Karla was a top notch host! taking extra care to leave lights on for our late arrival and informed us of easy access for our snowmobiles to get onto the bay for our ice fishing trip. the house was super clean and stocked with anything you could ask for! Thank you so much and we will be back!

If you are looking for a luxury hotel feel, this is not the place. but if you are looking for a quiet, serene, and cozy getaway, this IS the spot! The lake is absolutely gorgeous. The community is clean, friendly, and quiet. The cabin has a quaint and cozy 70's vibe. We loved using the kayaks!! It was an easy trip across the lake. Due to the season, there were not a ton of things to do around. But we went hiking at beautiful Deerfield Nature Park and checked out some delicious eateries during our stay. It was the peaceful trip we were hoping for. During the summer months, our kids would love the little beach, paddle boats, and pier access to shallow water. So nice!

The house is on the canal right off the lake. We kept our boat tied up right outside the house. There are a lot of extras. Lucky for us there was an extra gas can because our gas gage started acting up and we ran out of gas in the middle grounds. There are kayaks you can use. There is a washer and dryer, plus a black stone. Lots of room for parking. I loved the king size bed.

Beautiful home that gives you an isolated feeling of being in the woods, but is close to anything you can think of, the perfect peaceful getaway. Candy was a pleasure and more worried about my comfort than I was, this was my second stay at her home and already looking forward to staying again next year.

We were in town for our daughter’s graduation from nursing school and the location was perfect for what we needed. Seemed like we were always 10-15 minutes from every place we needed to be. The extra touches were very thoughtful. Loved the amount of toiletries provided if you for anything. The games provided were amazing too! Had fun playing with our grandson. The water views were so relaxing. Wish it would have been warmer so we could have been at the outside bar area. Maybe next time! Thanks again for sharing your home with us.

Wow.. what an amazing experience, between the host and the property 10/10! Very proactive and professional host, beautiful, cozy, and welcoming Airbnb! A week stay turned into a month stay and lucky for us it was an off season and the host was able to accommodate as needed be! Between the lake view every morning and just in general beautiful property I would highly recommend booking here. Thank you Jeremy for an amazing stay and for just being a great host.

Sarah's place was a dream. My husband and I stayed for my birthday weekend in April 2025 with our toddler and infant. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. We loved the huge kitchen with space to cook our own Easter meal, decorate eggs, and spread out all of our children's Easter goodies on the large dining table. The kitchen and living area are the best parts of the home -- spacious, clean, and free of clutter. We loved waking up each morning to the lake view along with the accessibility of the grill and hot tub just steps from the kitchen/dining/living area. Sarah was a proactive and welcoming host, and did everything she could to try to make it right when we found the coffeemaker missing (a previous guest had broken it, and it was being replaced). This is a remote location perfect for getting away from the city, but Tawas is a quick 30-40 minute drive away with a cute downtown, pier, and state park. We definitely felt rejuvenated after our stay -- thank you!!!

My Mother was getting married in Hale and we desperately needed to find somewhere to stay and.. WOW! We were SO excited when we found this place! It was so beautiful and quiet and it had just the relaxation we needed for the weekend of a wedding! All hosts were SUPER responsive and answered every question I had (even the silly ones) and my favorite part.. the pillows were so comfortable. I struggled with constant pain due to a private diagnosis and I felt so comfortable here. I would absolutely book again if I ever found myself out here. The price was absolutely perfect for what it was! It was even cuter than in the photos as well!! My husband and brother loved the pool tables and the rest of my family absolutely loved the water accommodations. Book here!!! You won’t regret it!!!

The cottage was immaculately clean, with plenty of amenities that made us feel right at home. Excellent communication by the hosts again made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended, and we'll be back in the summer for sure!

We had another great time with my brothers and a few close friends for our annual ice fishing getaway. This house fits our needs perfectly. It was a very snowy weekend, but was still able to get out and ice fish and enjoy the Houghton Lake area! I would highly recommend this home when visiting the Houghton Lake area.

Was very nice to get away and just relax. There was a storm hitting the area and very cold and windy but the home was very comfortable. Felt at home and will definitely be back over the summer!

My family, friends, and I enjoyed staying at Tim’s property once again. Tim is easy to reach if needed for anything, and was a great host. The property is well located and beautiful! Walking distance to dine out, or just a few minutes drive to get groceries, while still feeling tucked away. We hope to stay again next summer.

This was my first time renting an Airbnb and I was hesitant given the reputation. Christina's cabin was beyond 5 stars. Quiet, remote, peaceful, and beautiful. There were instructions for any questions you could think of. Christina has thought of everything. Even if something was forgotten, Christina had extra. I will be back for another fall vacation at this cabin in the future.

Mardi was a wonderful host! Her place was comfortable and had everything you would ever need. Would definitely stay at Mardi’s place again and would definitely recommend.

Great overnight stay and a responsive understanding host

Jeff and Ashlee are both amazing. We felt so at home. The cabin was more than we hoped for. You feel like you’re sitting right on the beach from pretty much anywhere in the cabin. We started looking for availability for our next trip before we even left. We already miss the two Eagles and the mallard ducks! It was our 47th anniversary and staying in the fishbowl made it perfect. Don’t have one negative thing to say.

We were given great instructions on how to find the home, and how to get in. It was perfect in every way and we had a terrific time enjoying the home, Little Bertha Lake views, and a campfire one evening. It was very peaceful; we would definitely love to return at some time in the future. Thank you for sharing, Rick!
