We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful 8-sleeper getaway for New Year’s! The place was spotless, well-equipped, and truly felt like a home away from home. All we had to bring was our food, which made things so convenient. Our family had such an amazing time that we’re already looking at upcoming dates to book again. I was initially concerned about not having a TV for the kids, but they had so much fun that it wasn’t missed at all. The fishing was excellent, even with the dam’s water levels being low. If we could suggest one improvement, it would be to add fans in the rooms as it does get quite hot at night. Other than that, everything was perfect. A big thank you to the host for their excellent service and attention to detail. Keep up the great work – we’ll definitely be back soon!

This was our second visit to Frans place and it was as if we returned to family. Fran and Rick are extremely accommodating superhosts and we will definitely recommend them and their place without any reservations. Frans is our go to home away from home. We came for a night on the way down to the cape… loved it so much that we came back for 2 nights a week later on our return to Pretoria, Hennie is more than a host - he is our friend and we can’t wait to come stay with him again … We will be back next year for sure! This unit is part of a well-established and long-popular resort in a fabulous location within the central Berg. It's an excellent base to explore the many attractions this part of the world has to offer, but the resort also offers several amenities in its own right.

A Perfect Riverside Escape We recently spent a weekend at this charming 2-bedroom house on the banks of the Vaal River, and it was everything we could have hoped for! The location is absolutely stunning, offering peaceful, scenic views of the river right from the doorstep. The house itself was cozy, well-maintained, and had all the essentials we needed for a comfortable stay. The bedrooms were spacious, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest after a day spent relaxing by the water. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. One of the highlights was being so close to the river—it was a delight to wake up to the sound of water flowing and to spend time sitting outside, taking in the natural beauty. Whether you're looking to fish, enjoy a quiet escape, or just relax by the water, this house is an ideal spot. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the serenity of the Vaal River.

Nice cottage with a great view in really nice surroundings. Kat was very friendly and pointed us in all the right directions - can happily recommend staying here!

Wir haben uns bei Julian gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Es hat sich sehr um unsgekümert und uns sehr viele Tips gegeben. Der Ort selber ist einmalig. Wir haben die Ruhe und das Private sehr genossen. Der Hotpot war einfach super. Schon das einheizen und zu später Stunde das Bad unter dem schönen Sternenhimmel war einmalig. Auch das Bungalow und die Umgebung laden zum Verweilen ein. Aus dem eigenen Hofladen kann man Esswaren kaufen und auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich

The cottage itself is simple, stylish, and thoughtfully put together—everything you need and nothing you don’t. Emma is a warm and welcoming host, and the entire place radiates calm. This is slow, soulful living at its best. We didn’t want to leave—and can’t wait to come back.

What an amazing Farm Lodge . The staff were all very hospitable … and on the ball :) The place perfect for our group of 13 8 adults 5 teenagers … Everyone had their space , rooms were very clean and beds were super comfy ! Kitchen had so much of space 😃 Gardens were impeccable ! Kids got to do some horse riding Kayaking And the rock pool ….. Hope to be back ….

The setting of the lodge is second to none. Scenery for days and not another person in sight! We were 2 families with kids and had an amazing stay. The house itself was very comfortable and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it.
