Room with private bathroom in city centre apartment, a short walk to all main sights and attractions, and with wonderful views across Belfast.
LOCATION The apartment is located in the city centre, right in the heart of Belfast’s historic docklands, known locally as Sailortown. Less than a ten minute walk will take you into the vibrant Cathedral Quarter, which hosts an array of charming and popular bars full of character, many restaurants, a range of arts and cultural venues, such as the new MAC theatre, as well as Belfast’s gay bars and clubs. A further five minute walk will take you to Belfast City Hall as well as Victoria Square Shopping Centre, and St George's market. A short stroll from the apartment across the river Lagan will take you to all the Titanic attractions, including the new visitor centre, the SS Nomadic, the Titanic Pump House, as well as the original dry dock where the ship was built. All of Belfast’s main music and concert venues – the Odyssey arena, Waterfront Hall, Ulster Hall and Grand Opera House – are all within a 10-20 minute walk. Conveniently, there is a large Tesco superstore within a 5 minute walk. BEDROOM / BATHROOM The room is comfortable and cozy, containing a standard double bed, a desk (with lots of brochures on local attractions and events), and a built-in wardrobe for your use. You will have the sole use of a private bathroom which is beside the bedroom. Although it’s not en-suite, it will be completely yours, as I have my own bathroom which I always use. Towels are provided, of course, a hairdryer and also a range of toiletries for your convenience. APARTMENT The apartment has stunning panoramic views over the Belfast skyline. This is my home and I live here. You will have use of facilities and amenities, which includes free WiFi, Cable TV, washing machine, fridge, iron etc, and you are welcome to prepare light snacks only or use the microwave in the kitchen, but not to cook meals. BREAKFAST I will always have fresh juice, teas, coffee, cereals, porridge, fruit, bagels or croissants and jams available, which you are very welcome to. Also, there is a coffee shop on the ground floor, which opens from 7.30. (It isn't open weekends). PARKING Unfortunately, there is no on site parking available. However, if staying in Belfast, a car isn't necessary. TOURS Please ask me about Black Taxi political tours of Belfast, or visiting the Giants Causeway (which I definitely recommend) ME I work in the city, about 15 minutes walk from the apartment, and I always try to meet new guests on arrival and answer any questions you have as well as offering some advice on what to do in Belfast. I've lived in Belfast all my life – it’s a wonderful city and you will not be disappointed as there’s so much to do. Please do get in touch with me in advance of your stay if you would like some advice or help with making arrangements or bookings. Sailor town was situated in the Docks area of Belfast city centre roughly 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre. At one time over 5,000 people lived in the small, cobblestoned streets of red-brick terraced houses packed between the docks and York Street. Visiting sailors from many European nations (in particular those bordering the Baltic Sea) and from even as far away as India and China added to the resident population, which was mixed Protestant and Catholic. My place is close to restaurants and dining, nightlife, public transport. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. This is a two bedroom flat and you will be sharing the flat with the Sajjad and Sarah. You will have your own private bathroom.
The apartment is in Belfast City Centre so it's within walking distance to all the attractions. It's just across the road from the popular Cathedral Quarter and St Anne's Square, full of nice pubs and restaurants. Within this area you will see the 5 star Merchant Hotel with beautiful dining hall and an attached Jazz bar. We are right on the water, beside the 'Big Fish'. The flat overlooks the water so you get stunning river views from your bedroom and the living area. You can catch the Titanic Boat Tour from downstairs which will take you down the water and explain the local history. Walk across the foot bridge beside the apartment and you can visit the Odyssey Centre or Titanic Visitors Centre. A two minute walk will have you at the pickup location for the City Sightseeing Bus. You'll see the famous Albert Clock on your walk. Within the City Centre you can find lots of shops and two shopping Centres (Castle Court and Victoria Square). Victoria Square has a glass dome top which you can access and it allows panoramic views of the City. It’s in a quiet residential area on the banks of the river Lagan. The SSE Arena ,Waterfront Hall ,St Georges Market and vibrant Cathedral Quarter are all literally on your doorstep - less than 1 km away. The Titanic Exhibition Center and Museum are approximately 1.3 km away. Public transport is also very accessible.
The apartment can sleep a maximum of four people. There’s one bedroom which has a double bed and a single bed. There’s also a sofa bed in the living room. Please note that we will leave extra bedding for the sofa bed only if requested and use of this facility incurs an extra charge of £5. It's probably more suitable for three guests. Please be aware that if you book for four people you might find it slightly cramped as the fourth bed is a sofa bed. This is a host who will do there absolute best to make it a good stay.
The property is bright and comfortable. Open plan has a round dining table and chairs, TV. The room is bright with patio doors, comfortable leather suite and a modern kitchen. The area lends itself to a sociable area, with personal space provided in the bedrooms.There will be a £100 fine for breaking house rules; no smoking and no noise after 2300.
This is a modern bright apartment in a large apartment block, located on the river Lagan between the Georges Market, Waterfront Hall and (Central) Lanyon Railway station. It has a gated entrance into a car park (shared space provided). There is coded access to gates and front door, with stairs or a lift to apartment. The apartment is in a quiet complex. Most people here work Full-time, need their peace and quiet (and sleep) with walking access to city centre. The front of the building is on the River and the Tow Path (River Walk) starts at the corner of the building, it goes for 10miles, so a wee (local word for little) walk, jog or day out. Why not hire a 'Belfast Bikes' and aim for a coffee in the famous 'Lockeepers Cottage' followed by a walk in The Lagan Meadows. Head back to the apartment and walk into the Cathedral Quarter for a fun filled evening. No need for a taxi as it's in the centre. Also, a Winter spectacle not to be missed is the Thousands of Starlings (birds) flying over the Albert Bridge. The murmuration forms at dusk and can be seen from the front of the building on the bridge. A spectacle not to be missed....it is beautiful.
