display ~ our granddaughter was absolutely mesmerised! Tucked away in the embrace of the countryside, this Birds’ Nest is nothing short of a dream. The moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the soothing sounds of birdsong, the rhythmic tap of a woodpecker, and the view across the fields where lambs played . Mark, ever dedicated to his home, was mowing the extensive lawn, before walking the dogs across the fields. Meanwhile, Sarah welcomed us and guided us through the mudroom to the Bird’s Nest, which exudes both tranquility and spaciousness--but it was the view that most caught our eye. This place brims with authenticity, outdoorness, and space. If you’re lucky, you might see a fox or a hang glider. Our visit here was not simply a stay, but an experience: one of peace, comfort, and timelessness.

I went there with my wife for her birthday and spent a couple of nights. The place is very serene. Apartment is impeccable and felt like home. The spa staff is awesome. They even helped me plan a surprise for my wife. The host is also very helpful and responsive.

Everything went very well. The flat is comfortable, especially the living room upstairs! We had a great time. Edward was very kind and it was easy to communicate.

Could’ve asked for a better location - as it’s a city centre spot everything was walkable which is exactly what we wanted. If you’re after peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. Spotlessly clean, friendly host, comfy bed, with all amenities you would expect. Highly recommend!

Two years after our last stay in Binsey, we were very happy to return for another week. It was a very nice welcome, we had lovely conversations with Alison and Steve. Binsey is unique, quite, excellent if you need time to write or read. Rent a bike for journeys to Jerchio, the city center, colleges or the University hospital. We can highly recommend this place and hope to return in the near future.

Jaany was very clear in explaining that the Hide did not have a bath or shower. This was not a problem. The room was beautifully furnished - a very comfortable bed - and super clean. She was warm in her communication and very helpful. [ I left behind my phone charger and lead so she contacted me and explained where I could retrieve outside her house later that day. ]

Gorgeous flat, equipped with everything I needed. Slept great, I like the design, really felt the luxury. Everything was clean, cute, and exactly where it should be. Thank you to host. Would book again

Beautiful cottage style house very homely with lots of personal expression in the decor and personal effects (instruments and furnishings) Very spacious both inside and outside. Close enough to Milton Keynes for our event and close to surrounding towns but very quiet residential area with quaint little strip of shops and a post office. Was ideal stay for our purposes at a time where all accommodation was high it was fairly priced although I did mention it was not most ideal price but when you get there and see that your in their home and protecting their space it is clear why it’s priced as such. This is a stay that will feel like you’re in someone’s home, however, the communication and instructions allow you to feel at ease and welcome. Neighbours seemed lovely and friendly and the cat was a welcomed visitor. Cannot fault the property or its amenities at all would love to stay again

A very relaxing place had a few days off work and this helped me relax and clear my mind. Was peaceful and beautiful, jaw was on the floor when I first walked it was better than photos showed

Sarah’s place was a great place to stay. We visited as a group of friends and the grounds were a real highlight - including the lake and hot tub! The mezzanine bedroom is fully private. Would recommend!

We had an amazing time at the Cottage! The bed was super comfy, and the whole place is incredibly peaceful – perfect for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some quiet time. The surroundings are beautiful, and Angela was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

lovely place, spotless and as described. only thing i could mention is if you're like me and have a phobia of birds there are a lot of geece! aside from that beautiful peaceful place.
