We were scheduled to stay at this house for a week, but due to Hurricane Helene, we had to evacuate after three days. For the time we were there, the house was very nice and we greatly enjoyed the large living room area. That was definitely the highlight of the home. We would have liked to explore the area more and utilize some of their recommendations, but unfortunately, that was not possible. Would recommend the house to people looking for a large area for people to gather and talk.

Great location, just far enough from downtown to feel very peaceful, but an easy drive to get down to shops/restaurants. Check-in/check-out was very easy and the hosts were very communicative and friendly! Kitchen could have been a little better stocked (i.e., there was dish soap but no sponge, a coffeemaker but no filters) but nothing we couldn't work around. Overall a great stay!

Came for a short weekend trip and it was absolutely as described! The place felt very clean and well taken care of. Host was very helpful and communicative and was willing to reasonably accommodate our worries of traveling during the winter storm that passed through the day of our check-in, luckily we ended up making it! I would absolutely visit this property again.

The place was great for myself and a few buddies to get away for a short weekend. The place was just as advertised. Perfect table for DnD.

Rented Stephen’s Mountain Chalet based on Airbnb pictures, description, and reviews. Place was spot on and exactly what we needed and looking for. Went here with wife, daughter, and two teenage grandchildren. Plenty of room for all of us. Loved the layout inside and hot tub outside. My daughter and granddaughter went in 4 nights in a row. Wife and I went in twice. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make breakfasts and dinners almost every night. I’m guessing water was from a well. It was cold and excellent tasting. We brought some bottled water but ended up drinking water from Kitchen sink. All beds were very comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows. Washed clothes once with no issues. Both washer and dryer were great and easy to use. We loved the place and were sorry it went by so quickly. Would stay here again, if available, should we be in area again. Who knows, maybe this summer. Never know. Thanks Stephen for a great stay.

Peaceful and quiet surroundings. This little chalet had everything I needed for my week stay. Danny was helpful and friendly. Quick to communicate. I loved that they provided plenty of linens. You can tell they care about their guests and that they have a great stay in Kingsport. Will definitely book again.

From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful and private setting. The scenic views of the surrounding mountains were truly breathtaking, offering a stunning backdrop for our getaway. The host, Rick, was incredibly communicative and helpful throughout the entire process, from booking to check-out. He provided all the necessary information promptly and was readily available to answer any questions we had. We truly appreciated the great amenities provided, which made our stay comfortable and convenient. One of the highlights was the proximity to many attractions. We were able to easily explore the local area and enjoy various activities without long drives. What truly made our stay special were the thoughtful little touches provided by the host. These small gestures went a long way in making us feel welcome and cared for. Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Grandfather View. It's a perfect spot for anyone seeking a peaceful and scenic retreat with a great host!

Tom’s place is an excellent option for large groups or families. Located right along the French Broad River overlooking the northern extent of the Biltmore Estate, this place offers good views, very comfortable accommodations, and plenty to do both within the AirBnb and nearby. We were just a short distance from all Asheville has to offer, making getting to and from a breeze, even with a group of 10. If you’re looking for a sizable location for a weekend away, check out Tom’s place.

We stayed with family for the week and we had a blast. House was beautiful and we had so much room for everyone. Everyone had their own bathroom so that was a plus. House was in the mountains so it was peaceful and the drive to town was only 15 minutes. Justin always responded quick when I had a question. I’d def recommend this house to others. If we decide to come back again I would definitely book this house again.

Hosted our annual family get together at this location and it did not dissappoint. Beautiful home and surrounding property. Very quiet and peaceful with very nice hiking trails with elevation on property. Had 5 cars and a motorcycle in our group and had no problem parking. Fire area was very nice and we saw some good sized fish in the pond. Kitchen was well furnished and worked well for our large meals. Grill out back is nice and clean. Used the clubroom for gamenight a few times and had a great time. Love that every room has a balcony, you could lounge on during the morning. All you could hear were the birds or frogs at night. Had to contact the owner about a minor issue and they responded immediately. Highly reccommend this home and these hosts.

Our family of five had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Knot Too Shabby! The home was clean, comfortable, cozy, and very well equipped with everything we needed for our visit to Pigeon Forge and the Smokey Mountains. We especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub, watching movies, and spent a lot of time playing games together in the loft. The spacious kitchen made preparing meals easy and enjoyable, and we loved using the grill in the evenings. It was the perfect place to unwind and spend quality time together! Great communication by the hosts as well made the stay very easy and enjoyable. We highly recommend Knot to Shabby!

A little slice of HEAVEN! Beautiful views, very peaceful. All the amenities from coffee to QTips were appreciated !!! We loved our time here!! The beauty of nature plus excellent shopping combined to make it a marvelous escape for a WIDE variety of personalities!! This sister/cousin group had a glorious time.

We really loved our stay. It was exactly what we needed to relax during our anniversary get away. We enjoyed a day of sightseeing in Downtown Gatlinburg and loved that it was so close! The cabin was fully stocked and we spent a day just hanging out at the house. Enjoyed playing all the games available and drinking coffee while looking out one of the many many windows at the gorgeous views. Really was a gorgeous spot!

Such a charming spot and gorgeous vintage home! The lower level was so perfect for our kids and for cozy movie night. Bob was an excellent host. We’ll return for sure!

Wonderful location close to all the local happenings yet, far enough away for peacefulness. Super cute, well stocked with all needed necessities. Loved the thoughtful gift at check in. Definitely will be keeping this “one” on my do list again.

Perfect waterfront stay for couple or small family. Beautiful scenery revealing God’s handiwork in the mountains surrounding Lake Chatuge. Peaceful, serene setting. Sit back on the porch and take it all in. Great place to recharge.

My family enjoyed our stay at the chalet and the gorgeous views of the lake and mountains. Our hosts provided everything you could need for a vacation at the lake, and it was quiet and peaceful but close enough to the action. Unfortunately the flooding from Hurricane Helene prevented us from swimming or kayaking but we enjoyed the property and it was not far from the activity on the Parkway. We hope to return to enjoy the lake with friends next summer!

We absolutely loved this place as a get away for a couples’ weekend so much so that we are planning to return with our children this summer. It’s very homey and has everything you need to disconnect from things and relax. We can’t wait to return!
