The place is great. The family that lives in the property is very quiet and you don't notice their presence. They are always attentive to any questions and help if needed (shoutout to Rosa and Mario). The place is clean and quite safe. The parking is somewhat limited: there is only space for one vehicle.

Die Lage ist fantastisch und der Pazifik sehr beeindruckend. Donaldo war auch anwesend und hat uns ein paar Super-Tipps für Vulkanbesichtigungen gegeben. Der Ort ist touristisch noch ein unentdecktes Juwel und trotzdem fanden wir gute Restaurants mit außergewöhnlich freundlichen Menschen. Wir warten zwar nicht surfen, der Ort ist aber gerade für Surfer ein genialer Spot.

Manfred was an exceptional host. Very proactive and communicative at all times. He explained everything very clearly.

The apartment was very comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. Perfect for families, as it has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Highly recommended!

Es la segunda vez que visitamos este apartamento, nos gusta muchísimo, es súper cerca de Managua, la piscina está a pasos de la casa al igual que el mar! Es perfecto para ir en familia y con niños pequeños! Definitivamente volveríamos 🤗

La casa es grande, cómoda y muy limpia. La anfitriona esta siempre muy atenta a cualquier pregunta que tengas. El servicio del personal es excelente. Gracias Ana Julia la pasamos súper en tu propiedad, esperamos volver nuevamente y sobre todo recomendarte con amigos y familiares.

La casa cuenta con todo lo necesario para pasarla bien, es ámplia, ideal para grupos grandes, el área de piscina es lo mejor de la casa. Alfonso fue muy accesible y permisivo. Definitivamente volveremos!

The villas are within a gated courtyard. There are 3 separate houses/villas that surround a central palapa with a large central kitchen and pool. We took a large group and rented all three villas. It was beautiful and everyone had a wonderful time.

Lovely place and great hosts. The house was a great place to relax and enjoy some rest. Dave and Arely were brilliant, helpful and super friendly. Definitely recommend as an affordable place that is an alternative to the local youth hostels / surf hotels.

Wow! gran casa y la atención de don Nelson fue maravillosa. Recomendaria en remodelaciones futuras poner techo en la piscina por el sol y adquirir un freezer. la refrigeradora es muy pequeña para familias grandes y conseguir hielo en el pueblo es un poco dificil. pero pasamos 4 días maravillos y Jennelle fue muy buena anfritriona. esperamos volver!

Casa Tortuga at Los Cardones Surf Camp is an absolute gem! The journey to the camp may be a bit challenging—down rural roads and off the beaten path—but the reward is unparalleled. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in a tranquil paradise surrounded by stunning natural beauty. The accommodations at Casa Tortuga are charming and thoughtfully designed, with a rustic elegance that perfectly complements the beachfront setting. Falling asleep to the sound of waves and waking up to a breathtaking sunrise was magical. The surf here is world-class, with uncrowded waves suitable for all skill levels. Beyond surfing, the eco-friendly ethos of the camp, the delicious locally-sourced meals, and the opportunity to truly disconnect made this a rejuvenating retreat. If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable experience, Casa Tortuga is well worth the journey!

My husband, our friends and our kids stayed at Jared and Jenn's for 3 days. The property is amazing, with a path right from the back door to the beach and beautiful tide pools up and down the beach that are great for kids, it was much safer than other open ocean areas. It was very clean when we checked in, Fran is amazing and so kind. Emir was great and found fresh fish for us in the village each day. Wifi was good and air conditioners were well maintained and cold.You will need a high clearance vehicle like a truck or SUV to get back to the house, it's an undeveloped road but it wasn't any issue with our truck and it's only 1km. You walk from the house along the beach to the center of El Transito in about 30-40 minutes. After being in El Transito one night, I see why the road is like that, it keeps the beach where the house is super clean, quiet, and uncrowded. You can't hear the music from town, just waves and birds during the day. We'll be back, such a special spot!!
