Qué harás

The traditional pottery workshop shares with new friends & people interested in Mexican Culture, Arts & Crafts, how to make your own functional pottery. Using mexican clay, learn how to build your own objects from scratch, using simple hand-building techniques that date back to Prehispanic times, as well as others from the modern era. If you feel like taking your piece after we finish the experience. We will be able to ship it over to your country after it passed through the drying process (2weeks), firing (1week), making a little box from the exact measurement of your piece(1 week) and finally ship it over to you. The cost for shipping is extra from the cost of the experience.

Dónde estarás

My lovely studio is a brand new location in Aldea Zama, a wonderful neighbor hood in Tulum Town. I have a little exhibition of all of my art work as well. Very comfortable wooden table and cosy sits for a nice and enjoyable creative stay. Plus we do have air conditioning. We are located right behind the very well known restaurant called Chacabar. You can google it as "Laguna Collective the studio" and will give you the way to get here.

Highly recommend attending a class with Laguna Collective Studio while in Tulum! Our pottery class was small and intimate. We got lots of 1 on 1 time with the instructor, who shared cultural history about pottery making in Mexico. It was really great to do an activity that wasn’t all about sight seeing and more about the culture!

I really loved Karen and her course. What she had to teach me. The course is artistic and spiritual and truly for everyone. I'm kind of addicted and already want to go back.

We had so much fun creating our own coffee mugs! Karen was very knowledgable about the clay and it was great to learn about where it comes from & how it is traditionally used. It was helpful to see past classes' creations in the studio to get our creative energies flowing and get ideas. The mid-class local pastry snacks were delicious & the music provided such a nice workshop ambiance. The 3-hour time slot is the perfect amount of time to create something special - we ran over a few minutes and Karen was so nice and didn't make us feel rushed at all. I would retake this workshop and recommend it to others. It's a beginner-friendly course and also great if you have a little experience with clay!

Aprendí algo nuevo , creí que la clase sería de CERAMICA tradicional, esto es más interesante ya que es más artístico y eso me dejo muy satisfecho y con ganas de seguir en este tema y claro que así será.
