Tempe is an authentic Indonesia food, originally from Java Island. Known since 1600 century, Tempe is food for everyone, rich of protein and many nutrients. Best to get Tempe from local market or directly to the producer. On this program we'll take you to visit Pak Is, one of hundreds of tempe producers available in Bali, at nearby our house. He generously allows us to witness him doing his work, a home industry of making Tempe. Learn from him step by step to make a perfect Tempe.
After having good knowledge about Tempe, we'll be ready to cook our vegetarian Lunch at our open air kitchen at our house. We'll make a couple of dishes from Tempe, Sayur Urab a vegetable dish made of some greens and beans mixed with grilled coconut grated, as well as some local vegetarian menu that the recipes you can to easily make at home. You can join us to cook or just watch and take note.
Finally we will have our 6 dishes Vegetarian Lunch in the garden with family atmosphere our cozy house, hoping that you can take the memory home that we are delighted to share.
