A lovely, dog friendly stay up north! Lots of cool art inside. Beautiful property! One of the top Airbnb stays we’ve had. We were in town for my sister’s wedding reception a few miles away at Lost Lake Woods Club, this was the closet location to the venue that allowed dogs. The place was very clean with a well stocked kitchen. The bed was comfy and bedding was very nice. Dogs enjoyed space to run around off leash. If I find myself in the area again, I would definitely return to Autumn & Greg’s place.

Our third year in a row staying here and like always everything was perfect. Matthew is a great host, very responsive and always helpful. The property is perfect, always clean and clear instructions on check out. Has everything a family would need. This will always be our go to BNB when visiting Alpena. I asked my 9, 8 & 5 year old about the best part of our stay, and they all agreed that the hot tub, fire pit for s’mores and the board games were the best part. I enjoyed having a quiet space to get homework done with a view of the water. This was the perfect get away for a family of 5! We enjoyed staying inside, cooking meals & enjoying the house itself. It is beautiful inside and out, exactly like the photos and had everything we needed for our stay. We can’t wait to come back during the summer time to go out on the lake!

The Lake House was absolutely perfect for our busy family of five (kids ages 14, 11, and 8) plus our golden doodle! We even extended our trip one more day because we didn’t want to leave! The house had plenty of space and everything we needed and more. The property was beautiful and secluded. We spent our time drinking our coffee on the wooden swing watching the sun rise, swimming in the lake, catching frogs and crayfish, and cooking over the campfire at night. The lake is pretty shallow off the dock, so we weren’t able to fish there but we rented a boat from Dodge Marine (highly recommend) and spent a lot of time exploring the rest of Long Lake and fishing. We caught perch, the biggest blue gill I have ever seen, small mouth bass, and pike. Thank you, Nancy, for sharing your home and being a part of creating wonderful memories. It was seriously the best way to close out our summer!

Staying at Two Trees was the perfect fall weekend getaway for my husband, pup and I! The location was perfect to explore the Huron manistee National forest and do some hiking at the Lumberman’s memorial. We also went up to Alpena to try the breweries and the winery. We really enjoyed the Alcona brew haus in harrisville as well - they catered to my husbands allergies and had many vegetarian options for me! Their Oktoberfest was my favorite beer I tried. Our favorite part of the trip was staying at the cabin though - the beach access was amazing and we loved relaxing by the water or walking and rock hunting. The queen bed was also very comfortable and the house has all the amenities you could think of. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking to spend some time in the area, at the beach, or in the National forest!

Comfortable and cozy stay in a beautiful setting - about 30 minutes out from Boyne and even closer to downtown Gaylord. Would highly recommend!

We had a great time. Very beautiful scenery on a peaceful lake. We enjoyed absolute relaxation and didn’t have much reason to leave.

It was the perfect spot and exactly the respite we needed.
